Metric learning aims to reduce intra-class distance and expand inter-class distance. This paper proposes a distribution optimization algorithm that incorporates interpretable feature engineering (dOIFE). dOIFE explores the local interpretability of each instance, reconstructs the feature space of the training set with reverse weighting, and optimizes the feature space of the target domain to address metric issues. Our approach innovatively derives interpretability weights from the classifier's perspective and applies fine-grained weighting to the instances to optimize the spatial metric. For any classifier, we conduct local interpretability analysis on its results to obtain fine-grained sample weights. In the training space, we designed an interpretable feature engineering method to expand inter-class distance and reduce intra-class distance. For the test space, we developed a unified method that combines ensemble inference and distance metrics to optimize feature distribution. We conducted experiments on classical balanced datasets, long-tail datasets, and image datasets. Comparative experiments with nine distance metric learning algorithms demonstrated the superiority of our algorithm. Statistical tests show that our algorithm can be applied to various classification models, improve classification performance, and offer a certain level of interpretability. © 2024 The Authors. To satisfy the service-side requirements for network layer authentication and traceability of users, this paper proposes a method for mobile terminal authentication and identity tracing based on IPv6 and blockchain. Our method introduces a new verification function (VEF) to verify the interface identification between the terminal and the 5G core network (5GC), thereby effectively enhancing the security of terminal access. Furthermore, considering the privacy protection of user identity information to prevent attackers from deducing encrypted content, it is necessary to periodically update encryption keys. Focusing on the practical deployment of VEFs on a network-wide scale and server-proximal for authentication and traceability, a time-varying key sharing scheme based on blockchain is proposed. The experimental section analyzes the communication performance and security of the proposed scheme, showing that our scheme does not significantly degrade the original network performance while providing substantial security gains. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, we investigate how using an empirical method you can get the optimal set of data parameters supplied to the input of a convolutional neural network. Parameters are a set of input channels and texture size. As a result of the work appropriate with conducted experimetns consisting in training a neural network with various input parameters, their optimal values were determined. In this paper, it is shown that with a small size of the neural network architecture, the empirical method can achieve the desired result. © 2022 IEEE.

High power continuous-wave ytterbium-doped fiber lasers have unique advantages such as high electro-optical efficiency, excellent beam quality and good thermal management, and are widely used in industrial materials processing and scientific research. However, multi-kW (\geqslant 10kW) high-power fiber lasers has encountered numerous technology challenges in double-cladding fibers. In this work, we designed and fabricated a triple-cladding ytterbium doped fiber with large core diameter by using Modified Chemical Vapor deposition (MCVd) combined with all-gas-phase doping method. An excellent laser performance could be demonstrated for such a fiber with an output power of more than 10 kW and a slope efficiency of 82%, no Transverse Mode instability (TMI) is observed. Long-term laser stability at 12 kW-level was carried out in a master oscillator power amplifier (MOPA) laser system for 500 hours with power degradation less than 1%, meanwhile a stimulated raman scattering (SrS) suppression ratio that is larger than 45dB was obtained. © 2023 IEEE.

As a variable-condition adjustment technology,the adjustable vaned diffusers(AVds)can expand the working flow range of the compressor in the compressed air energy storage(CAES)system and improve its aerodynamic *** order to investigate the regulatory mechanism of AVds and capture the details of vane loading distribution for the diffuser design optimization,additively manufactured AVds for testing in a centrifugal compressor closed test facility are designed and ***,the regulation law of AVds was summarized by numerical analysis and experimental support,and the corresponding vane loading data was extracted for the distribution ***,based on the distribution characteristics,3d diffuser models were designed suitably for the adjustable ***,the laser selective melting(SLM)technology and die steel material 1.2709 were selected for metal printing according to the actual operating ***,performance testing and accuracy detection were performed on the finished test pieces,almost all inlet hole’s deviations were within the 0.3 mm *** research results indicated that additive manufacturing can significantly improve the accessibility of the internal flow channels of the diffuser,and derive the load of the blade on the pressure surface and suction surface in detail,also provide adjustable functions for variable operating *** can not only break through the traditional processing bottleneck of the complicated internal flow channels of AVds but also improve the design matching degree with adjustable components;simultaneously,it ensures high performance with high precision and effectively shortens the long lead time.

Conventional automatic subtitle generation systems based on speech recognition do not consider paralinguistic information such as emotions included in speech. In this paper, we propose a method to generate subtitles that visualize the speaker's emotions through the fonts and colors that are used in the subtitles. The proposed method uses a GAN-based image transformation model conditioned by the score of each emotion category to generate fonts that can represent complex emotions that are a mixture of multiple emotions. For colorizing the generated font images, we consider the emotion in the two-dimensional space of valence and activation based on the russell's circumplex model and define a color map in the emotion space based on Plutchik's wheel of emotions. We confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed method by conducting subjective evaluation experiments on the emotions felt from the generated colored font images.

The cognitive radio (Cr) system optimizes spectrum usage and enhances transmission efficiency by automatically adjusting parameters to adapt to changing environments. Antennas in cognitive radio systems are crucial because they must be reconfigurable to operate across different frequency bands, optimizing spectrum usage and improving transmission performance. This paper proposes a dual antenna for cognitive radio systems, consisting of a UWB (Ultra-Wideband) antenna and a frequency-reconfigurable narrowband antenna. The UWB antenna is designed to cover an ultra-wideband range from 2.14 to 14.9 GHz for spectrum sensing, and the frequency-reconfigurable narrowband antenna is designed for communication. A set of 6 PIN diodes is used to change the electrical length, allowing the antenna to switch frequencies among 2.42, 4.95, 5.13, 5.21, 5.38, 5.5, 5.7, and 5.95 GHz, corresponding to the frequency bands of WiFi, WiMAX, and WLAN. Its compact size of 30×70×1.6 mm3 makes it easy and convenient to install in terminal devices.

Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities continue to pose a formidable challenge in the realm of web application security due to their prevalence. despite the development of various defense mechanisms, including input validation techniques and code differentiation strategies, these solutions have struggled to achieve broad adoption in real-world environments due to persistent issues such as unreliable detection, high computational overhead, scalability limitations, and compatibility concerns. This paper introduces a novel managed proxy-based framework for XSS defense, positioned strategically between the web browser and the web server. This framework employs a tag-based XSS protection mechanism alongside a defense-in-depth strategy, providing robust protection not only against XSS attacks but also against other web threats. Furthermore, the framework integrates advanced web front-end hardening techniques to significantly complicate the exploitation of potential vulnerabilities. Comprehensive practical evaluations indicate that the proposed framework is both flexible and effective, demonstrating outstanding performance across multiple dimensions. © 2024 IEEE.
