Tight oil has become a new growth point for global oil and gas reserves and production. Conventional tight oil reservoirs are mainly developed in depletion mode, and water flooding cannot effectively supplement formation energy. CO2 has strong advantages in terms of elasticity, mutual solubility with crude oil, etc., and is considered to be an effective way to supplement energy. At present, staged fracturing of horizontal wells has gradually become the main development method for tight oil reservoirs, but it still fails to meet production requirements. In this paper, taking the Chang 8 tight oil reservoir in the Ordos Basin as an example, it is the first time to use a combination of physical simulation and numerical simulation, and use an original large-scale physical simulation experiment system to focus on the impact of fractures on the CO2 huff-n-puff effect of staged fractured horizontal wells in tight oil reservoirs. Through the original large-scale physical simulation experiment system (which can simulate a 50 * 50 * 6 cm core), using a combination of physical simulation and numerical simulation to analyze the impact of fractures on the CO2 huff-n-puff effect of horizontal wells with staged fracturing. Studies have shown that fracture length and fracture density are the main controlling factors that affect the CO2 huff-n-puff effect of staged fracturing horizontal wells, and reasonable fracture parameters are the key to improving development efficiency. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

In this work, conducted by three partners — UFAM/CETELI, INdT, and Envision (TPV Group) — we present a system comprising machine learning microservices for predicting defects in industrial assets at the ENVISION factory. data collected through sensors installed in the factory’s industrial assets are processed by machine learning models to generate predictions of failures and machine stops, which are then displayed to the user through a front end.

Osteochondral defects (OCd) are common but difficult to heal due to the low intrinsic repair capacity of cartilage and its complex hierarchical structure. In osteoarthritis (OA), OCd become more challenging to repair as both cartilage and subchondral bone regeneration are further impaired due to the arthritic environment. Numerous biomaterials have been developed and tested in osteochondral defects while ignoring the inflammatory environment. To target this challenging underlying pathophysiology, we designed and fabricated a biphasic porous and degradable scaffold incorporating anti-inflammatory and anabolic molecules by low-temperature rapid prototyping technology, and its effects on promoting osteochondral regeneration were evaluated using our well-established OA-OCd rabbit model. The biphasic porous scaffolds consisted of poly lactic-co-glycolic acid (PLGA) with kartogenin (KGN) for cartilage repair and PLGA and β-calcium phosphate (PLGA/β-TCP) with cinnamaldehyde (CIN) for subchondral bone repair. KGN is a molecule for promoting chondrogenesis and CIN is a phytomolecule for enhancing osteogenesis and alleviating inflammation. The biphasic scaffolds PLGA/KGN-PLGA/β-TCP/CIN (PK/PTC) with bio-mimic structure provided stable mechanical properties and exhibited excellent biocompatibility to support cell adhesion, proliferation, migration, and distribution. Furthermore, KGN and CIN within biphasic scaffolds could be released in a controlled and sustained mode, and the biphasic scaffold degraded slowly in vitro . Evaluating the repair of 16-weeks post-implantation into critically sized OA-OCd rabbit models revealed that the biphasic scaffold could promote subchondral bone and cartilage regeneration, as well as reverse subchondral osteosclerosis caused by inflammation in vivo . These findings support the utilization of the PK/PTC scaffold for osteochondral regeneration and provide a promising potential strategy for clinical application for the treatment of patients with

High-entropy alloy HEA (CrFeCoNi) was reinforced with variety of weight percentages of 5:20 wt.% WC particles. The alloy samples were mechanically prepared in a ball roll mill for 25 h by 10:1 ball to powder ratio at 180 rpm. Then WC was mixed with the prepared alloys in a high-speed ball mill for 1 h by 350 rpm under a controlled atmosphere. The mixed samples were compacted by a uniaxial press under 700 MPa and then sintered at 1200 °C for 90 min under air atmosphere. The corrosion behavior of the tested samples in 3.5 wt.% NaCl solution was investigated using electrochemical polarization measurements. The microstructure of the sintered samples with high relative density showed three phases, which were FCC matrix, W-rich carbide, and Cr-rich carbide and homogeneously distributed all over the alloy matrix. The hardness of the (CrFeCoNi)1-X (WC)X HEAs was increased gradually with the increasing of WC content from about 336.41 HV up to 632.48 HV at room temperature. The results indicated that the addition of WC improves the corrosion resistance. Especially, the 20 wt.% of WC addition remarkably enhanced the comprehensive corrosion resistance and easy passivation of (CrFeCoNi)1-X(WC)X HEAs. Also, the wear rate of 0 wt.% WC HEA is (1.70E-04) which is approximately 4.5 times higher than the wear rate of 20 wt.% WC HEA (3.81E-05);this means that wear resistance is significantly improved with the increase of WC content. © 2022, The Author(s).

The bonding process is a critical step in the synthesis of face-to-face interlaced carbon nanotubes. Copper-copper bonding has emerged as a promising alternative to traditional silicon dioxide to silicon dioxide bonding due to its advantages, including a reduced bonding area requirement and greater flexibility in chip-to-chip bonding. However, the use of formic acid in copper-copper bonding can adversely affect the catalyst employed in carbon nanotube synthesis. This paper presents a modified technique for achieving high-quality Cu-Cu bonding without the need for formic acid. We introduce the innovative use of pillar-cavity pairs, designed to increase contact pressure at the Cu-Cu interface during the bonding process. Additionally, a copper base is employed to enhance the adhesion strength between the electroplated copper pillars and the substrate. Our experimental results demonstrate that the bonded chips can withstand subsequent processes, including double-side-dicing and high-temperature treatments, highlighting the robustness of this bonding approach. The bonding strength is quantitatively evaluated through shear tests, confirming the reliability and stability of the Cu-Cu bonds formed using this technique. This technology exhibits promising potential for use in the future synthesis of face-to-face interlaced carbon nanotubes. © 2023 IEEE.

In recent days, many people die of pulmonary embolism (PE) complications, respiratory problems that form in the deep lung. Covid-19 is the leading cause of preventable hospital death for trauma patients and despite 0.1% of the population receiving a new diagnosis annually. developing computer-aided detection (CAd) systems would alleviate these concerns; however, current systems classify computed tomography (CT) slices individually and yield many false positives from Covid-19. We have done a retrospective study on a dataset collected from various health central hospitals. There is a continued need for tools that can predict Covid and black fungal in hospitalized patients. It affects an estimated 3000–6000 Individuals just in recent days. This can cause considerable morbidity and mortality. For segmentation and classification, we mortality. By developing more effective detection algorithms, we hope to ensure a more frequent and accurate diagnosis of covid, thereby reducing its high mortality rate. reports have shown that black fungus is steadily increasing in India as well as the death toll it causes. It has been called ‘a pandemic within the Covid-19 pandemic’ by medical specialists. Black fungus, or Mucormycosis, is a complication caused by a fungal infection. In India Mucormycosis has been detected in Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, and Bihar, Primarily, fungal spores floating in the environment gives people this infection. This spreads through contact. The fungi sticks to a body part and travels inside through the nose, lungs or sinus.

We demonstrate use of mechanistic modeling assisted designing of scalable and efficient continuous multicolumn radial Protein A chromatography based purification step for biosimilar monoclonal antibody therapeutic. Protein A chromatography using continuous multicolumn chromatography has several benefits, including reduced buffer use, increased productivity, and small footprint. Productivity and capacity utilization (CU) of the continuous radial CaptureSMB process under varying operating conditions was predicted using the general rate mechanistic model framework and validated with the experimental results. Effect of critical process parameters like mAb feed concentration (c0), loading breakthrough % (s), and residence time (rT) on productivity and capacity utilization of radial flow continuous Protein A chromatography were evaluated. Model predictions were validated using the experimental results proving the reliability and feasibility of the modeling approach. At 3.00±0.20 mg/mL feed model mAb concentration, the model-based approach predicts 20.33 g/L/h productivity (rT= 2 minute, s=80%) using MabSelect™ PrismA resin. By conducting the continuous CaptureSMB experiment under the same operating conditions, this productivity forecast was verified experimentally and found to be 20.45 g/L/h. The results demonstrate the use of mechanistic modeling framework to predict the performance of continuous radial flow CaptureSMB chromatography for biosimilar monoclonal antibody therapeutic purification. © 2024, The Authors. The integration of hardware and software, specifically the Guidance and Navigation Control (GNC) system, is cru-cial for achieving underwater positioning in autonomous systems like Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs). In our study, we present a novel Hardware-in-the-Loop System (HILS) framework that differs from traditional component-based approaches. This framework enables real-time interaction with the GNC loop, incorporates GPS simulation to enhance navigation accuracy, and utilizes an inertial measurement unit(IMU) and a Flight Motion Simulator (FMS) to capture real-time attitude dynamics. By connecting to a real-Time Computer, it effectively communicates with the AUV's GNC loop, taking into consideration actuator latency. Our experiments demonstrate the system's precision and dependability, establishing it as an innovative tool for AUV research and setting a precedent for future advancements.
