Burned skeletal remains often undermine the anthropological methodology's reliability due to heat-induced changes (HIC). research based on controlled experimental burnings has tried to address this problem, but may not replicate real scenarios as it employs homogeneous heating provided by electrical furnace. In contrast, real fire situations are often more heterogeneous with intermittent heating caused by the constant on and off action of the flames. The objective of this research was to assess ihe value of spectroscopic analyses on dry skeletal remains depends on the type of burning event: i) electric furnace (homogeneous) and ii) open-air ignited trailer (heterogeneous). The association between organic phase pyrolysis and temperature and between the inorganic phase and individual chemometric indices was investigated in order to examine for differences. A sample of 70 right antimere belonging to the 21st Century Identified Skeletal Collection (CEI/XXI) and of a sample of 30 antimeres from the Non-Identified Skeletal Collection (NISC) from the Santarem Cemetery housed at the Laboratory of Forensic Science in the University of Coimbra, Portugal were used in this study. Both skeletal collections were burned with temperatures ranging from 500 °C to 1050 °C. The methods used to analyze the samples are vibrational spectroscopy and inelastic neutron scattering spectroscopy. It was possible to observe through spectroscopic analyses that in the organic phase, a relation between the concentration of the chemical elements and maximum temperature was present in both samples. The same was observed for the inorganic phase and the chemometric indices. results of this small experiment suggest that maximum temperature estimation and the individualization of commingled burned skeletal remains based on heat-induced recrystalization and diagenesis are possible in varied burning conditions. In the field of the manufacturing industry, it has been often discussed that high-mix low-volume manufacturing is required to meet a variety of customer needs. In such a situation, cellular manufacturing and U shaped production lines are often adopted. Linear synchronous motors (LSMs) are appropriate to realize U shaped automation lines because of its strong features such as flexibility of layout, high efficiency and position control performance. However, a problem seems to lie in the fact that LSMs need a position sensor which is expensive and has less durability. For this reason, the position sensorless control for LSMs is required. In addition, the method should be easy to apply to all kinds of LSMs. Specifically, the method should require no saliency and be apply to a LSM which has a complex track including curvilinear section. Based on such a background, this paper presents a position estimation method for a Linear and Curvilinear Synchronous Motor with an accelerometer which is inexpensive and easy to attach to LSMs. As the proposed method in this paper does not require any motor saliency, it can be quickly applied to all LSMs. In this paper, the proposed method is shown and verified by experimental results.

during the cementation of deep wells, contamination at the contact surface between cement slurry and drilling fluid will present a technical challenge, which may threaten operation safety. To deal with the problem, lab tests and analysis were performed specifically on the compatibility of fluids during cementation in Sichuan and Chongqing gas fields. Impacts of commonly used additives for drilling fluids were determined on fluidity and thickening time of conventional cement slurry. Through the infrared spectrum analysis, SEM and Xrd, infrared spectrum data of kalium polyacrylamide (KPAM) and bio-viscosifier were obtained, together with infrared spectrum, SEM and Xrd data of cement slurry with additives. Contamination mechanisms of the cement slurry by conventional additives for drilling fluid were reviewed. Test results show that both KPAM and bio-viscosifier are such high-molecular materials that the long chains in these materials may easily absorb cement particles in the slurry to form mixed network structures;as a result, cement particles were prone to agglomeration and eventually lost their pumpability. Finally, assessment of and testing methods for the contamination effects of drilling fluid additives on cement slurry were further improved to form standards and codes that may help solve the said problems. This study will provide technological supports for the preparation of drilling fluids with desirable properties prior to cementation, the selection of optimal drilling fluids additives, and the development of innovative drilling fluids additives. © 2015 Sichuan Petroleum Administration

Epilepsy is a highly heritable disorder affecting over 50 million people worldwide, of which about one-third are resistant to current treatments. Here we report a multi-ancestry genome-wide association study including 29,944 cases, stratified into three broad categories and seven subtypes of epilepsy, and 52,538 controls. We identify 26 genome-wide significant loci, 19 of which are specific to genetic generalized epilepsy (GGE). We implicate 29 likely causal genes underlying these 26 loci. SNP-based heritability analyses show that common variants explain between 39.6% and 90% of genetic risk for GGE and its subtypes. Subtype analysis revealed markedly different genetic architectures between focal and generalized epilepsies. Gene-set analyses of GGE signals implicate synaptic processes in both excitatory and inhibitory neurons in the brain. Prioritized candidate genes overlap with monogenic epilepsy genes and with targets of current antiseizure medications. Finally, we leverage our results to identify alternate drugs with predicted efficacy if repurposed for epilepsy treatment.

A synthetic aperture sonar gathers echoes from large area of seafloor per a ping, therefore the sonar needs wider width of the beam than Side scan sonar. But if the elements of the projector is just one element, it have to be small to widen the beam, and must be low sensitivity. One solutions to raise the sensitivity of the sonar is to use array as a receiver. The array is not only necessary for high sensitivity, but also the motion compensation and higher mapping rate in synthetic aperture process. Many synthetic aperture sonar are now constructed with a single transmitter with an arrayed receiver. But the projector remains small and single in many synthetic aperture sonars. The maximum detection range of synthetic aperture sonar was no longer than side scan sonar at same sonic frequency yet. To extend the sonar range, we proposed multi-channel projector whose elements lined vertically. We consider that the intensity of the projection beam increases keeping its width, by controlling a timing of the projection from each element. In addition, if the projector can receive echoes, 3d-maps can be generated simultaneously like a multi-beam echo sounder. This means synthesizing aperture process become more precise with the correct altitudes. In June 2014, we carried out survey with the synthetic aperture sonar totally for 40 hours over 5 days at offSanriku near border of Miyagi and Iwate prefecture. We evaluated the projector performance through detections of many artificial objects such as underwater reefs and sunken ship in the survey. We confirmed that projection beam was widen keeping projection power and maximum detection range was over 400 m in slant range. In addition, bottom detection process which is before step of 3d-mapping became easy.

Wireless communication is flexible and reliable connectivity for everywhere. Now a day's human follows the reliable and simple way to handle and control any technology. In this paper, we try to make life simple and easy to control the peripheral, where no matter which protocol user want for installation. i.e. Bluetooth, WI-Fi, Miwi etc. And also control the peripheral using Web service (http) or Android application as a way of IoT (Internet of things). Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications describes how the Internet will expand as sensors and intelligence are connected to physical things such as physical assets or consumer devices and these things in turn are connected to the Internet. In this project we analyse the data packet of different nodes in window as well as Linux terminal for detecting fault or error in any particular node. We are using low power (5V) host device instead of computer i.e. *** paper show actual way of implementation in the world of wireless sensor node. User can access and also control the peripheral anywhere from the world via Internet.

Effects of thermo-compression bonding parameter on Cu-pillar/Sn-Ag interconnection reliability of NCF-assembled Chip-on-board (COB) package were investigated. Parallelplate modeling of gap size during the thermo-compression bonding process was performed. By using the viscosity/time graph and the modeling, prediction of gap size was performed in both bare chip to chip and real chip to board. The actually NCF bonding of COB module was performed with different heating rate of 5°C/min, 10°C/min, and 20°C/min. The gap height decreased as the heating rate increased and the results well corresponded with the modeling. All the bonded samples showed stable daisy and contact resistance at as bonded state, however 5°C/min sample showed severe T/C failures due to high gap height and unstable wetting of solder on pad.

In this paper we simulate, detect, and locate wear in industrial robots operating over long time-periods on repetitive tasks. We simulate wear using the MATLAB robotics toolbox by increasing the Coulomb friction coefficient on select robot axes. disturbance and measurement noise are included in each axis while computing the inverse and forward kinematics. To compare change across all configurations within a repetitive cycle, the output torque data is transformed into a normalized distribution sampled once every hour. We identify wear as significant change in torque values from normal operating conditions, and detect wear using principal component analysis; the source axis is located by cross-correlating the output data from all axes through time. Simulation results with a range of friction values tested for three different tasks across all axes show that wear detection on the basis of comparison with normal operating condition depends on the manipulator task, whereby onset of wear was detected in five out of six axes for one task and two out of six axes in the rest. Wear location was correctly identified in all successful detections except one.

Traffic in the major cities of developing countries such as the Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh cities is chaotic because multiple transport modes such as cars, buses, motorbikes, and bicycles share the same road lanes together with narrow road infrastructure. In addition, traffic is poorly managed due to lack of efficient traffic-management system. These problems have accumulated with the increase in mobility demand because of rising urban population. The objectives of this study are to propose a solution to mitigate traffic-congestion problem, to provide better driving and commuting experience to commuters, and to assist in the implementation of efficient transportation-management system in the Hanoi city. This paper presents data-monitoring and analysis tools to enable smart mobility capability, adaptive traffic signaling that is the scheduling of traffic light timing based on road capacity and congestion indicator. We propose three congestion indicators: stop count, velocity, and travel-time variation, which represent the state of congestion at individual road segment.
