dennis Baker first became involved with simulation in 1965 when he was at what is now the david W. Taylor Naval Ship research anddevelopment center in Annapolis. There, as a co-op student from drexel University, he met a Tr-48 and spent his entire final work period teaching himself analog programming anddeveloping a simple model of ship *** dennis was not one of the "thrice-filtered friends" I originally solicited, when he told me on the now-famous SCS Silver Anniversary "Crooze" of his research which led to the following contribution I thought it too important an historical note to be left out of this historical issue.
