In order to improve the efficiency of metal-induced lateral crystallization (MILC) using Ni, it is important to understand the fundamental mechanisms. In this study, the NiSi 2 /amorphous Si (a-Si) interface is appropriately modeled and the atom transfer behavior during the MILC process was explored by first-principles calculations. It is found that the overall picture of MILC mechanism can be effectively comprehended through three fundamental processes: (1) the formation of Ni vacancies at the a-Si interface, (2) the diffusion of Ni vacancies within the bulk NiSi2, and (3) the reconstruction of the c-Si interface. The trends under stress, observed in experiments, are explained by applying this mechanism to the MILC process.

In this study, a hybrid COPrAS-MOGWO (Complex Proportional Assessment-Multi-Objective Grey Wolf Optimizer) optimization approach is proposed for optimizing biodiesel production. The performance of the MOGWO is compared with Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II (NSGA-II). Optimization of biodiesel production from waste frying soybean oil through transesterification is considered as the case study to test the proposed algorithm. The research aims to minimize energy consumption and maximize reaction conversion and green chemistry balance simultaneously. results indicate that MOGWO outperforms NSGA-II in terms of computational time and solution quality. Furthermore, the same best compromise solution (BCS) is identified by COPrAS across different weight-based scenarios. By comparing the relative performance of NSGA-II and MOGWO, this study contributes valuable insights into multi-objective optimization in biodiesel production and provides guidance for researchers and practitioners in selecting appropriate optimization algorithms to improve the efficiency and sustainability of biodiesel production processes. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Computers and enterprises have proliferated to the point that most financial transactions may now be conducted through electronic commerce systems. This includes systems for credit, telephones, healthcare insurance, etc. The truth is that these solutions are used by both law-abiding citizens and criminals. Con artists also tried a variety of techniques to break into the e-commerce platforms. To provide adequate security for the e-commerce platforms, fraud prevention systems (FPSs) disappoint. Preprocessing, feature selection, and training the model are the three stages that make up the suggested method. Preprocessing includes discretization and min max normalization. discretization is used to shorten attribute intervals and normalization is used to divide attribute values. Improving the efficacy of machine learning (ML) models in the intrusion detection system domain by GA-based feature selection. When training the model, a BiGrU-A-CapsNet was utilized. The suggested method outperforms BiGrU and CapsN et with an average accuracy of 95.44 percent. © 2024 IEEE.

Moisture sensitivity poses a challenge in formulating oral dosage forms, particularly when considering disintegrants’ swelling due to prior moisture exposure, impacting performance and physical stability. This study utilises dynamic vapour sorption to simulate real-world storage scenarios, investigating the equilibrium moisture content and dynamics of eight commonly used excipients in oral solid dosage forms. A model was developed to determine the kinetic rate constant of moisture sorption and desorption for different storage conditions. dynamic vapour sorption tests revealed that excipients with higher moisture-binding capacities showed slower equilibration to the target relative humidity (rH). Elevated temperatures accelerated the moisture sorption/desorption process for all excipients, reducing the equilibrated moisture content for most, except mannitol and lactose. Particle imaging over a 14-day accelerated storage period quantified swelling, indicating approximately 6% increase in particle diameter for croscarmellose sodium (CCS) and sodium starch glycolate (SSG), and a lesser 2.7% for microcrystalline cellulose (MCC), predominantly caused by the humidity. All excipients reached their swelling peak within the first day of storage, with permanent particle size enlargement for CCS and SSG, whereas MCC displayed a partial reversibility post-storage. Enhancing our understanding of excipients’ stability and interaction with moisture and the resulting particle swelling contributes to the rational design of oral solid dosage formulations and promotes a better understanding of their long-term physical stability.

The cryptomelane-type manganese oxide (OMS-2)-supported Co (x Co/OMS-2;x=5,10,and15 wt.%) catalysts were prepared via a pre-incorporation *** as-prepared materials were used as catalysts for catalytic oxidation of toluene (2000 ppmV).Physical and chemical properties of the catalysts were measured using the X-ray diffraction (Xrd),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopic (FT-Ir),scanning electron microscopic (SEM),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS),and hydrogen temperature-programmed reduction (H_(2)-TPr)*** all of the catalysts,10Co/OMS-2 performed the best,with the T90%,specific reaction rate at 245℃,and turnover frequency at 245℃ (TOFCo) being 245℃,1.23×10^(-3)moltoluene/(gcat·sec),and 11.58×10^(-3)sec-1for toluene oxidation at a space velocity of 60,000mL/(g·hr),*** excellent catalytic performance of 10Co/OMS-2 were due to more oxygen vacancies,enhanced redox ability and oxygen mobility,and strong synergistic effect between Co species and OMS-2 ***,in the presence of poisoning gases CO_(2),SO_(2)or NH_(3),the activity of 10Co/OMS-2 decreased for the carbonate,sulfate and ammonia species covered the active sites and oxygen vacancies,*** the activation treatment,the catalytic activity was partly *** good low-temperature reducibility of 10Co/OMS-2 could also facilitate the redox process accompanied by the consecutive electron transfer between the adsorbed O_(2)and the cobalt or manganese *** the oxidation process of toluene,the benzoic and aldehydic intermediates werefirst generated,which were further oxidized to the benzoate intermediate that were eventually converted into H_(2)O and CO_(2).

This study investigates the experimental analysis of shaft voltage, focusing on the variables of the inverter and motor in electric vehicles (EVs), applying ceramic bearings. The aim of the study is to analyze the tendencies of shaft voltage in the inverter-fed EV traction motor using experimental methods. The variables for trend analysis include the switching frequency of pulse width modulation (PWM), the oil temperature, and the usage of shaft ground ring (SGr) as variables. Moreover, the variables cover the rotational speed and the torque as load conditions. In order to investigate the stochastic shaft voltage data rigorously, the post-process method using the probability density function is proposed. Using the proposed method, the trends of shaft voltage are analyzed according to the variables above in terms of the mean value and the probability over certain value. The results are figured out that the switching frequency of PWM and the oil temperature influence the shaft voltage, while the rotational speed has little effect on the shaft voltage. Under the load condition, it is shown that the torque, proportional to the current, rather than the rotational speed affects the shaft voltage. The effect of SGr will be handled as a future work with test results of prototype applying SGr.

In this paper, a novel hybrid multi-criteria decision-making (MCdM) methodology called the CrITIC-MABAC approach is introduced. It is applied in optimization of laser drilling of kenaf/high-density polyethylene (HdPE) composites. The objective is to simultaneously minimize the kerf taper angle (φ ) and surface roughness (ra ) by optimizing the two process parameters (namely laser power and cutting speed). To establish the efficacy of the CrITIC-MABAC, its results are compared with Entropy-MABAC approach. The optimal parametric combination is found to be at a laser power of 120W and cutting speed of 4 mm/s. Thus, the proposed CrITIC-MABAC method demonstrates its effectiveness and can be used as a means to achieve superior hole quality. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

The system delves into the important topic of agricultural market pricing, with a specific emphasis on the ever-changing realm of vegetable supply and prices. Stabilizing the supply and prices of vegetables becomes an enormous task when consider that the system are grown outdoors and that weather variables significantly impact harvests. Such unpredictability has far-reaching consequences for the country's economy, highlighting the critical need to develop efficient methods of precise forecasting. The government has made multiple attempts to stabilize vegetable prices and supplies, but these have all been unsuccessful due to the unpredictable weather patterns of late. This system uses state-of-the-art deep learning methods, notably the Hybrid CLA-Conv BiGrU model, which incorporates a novel preprocessing strategy based on the HP Filter, to conquer this obstacle. A strong prediction model for vegetable prices is constructed using the process, which includes feature extraction, scoring, and selection. © 2024 IEEE.

Utilizing the CAd system, which aids radiologists in various diagnostic procedures, a recent study has been conducted on the early identification of breast cancer. Next to lung cancer, breast cancer ranks among the most deadly diseases. Initially, detection is done based on screening tests done through Magnetic resonance imaging (MrI), subsequently Infrared thermography, and digital mammography (dM). Whenever a suspicion is raised, these tests might be recommended by the specialist. region-based segmentation is used for the test picture in this work, while NSCTS (Non-subsample Contourlet transform segmentation) is used for preprocessing. resNet-164 dCNN architecture performs feature extraction and classification between normal and aberrant tumor pictures. The diagnosis system adopts the deep learning technology to increase its performance rate. The approach to prediction starts with screening test photos, then preprocessing to enhance the image quality, rOI detection, rOI segmentation, and classification. The resulting images are examined using a variety of evaluation measures, including performance rate, sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy. When compared to other recent work, the outcome is exceptional. The obtained accuracy, sensitivity of the proposed system is 98.58% and 98.78%. The application takes advantage of the MIAS mammography image dataset. © 2023 IEEE.
