Trajectory time series classification algorithm based on conv-olutional self-attention mechanism

As a kind of time series data in the field of transportation, trajectory has complex multi-dimensional information. How to fully excavate the multi-dimensional information of the trajectory and analyse its complex dynamic pattern is an important problem to be solved in the classification of trajectory time series. In response to the above problems, this paper improves the existing self-attention mechanism, and proposes a trajectory time series classification algorithm based on convolutional self-attention mechanism. According to the characteristics of the trajectory data, the convolutional self-attention mechanism first extracts the characteristics of the trajectory fragments in the trajectory to obtain the flight status characteristics, and then performs the self-attention operation on these characteristics, so as to achieve a better feature extraction effect. The experimental results show that the trajectory time series classification algorithm based on the convolutional self-attention mechanism has better feature extraction ability and classification accuracy than other existing algorithms.

Aiming at the problems of low detection rate and high false alarm rate in radar target detection under low signal-to-noise ratio environment, a radar target detection method based on improved YOLOv3 is proposed. Considering the characteristics of small scale and few features of radar targets, the original YOLOv3 backbone network is pruned and nonlinear features are added, and the darknet13 network structure is proposed. The multiple outputs of the darknet13 network are fused in two scale, deep fusion is used to detect large-scale targets, and shallow fusion is used to detect small-scale targets. In order to solve the problem of imbalance between positive and negative samples of radar data, the focus loss function is used to strengthen the attention to the hard to distinguish samples. Meanwhile, warm up technology is used to optimize the learning rate adjustment strategy to improve the target detection performance and network training speed. The experimental results show that compared with the original YOLOv3 algorithm, the proposed method can improve the average detection rate by 8.4% and reduce the average false alarm rate by 79.8% when the signal-to-noise ratio is 10 dB.

Mumps is an acute respiratory infectious disease that occasionally experiences outbreaks even in countries with high vaccination rates. This indicates potential antigenic differences between currently available vaccine strains and circulating wild-type viruses. Therefore, it is crucial to evaluate the vaccine's protective efficacy against the epidemic strain. In this study, we injected IFN-α/βr −/− mice with genotype F or G wild-type strains via the tail vein. The mumps virus rapidly replicated and maintained high levels in the blood. Furthermore, prior immunization of IFN-α/βr −/− mice with vaccine strain significantly inhibited viral replication in vivo. Consequently, we have optimized a valuable model for assessing the effectiveness of MuV vaccines.

Historical documents provide evidence for regional droughts preceding the political turmoil and fall of Beijing in 1644 CE,when more than 20 million people died in northern China during the late Ming famine ***,the role climate and environmental changes may have played in this pivotal event in Chinese history remains ***,we provide tree-ring evidence of persistent megadroughts from1576 to 1593 CE and from 1628 to 1644 CE in northern China,which coincided with exceptionally cold summers just before the fall of *** analysis reveals that these regional hydroclimatic extremes are part of a series of megadroughts along the Pacific rim,which not only impacted the ecology and society of monsoonal northern China,but likely also exacerbated external geopolitical and economic *** finding is corroborated by last millennium reanalysis data and numerical climate model simulations revealing internally driven Pacific sea surface temperature variations and the predominance of decadal scale La Ni?a-like conditions to be responsible for precipitation decreases over northern China,as well as extensive monsoon regions in the *** teleconnection patterns provide a mechanistic explanation for reoccurring drought spells during the late Ming dynasty and the environmental framework fostering the fall of Beijing in 1644 CE,and the subsequent demise of the Ming dynasty.

FLBench: A Benchmark suite for federated learning

Federated learning is a new machine learning paradigm. The goal is to build a machine learning model from the data sets distributed on multiple devices-so-called an isolated data island-while keeping their data secure and private. Most existing federated learning benchmarks work manually splits commonly-used public datasets into partitions to simulate real-world isolated data island scenarios. Still, this simulation fails to capture real-world isolated data island's intrinsic characteristics. This paper presents a federated learning (FL) benchmark suite named FLBench. FLBench contains three domains: medical, financial, and AIoT. By configuring various domains, FLBench is qualified to evaluate federated learning systems and algorithms' essential aspects, like communication, scenario transformation, privacy-preserving, data distribution heterogeneity, and cooperation strategy. Hence, it becomes a promising platform for developing novel federated learning algorithms. Currently, FLBench is open-sourced and in fast-evolution. We package it as an automated deployment tool. A database was developed from 97 articles and was used to examine the effect of inoculant rate of obligate homofermentative and facultative heterofermentative lactic acid bacteria (OF-LAB) and obligate heterofermentative LAB (O-LAB) on silage quality using meta-analysis. This study also compared LAB inoculant groups with or without fibrolytic enzyme on the quality of legumes and forages based-silage. results from regression equations showed that elevating levels of OF-LAB linearly reduced pH and increased lactic acid (LA) during ensiling but had no effect on aerobic stability. Conversely, O-LAB linearly increased aerobic stability. Compared to control group, LAB containing fibrolytic enzymes decreased pH by 12.15% and increased LA and neutral detergent fibre (NdF) by 58.94% and 12.23% respectively which is the highest than other inoculant groups. In conclusion, although all types of inoculants are effective to improve silage quality, response of plant materials to inoculants containing fibrolytic enzymes varied. © 2021 Elsevier Ltd

despite the general agreement about the benefits that electrification brings to well-being, few studies have concentrated on the actual efiects of electrification on the diverse non-economic dimensions of quality of life (QoL). In a multi-disciplinary and cross-institutional efiort, a group of natural and social scientists have studied three electrification schemes (grid extension, centralised hybrid, and solar home systems) in four rural villages in Malaysia, Cambodia, and Myanmar. Using a novel approach with scales on several QoL measures (self-reported QoL and five QoL sub-domains;psychological, physical, social, and economic well-being;occupations;and total active time), this article presents an analysis of the efiects of rural electrification on human well-being. With original data surveyed in the villages through a baseline prior to electrification and an endpoint several months after, the efiects were examined through suitable statistical methods. Overall, we confirmed a positive efiect of electrification in self-reported QoL levels as well as psychological, physical, and social well-being. There was, however, a certain reduction recorded in economic well-being. In the sub-domains of QoL, there were no changes after electrification in satisfaction levels concerning time use, time spent alone, housing, and personal safety, but a positive efiect on satisfaction levels was observed in cooking. Finally, in terms of occupation, we observed no changes in the total hours dedicated to work and no prolonged active time on usual activities in the household. The findings provide support to the hypothesis of a positive efiect on general QoL from electrification, but also suggest more precisely that, for specific QoL sub-domains, the efiect might not necessarily exist, or in fact, may be negative. The article concludes by discussing difierences determined by cultural aspects and technological limitations in each of the systems under study. © 2020 MdPI AG. All rights reser

Super-resolution (Sr) is a fundamental computer vision task that aims to obtain a high-resolution clean image from the given low-resolution counterpart. This paper reviews the NTIrE 2021 Challenge on Video Super-resolution. We present evaluation results from two competition tracks as well as the proposed solutions. Track 1 aims to develop conventional video Sr methods focusing on the restoration quality. Track 2 assumes a more challenging environment with lower frame rates, casting spatio-temporal Sr problem. In each competition, 247 and 223 participants have registered, respectively. during the final testing phase, 14 teams competed in each track to achieve state-of-the-art performance on video Sr tasks. © 2021, CC BY-NC-Nd.

In order to promote the study of system dynamics (Sd) and multi-agent theory and its wide application in the field of renewable energy, a hybrid modeling method of Sd and Agent is proposed in this paper, which is suitable for the multi-energy collaborative management and control of regional cooling, heating and power under the background of the ubiquitous Internet of Things. Based on the detailed analysis of the lack of single modeling paradigm of system dynamics and the necessity and feasibility of mixed modeling of Sd and Agent, the basic types of hybrid modeling of Sd and Agent for regional multi-energy cooperative management and control are defined, and the application forms, simulation platforms, problems and ideas of hybrid modeling of Sd and Agent in regional multi-energy cooperative management are discussed and analyzed, which can deepen the innovative application of Sd and Agent hybrid modeling in multiple fields and assist relevant managers in scientific decision-making.

Lignocellulosic biomass is one of the most promising carbon-containing sources, which has vast potential in various fields. Lignin, as the second-highest constituent in lignocellulosic biomass after cellulose, is an underutilized source due to lesser knowledge on its full potential other than using it as a fuel source. The applications of lignin can be further enhanced when the size of lignin is reduced to nanoscale where the surface area and the properties of lignin are improved. Herein, we reviewed the nanoscale lignin, or lignin nanoparticles (LNP) prepared via facile methods, which can lead to the controllable synthesis of LNP at reduced reaction time and chemical consumption. Furthermore, its applications as nanoreinforcer that can enhance the antibacterial, antiradical, UV protectant, emulsion stabilization and catalysis reaction properties of various nanomaterials were discussed. Additionally, the new potential area on the application of catalysis has been highlighted. This review may inspire future research on LNP dedicated to the highlighted research areas. © 2020 Elsevier B.V.
