This paper presents a new single image dehazing algorithm using dark channels with global transmission. The existing algorithms using dark channels cannot deal well with the scene in which objects are inherently similar to the atmospheric light and no shadow is cast on them. In order to eliminate the limitation, we use the positive depth of field prior and the global dynamic template instead of local patch to estimate the transmission map. To solve the problem caused by the hanging objects, the hanging region is calculated to amend the transmission map. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm performs well in the image with large white area and hanging region.

This paper proposes a region growing based video flame detection algorithm. Firstly, it estimates class-conditional probability density of flame and background with hand-labeled samples, and five discrimination models are proposed using maximum a-posteriori theory. Secondly, it proposes fourrules for flame detection with difference of rGB channels, andrOC analysis is used to estimate rule parameters. Finally, it combines the detection results of these models andrules to detect the candidate flame regions. region growing uses the high belief region as seed points, and some middle belief regions are classified as flame region if they are adjacent to high belief region, while otherregions are classified as backgroundregions. Experiments show that this method can achieve desired flame region in various scenes with high true positive rate and low false detection rate.

The HIGHT algorithm is a 64-bit block cipher with 128-bit key length, at CHES'06 as a lightweight cryptographic algorithm. In this paper, a new related-key impossible differential attack on the full-round algorithm is introduced. Our cryptanalysis requires time complexity of 2 127.276 HIGHT evaluations which is slightly faster than exhaustive search attack. This is the first related-key impossible differential cryptanalysis on the full-round HIGHT block cipher.

In this paper, laser micro-patterning software developed for manufacturing of printing rolls for printed electronics is presented. The software consists of a servo control module, an image processing module, a configuration module, and a laser patterning module. By the software, laser beam's position and irradiation are controlled according to drawing patterns while the pattern roll is rotating. In this operation, control performance is important to determine the quality of the pattern roll and manufactured electronics after printing. The software is developed based on the accurate control algorithm and optimization of laser operation over the whole image for computation time and high-speed patterning. Additionally, overlapping image patterning is considered for the uniformity of the engraving depth and patterning quality.

Inkjet technology was used in a mass production process to form an alignment layer on high-temperature polysilicon TFT liquid crystal panels used in LCd projectors. This is the first-ever inkjet process for forming alignment layers in an LCd manufacturing process. Surface treatment, inkjet ejection, and post-print drying processes were integrated, and process conditions and printing materials were optimized, thereby sharply improving display quality while reducing process environmental impact.
