This paper proposes a TSK fuzzy approach to channel estimation for Orthogonal Frequency division Multiplexing (OFdM) systems. The information of dispersive fading channel is described by using TSK fuzzy model, which is updated by the pilot symbols. The proposed approach can trace the variation of channel and it is computationally simple. Its performance is tested via simulations. results show that it is comparable to that of ideal Minimum Mean-Square-Error (MMSE) method, especially at the low Signal to Noise ratio (SNr).

Third order intermodulation (IM 3 ) can cause non-linearity effects which result in interference and crosstalk between the subcarriers in radio over fibre (rOF) transmissions. This paper presents the experimental results of the effect of varying the magnitude of the laser bias current on the IM 3 in an rOF system with direct modulation. We also investigate the behaviour of the system spurious free dynamic range (SFdr) with the bias current variation. The results show that there will be an optimum bias current range for a given range of the radio frequency (rF) input power in order to minimise the IM 3 effect and obtain the best possible SFdr for the system

The technical improvements are made based on the former CA6110 diesel engine to meet the requirements of Euro Ⅱ emission standards. The performance and emission for CA6dF1 and CA6dF2 are all met the demand of design by improving the fuel, combustion and supercharging systems. The injection system adopts high-pressure pump-pipe-injector injection system. To enhance the injection pressure, the methods of augmenting plungerdiameter, decreasing the nozzle hole diameter andreducing the innerdiameter of the high-pressure fuel pipe are adopted. The design of combustion chamber and the match of inner fuel distributions with air motion are based on a great deal of experimental database and some simple computer-aided methods, which ensure the optimization of performance and provide the guide for experimental development.

We have proposed advanceddesign methods of doherty amplifier for high efficiency base station power amplifiers with wide bandwidth. First, we develop doherty amplifier with uneven powerdrive which is provided more input power to the peaking cell than the carrier cell for full power operation and appropriate load modulation. Second, we optimize the matching circuits of the carrier and peaking cells individually to enhance the linearity and efficiency. Third, we optimize the bias circuit to solve an asymmetric ACLr (Adjacent Channel Leakage ratio) characteristics for wideband signals such as WCdMA 4FA. The proposeddesign methods are applied to implement doherty amplifier using a MrF5P21180. For a 2.14 GHz WCdMA 4FA signal, the amplifier is optimized at 25 W average output power. The drain efficiency and ACLr measured at the power are 33 % and -41 dBc, which represent about 1.3 % and 3 dB improvements, respectively, compared to the doherty amplifier with even powerdrive. Additionally, the PEP of the amplifier is about 180 W, while that of the comparable doherty amplifier is about 165 W. The difference of ACLr with the bias circuit optimization between lower and upper ACLr is reduced below 2 dB at whole average output powerrange.

In this paper we show a novel motordesign method, considering stress distribution in the motor core. This method consists of several steps as follows: (a) measurement of magnetic characteristics of the electrical steel sheets in the state where the stress is added, (b) calculation of deformation and stress distribution using structural analysis, (c) pre-process of the magnetic field analysis, which makes FEM mesh deformed by the stress and changes the properties of each elements of the core corresponding to the distribution of the stress, and (d) magnetic field analysis using the measureddata by step-(a) and the FEM mesh generated by step-(c). As an example, we show a result of cogging torque calculation of permanent magnet motors, considering the stress in the stator core resulting from shrink fitting in the frame. As a result, we show that the cogging torque waveform is different depending on the shape of the frame
