The regeneration of articular cartilage remains a great challenge due to the difficulty in effectively enhancing spontaneous ***,the combination of implanted stem cells,suitable biomaterials and bioactive molecules has attracted attention for tissue *** this study,a novel injectable nanocomposite was rationally designed as a sustained release platform for enhanced cartilage regeneration through integration of a chitosan-based hydrogel,articular cartilage stem cells(ACSCs)and mesoporous SiO_(2)nanoparticles loaded with anhydroicaritin(AHI).The biocompatible engineered nanocomposite acting as a novel 3d biomimetic extracellular matrix exhibited a remarkable sustained release effect due to the synergistic regulation of the organic hydrogel framework and mesopore channels of inorganic mSiO_(2)nanoparticles(mSiO_(2)NPs).Histological assessment and biomechanical tests showed that the nanocomposites exhibited superior performance in inducing ACSCs proliferation and differentiation in vitro and promoting extracellular matrix(ECM)production and cartilage regeneration in *** a novel multifunctional biocompatible platform was demonstrated to significantly enhance cartilage regeneration based on the sustained release of AHI,an efficient bioactive natural small molecule for ACSCs chondrogenesis,within the hybrid matrix of hydrogel and mSiO_(2)***,the injectable nanocomposite holds great promise for use as a 3d biomimetic extracellular matrix for tissue regeneration in clinical diagnostics.

The Toxic Effects of Exposure to Fibrous and Fragmented Microplastic in Juvenile rockfish Based on Two Omics Approach

Although the hazards of environmental microplastics (MPs) are well known, it is unclear which of their characteristics have the greatest effects on marine. We investigated the toxic effects of oral administration according to physical properties, including the shape of fragmented polyethylene terephthalate (PET) (FrPET) and fibrous PET (FiPET). After 72 h of exposure, apoptosis and phagocytic activity varied significantly among juvenile rockfish (Sebastes schlegeli) exposed to both FrPET and FiPET. The levels of immune-related genes and hepatic metabolic activity also increased after exposure to both shapes of MPs, but the variation in responses was greater in fish exposed to FiPET compared with those exposed to FrPET. The transcriptomic and metabolomics analysis results indicated that the maintenance and homeostasis of immune systems was affected by oral exposure to FrPET and FiPET. The amino acid metabolic processes were identified in rockfish exposed to FrPET, but the notch signaling pathway were evident in the FiPET exposure group. Metabolomics analysis revealed that oral ingestion of MP fibers led to a stronger inflammatory response and greater oxidative stress in juvenile rockfish. These results can be used to understand environmentally dominant MP toxic effects such as type, size, shapes, as well as to prioritize ecotoxicological management. © 2024, The Authors. The gudgeon pin is one of the engine's most stressed components. Gudgeon pins are used in automotive engines to link the piston and connecting rod. Stress concentration is a critical concern in the design of mechanical components, as it can lead to premature fatigue failure and, consequently, catastrophic consequences. To mitigate this risk, engineers continually seek ways to optimize the design of components like the gudgeon pin, and one avenue of exploration is the judicious choice of materials. This study looks at the detailed design and analysis of existing gudgeon pins in order to detect the pin's stress concentration and then minimize it by making necessary changes to the pin's design and mounting. The current work involved constructing a gudgeon pin and then using finite element analysis (FEA) software to examine and minimize stresses on the pin. This comprehensive study delves into the intricate world of gudgeon pin design and analysis, with a specific emphasis on minimizing stress concentration by selecting different materials through FEA. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Herein, we present a facile method to fabricate transparent, flexible, and high-performance thin-film heaters (TTFHs) based on nanostructured micromesh (NSMM) Cu–Ag/indium tin oxide bilayer transparent thin-film electrodes (TTFEs) with both nano- and microstructures. Our approach combines Ar-assisted thermal evaporation and pulsed laser ablation techniques to fabricate NSMM TTFEs with a low sheet resistance (~2.1 Ω/sq) and high optical transmittance (~80.1%). By adjusting the spacing of the microholes, we were able to achieve excellent figure of merit values (~51.8 × 10−3 Ω−1) for the NSMM TTFEs. These electrodes also showed excellent durability and flexibility, as evidenced by a resistance change of only 4%–18% in cyclic bending tests with up to 200,000 cycles. Finally, we demonstrate that the NSMM TTFEs can be used as high-performance TTFHs with short response times (3.97 s at a steady temperature of 87.5 °C under low-voltage operation (5 V)) and infrared shielding properties. Our results suggest that Cu–Ag-alloy-based NSMM TTFEs are promising transparent electrodes for various applications in flexible electronics, smart windows, and wearable devices. © 2023, The Authors. In this paper, dispersion decreased profiled tapered fiber is designed whose dispersion characteristics and soliton propagation is investigated numerically using darboux transformation. A sort of brain illness that affects the brain is Alzheimer's. Nowadays, older adults are more likely to have these ailments. People who have this illness have very poor memories and decreased memory. Additionally, their brain isn't working correctly. As a result, their regular practice is progressively beginning to decline. Alzheimer's is a kind of dementia for which there is no definitive treatment. This essay will help us learn more about Alzheimer's illness. We shall learn more about its causes, symptoms, and remedies. Additionally, we investigate several illness prediction methods employing Graph Neural Networks denoted as GNNs. decision Tree, random Forest algorithms, and more. However, the random forest classifier gave good results with 86% accuracy and good recall values.

In this study, intermittent creepCreep tests and Electron Backscatter diffraction (EBSd) analyses were conducted on GH4169GH4169 (IN718) at 800 °C to elucidate the change mechanism of its micro texture and the degradation mechanism of the strength of grain boundariesGrain boundary under mechanical loading at elevated temperature. Under creepCreep loading, the growth of δ-phase (Ni3Nb) precipitatesPrecipitates was found to be accelerated around grain boundariesGrain boundary. This growth of δ-phase precipitatesΔ-phase Precipitate caused the disappearance of the solute strengthened phase in the surrounding grains and, thus, the effective strength of grains decreased. Even though the precipitationPrecipitation around grain boundariesGrain boundary increased their effective strength at first, however, it started to decrease with time due to the acceleration of the growth and accumulation of vacancies and dislocations around the interface between the precipitatesPrecipitates and the matrix. This acceleration was attributed to the large lattice mismatch between the precipitatePrecipitates and the matrix, and the structural singularity around the edges of the needle-shape precipitatesPrecipitates. Finally, intergranular crackingIntergranular cracking was accelerated. The degradation of the strength of the material was validated by using a micro tensile test using a scanning electron microscope. The acceleration process was successfully explained by the concept of the stress-induced acceleration of diffusionStress-induced Acceleration of diffusion, by applying the modified Arrhenius equation. Smart grids, which integrate modern Internet of Things (IoT) technology and renewable energy sources to boost efficiency, sustainability, and dependability, are poised to bring about a dramatic shift in the future of energy distribution. Intelligent grids are expected to bring about this shift. Focusing on the role of the Internet of Things (IoT) in enabling real-time monitoring and control, as well as the incorporation of renewable energy to support a low-carbon future, this research investigates the potential for smart grids to change the energy sector. This study gives insights into how smart grids can be efficiently deployed to satisfy the growing energy needs of society by studying the technological breakthroughs, obstacles, and benefits of smart grids. Specifically, the study's focus is on smart grids. The research highlights the essential role that smart grids play in aiding the shift towards a more sustainable and resilient energy infrastructure by conducting an in-depth analysis of case studies, pilot projects, and industry trends all around the world. Providing recommendations for policymakers, industry stakeholders, and utilities to exploit the full potential of smart grids in determining the future of energy distribution, the findings contribute to the continuing discourse on the strategic development and implementation of smart grid technologies. In an era where digital connectivity is ubiquitous, the imperative to safeguard cyberspace has never been more pressing. This research delves into the multifaceted landscape of cybersecurity, examining the strategies employed by governments, businesses, and individuals to protect sensitive information and critical infrastructure from cyber threats. By leveraging a mixed-methods approach, which includes a review of existing literature, case studies, and expert interviews, the research provides a nuanced understanding of the cybersecurity ecosystem. Key findings reveal that while technological advancements have bolstered defense mechanisms, including sophisticated malware, advanced persistent threats (APTs), and insider threats, continues to outpace traditional security measures. Moreover, the study underscores the critical role of human factors, such as user error and inadequate training, as significant vulnerabilities. The research concludes with a set of recommendations aimed at enhancing cybersecurity posture, including the adoption of a proactive, adaptive defense strategy, increased investment in cybersecurity education and awareness, and the fostering of international cooperation to combat transnational cybercrime. The insights gleaned from this analysis are intended to inform policymakers, industry leaders, and cybersecurity professionals, equipping them with the knowledge to fortify the digital frontier against evolving threats. © 2025 IEEE.
