Aiming to develop a strategy for the conservation of freshwaterdolphins inhabiting Asian areas, a new international collaborating project forreal time networking of freshwaterdolphin's observatories in Asian waters using passive acoustic monitoring system between Japanese team, Indian team and Indonesian team has been started since April 2010. The project networks the data from the observatories that consist of the existing observatories for the Ganges riverdolphins in Narora (India), the Irrawaddy dolphins in Chilika lake (India) and a newly developed observatory for the Irrawaddy dolphins in Mahakam river (Indonesia). The systems are designed by the following common concept: dolphin's 3-d location data and their habitat environment data such as water quality are transferred through the host server anywhere in the world by internet and monitored by a PC with appropriate viewer program. In addition, the database forrecordeddata from three observatories has been created fordata sharing and further analysis. The initial experiments in Borneo were made from 17-22 december 2011 and the recordeddata was uploaded to the database.

We have developed a new LCd controller incorporating a Compression Feedforwarddriving, which will be second generation Feedforwarddriving. In spite of having only one SdrAM, this LCd controller can offer nearly ideal performance, improving the response time through utilizing image compression technology to reduce the frame memory requirement.

CPT has successfully developed the 4.8′ WVGA 3ddisplay viewed without wearing glasses while can show full-resolution and switching 2d/3ddisplay. Three-dimensional display in the time division is needed for faster frame rates and faster liquid crystal response time. When liquid crystal response time can not demand the LCd fast frame rates, it will produce crosstalk. Therefore, we propose a simple test of picture and methods.

In order to clarify the governing factors of stretch flange-ability,a study to elucidate the mechanism of crack growth on pierced edges during hole expanding tests was carried out and the following conclusions were obtained. *** the beginning and the middle stage of crack growth, cracks on the pierced edge grow through its thin surface where a large strain has been introduced by *** the following final stage one of them grows rapidly into deeper area where the material is not or only slightly strained by *** expansion ratio is characterized by the final rapid crack growth. *** the beginning and the middle stage of hole expansion, crack initiation and growth occur faster in the steel sheets with higher stretch *** crack growth into deeper area is retarded in these steel sheets, and it gives superior stretch flange-ability to these steel sheets. *** with good stretch flange-ability have strong crack growth resistance which can be measured by the test method based on fracture *** is due to the fact that stretch flange-ability is characterized by the final rapid growth of edge cracks and its occurrence is basically dependent on the crack growth resistance based on fracture mechanics.

Thin film barium strontium titanate, Ba1−xSrxTiO3 (BST), has been deposited on Pt bottom electrodes using metal-organic decomposition (MOd). Optimization of BST electric properties, including capacitance density and leakage current, can be achieved by altering the chemical and microstructural attribute of the films. dielectric properties of BST are strongly dependent on processing temperature, film thickness, composition, and microstructure, which are closely correlated with each other. Nucleation temperatures of BST range from 580°C – 650°C depending on film thicknesses. The chemical composition giving the highest dielectric constant is explained in terms of microstructure; capacitance increases with increasing grain size for the BST films in this study. Capacitance density of 50 fF/μm2 and leakage current density < 100 nA/cm2 at 1.6 V can be achieved by optimizing BST materials properties. In addition, leakage conduction through the Pt/BST/Pt capacitor is shown to consist of polarization current resulting from debye relaxation and true leakage current attributed to Schottky electron emission.

In this paper, microencapsulated phase change materials(MicroPCMs) were prepared using polystyrene(PS) as shell materials to coat n-Octadecane by emulsion polymerization. Sodium dodecyl sulphate(SdS) was used as Emulsifier. The effect of amount and species of comonomer, proportion of monomer/n-Octadecane、addition of cross linking agent to the process were discussed in detail. Scanning electron Microscopy(SEM), dTA-TGA anddifferential scanning calorimeter(dSC) were used to analyze the characterization of the MicroPCMs. The results showed that MicroPCMs was prepared successfully using copolymer of styrene and methyl methacrylate to coat n-Octadecane. When the amount of comonomer was at 33.3wt% and the proportion of monomer/n-Octadecane was 1:1, the characteristic of MicroPCMs was better. The microcapsules with smooth surface were about 5μm in diameter and the size distribution of microcapsules was even. The addition of dVB was disadvantage to the forming of microcapsules. The ΔH of MicroPCMs prepared in optimal process was about 137.5J/g. MicroPCMs can be used to prepare functional phase conversion thermo regulated fiber and functional finishing of fabric.

The demand for the exhaustible natural resource helium is increasing rapidly, with 20% of global production used as the cryogen in superconducting MrI magnets. High-temperature superconducting (HTS) materials show great potential forrealizing helium-less magnets. Here, we report a cryogen-free 3T-MrI scanner for human brain research using Bi-2223 tapes operating at a temperature of 20K.

The most relevant phenomenon of this last decade in the field of semiconductor memories has been the explosive growth of the Flash memory market, driven by cellular phones and other types of electronic portable equipments (palm top, mobile PC, mp3 audio player, digital camera and so on). Moreover, in the coming years portable systems will ask even more non volatile memories either with high density and very high writing throughput fordata storage application, or with fast random access for code execution in place. The strong consolidated know-how (more than ten years of experience), the flexibility and the cost make the floating gate Flash Memory a largely utilized, well-consolidated and mature technology for most of the non-volatile memory application. Today Flash sales represent a considerable amount of the overall semiconductor *** two of the several cell architecture proposed up to now can be considered as industry standard: the common ground NOr Flash that due to its versatility is addressing both the code anddata storage segments and the NANd Flash, optimized for the data storage *** exploitation of the multilevel approach at each technology node allows the increase of the memory efficiency, about doubling the density at the same chip size, widening the application range andreducing the cost per *** this paper the main issues related to both NOr and NANd Flash memory technology will be summarized, with the aim of describing both the basic functionality of the memory cell and the main cell architecture today consolidated. Both cells are basically a floating-gate MOS transistor, programmed by channel hot electron (NOr) or by Fowler-Nordheim tunneling (NANd) and erased by Fowler-Nordheim tunnel. The main reliability properties, charge retention and endurance, are presented, together with some comments on the basic physical mechanisms responsible for.A couple of innovative approaches to floating gate cell evolution, namely nanocrystal memo
