Most medical information systems store clinical information about patients in proprietary format. To address the resulting interoperability problems, several electronic health record (EHr) standards that enable structured clinical content for the purpose of exchange are currently underdevelopment. In this article, we present a brief overview of the most relevant EHr standards, examine the level of interoperability they provide and assess their functionality in terms of content structure, access services, multimedia support and security.

An intelligent prediction algorithm arising from conventional force control models is developed to deal with a force-controlled execution of compliant robot tasks in an unknown environment. The algorithm makes use of the three prediction factors to predict andreadjust the desired trajectory given in hybrid position/force control model orreference trajectory given in impedance model when sampling in future. The last prediction shall be re-evaluated first once a prediction starts and, at the same time, the environmental change in curvature and stiffness should be taken into account. The performance of the proposed scheme is illustrated for an open architecture robot platform. The force tracking experiments for the irregular surface in different control model, different tracking velocity, different desired force, different contact stiffness are executed. The experimental results verify that the proposed method of the intelligent prediction has high adaptability to unknown environment in changing. The contact force error in steady state is within 3 percent in the constrained motion.

We investigated channel estimation with scattered pilots (SPs) in digital terrestrial television broadcasting (dTTB) and the performance of a receiver with a two-dimensional (2d) filter. High-accuracy interpolation is necessary because we perform channel equalization with SPs, which are inserted in transmit signals nonrectangularly. This interpolation is performed with a 2d filter that has a nonrectangular spectrum. However, the generation of the 2d filter involves heavy computational complexity. We propose a method of reducing the computational complexity by designing separable 2d filters. In addition, we present simulation results that compare our method with some conventional methods and show its effectiveness

This paper proposes a scheduling and feedback strategy for the multiuser multiple input multiple output (MIMO) downlink. The base station uses a per-antenna scheduling that maps each transmit antenna to a different user in the downlink. The scheduling is performed based on the channel information obtained via a contention based feedback mechanism. Two design parameters, i.e., a channel quality threshold and a feedback probability, are proposed to adjust the scheduling and feedback behavior of this system. They are updated through a novel online updating procedure using empirically observeddistribution information. The main advantages of the proposed protocol are that it substantially reduces the feedback requirements, still achieves multiuserdiversity gain, and provides some fairness without a priori assumptions about the channel distribution.

Body factor was investigated in tri-gate bulk FinFET for the first time. Increment of on-state current anddecrement of off-state current are achieved by body bias modulation. Electrical measurements were carried out to investigate the body effects in view points of a fin width that governs short-channel effects. A wide fin width was preferable for a dynamic threshold voltage operation and wide range of the threshold adjustment, however, the fin width is limited for suppression of short-channel effects. This work can provide feasibility of dTMOS application of FinFETs for low-power and high-performance application
