Mn-doped SrCoO_(3-δ) Perovskite Oxides for Ethylene Production via Chemical Looping Oxidative dehydrogenation of Ethane

Chemical looping oxidative dehydrogenation (CL-OdH) is an economically promising method for convertingethane into higher value-added ethylene utilizing lattice oxygen in redox catalysts, also known as oxygen carriers. Inthis study, perovskite-type oxide SrCoO_(3-δ) and B-site Mn ion-doped oxygen carriers (SrCo_(1-x)MnxO_(3-δ), x=0.1, 0.2, 0.3)were prepared and tested for the CL-OdH of ethane. The oxygen-deficient perovskite SrCoO_(3-δ) exhibited high ethyleneselectivity of up to 96.7% due to its unique oxygen vacancies and lattice oxygen migration rates. However, its low ethyleneyield limits its application in the CL-OdH of ethane. Mn doping promoted the reducibility of SrCoO_(3-δ) oxygen carriers,thereby improving ethane conversion and ethylene yield, as demonstrated by characterization and evaluation experiments.X-ray diffraction results confirmed the doping of Mn into the lattice of SrCoO_(3-δ), while X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) indicated an increase in lattice oxygen ratio upon incorporation of Mn into the SrCoO_(3-δ) lattice. Additionally, H2temperature-programmed reduction (H2-TPr) tests revealed more peaks at lower temperature reduction zones and a declinein peak positions at higher temperatures. Among the four tested oxygen carriers, SrCo0.8Mn0.2O_(3-δ) exhibited satisfactoryperformance with an ethylene yield of 50% at 710 °C and good stability over 20 redox cycles. The synergistic effect of Mnplays a key role in increasing ethylene yields of SrCoO_(3-δ) oxygen carriers. Accordingly, SrCo0.8Mn0.2O_(3-δ) shows promisingpotential for the efficient production of ethylene from ethane via CL-OdH.

Electric machines have been in the spotlight as the transportation industry, along with many other high-impact industries, undergo the electrification process. While researchers debate whether one geometry or configuration has a higher power density, higher efficiency, or easier manufacturability, it is agreeable that nearly all the competing electric machines are symmetric. Symmetry can be used to develop a health index, whereas asymmetric signatures point to anomalies that stem from manufacturing imperfections, problems related to rotor faults, or inter-turn short circuits in the stator winding. This study takes a Switched reluctance Motor (SrM) and an Induction Motor (IM) and analyzes their polar magnetic symmetry to introduce a stator health index. Moreover, this symmetry index in conjunction with a discriminative classifier is used to determine and classify the fault severity. Finally, this study presents a viable method to determine the health (in terms of inter-turn stator short circuit faults) of the motor and shows that support vector machine (SVM) and XGBoost can successfully classify the severity of an inter-turn short circuit fault for IM and SrM, respectively. © 1986-2012 IEEE.

This research study aims to solve user location issues within the campus at an educational institution. As this campus comprises a large number of places and departments, users often get confused about how to reach a specific location. To address this problem, the "Ubícate" ("locate by yourself" in Spanish) application was developed following the CdIO methodology, which encompasses four creative process steps: conceive, design, implement, and operate. The "Ubícate" app provides users with information on places of interest such as schools, departments, halls, auditoriums, and sports venues, offering a visual reference of available locations through 360-degree images. The application also uses Google Maps to track user location within the campus, thus marking a reference route between university gates and the different locations available, in addition to providing information on university-sponsored events. In this paper, Section 2 describes the methodology and each of the stages that were addressed in the following sections. Section 3 presents the development itself and the data used for the purposes thereof. Next, Section 4 reveals the results from this study. Later, Section 5 assesses these results and the findings from the study. In Section 6, our conclusions are discussed. Finally, Section 7 lists topics for future research. The application did indeed contribute to improving the attendance of the academic community at events. Where the application was used, the first-hand perception of visitors and their own was very positive and enhanced the institutional image and sense of belonging. The contribution of this study consists of presenting a mobile application as a solution from three approaches: the technical aspects for application development, the business vision to satisfy the user’s needs, and the end user’s perception. The welding process of aluminum(Al) alloy car body has problems such as poor weld quality, low welding co-efficient, and large welding deformation. This paper mainly focuses on material accuracy design, lap structure design, simulation, and process manufacturing to break through the precision control problems caused by welding deformation of battery electric vehicle Al alloy car body. First, the 209 key functional dimensional chains of Al body-in-white are analyzed and decomposed to component and profile tolerance dimensions step by ***, the differences of vertical butt, bevel butt, and plug structures are studied and joint matching is implemented in a targeted manner. Subsequently, through welding deformation simulation analysis and welding sequence optimization, the body-in-white welding process and tooling fixtures are guided and designed to ensure that the dimensional accuracy of the Al body is controlled to ±2 mm in all aspects. Finally, the design of the whole vehicle arrangement of mechanical, human-machine, and major components is carried out, and an all-Al framed battery electric vehicle lightweight platform with different sizes and ranges is innovatively created. The difficulties such as the contradiction between power battery size and arrangement space, unreasonable arrangement position, and load distribution are solved.

Analog-on-Top Mixed Signal (AMS) Integrated Circuit (IC) design is a time-consuming process predominantly carried out by hand. Within this flow, usually, some area is reserved by the top-level integrator for the placement of digital blocks. Specific features of the area, such as size and shape, have a relevant impact on the possibility of implementing the digital logic with the required functionality. We present a Machine Learning (ML)-based evaluation methodology for predicting the feasibility of digital implementation using a set of high-level features.
