Complex and complex neurological illnesses like Parkinson's disease (Pd) are difficult to investigate. This publication introduces 'Neural Pathway Profiling for Parkinson's disease drug discovery.' It leverages cutting-edge deep learning. GCNs explain molecular interactions, LSTMs examine temporal sequences, and VAEs learn by forming new patterns. Our research uses genes, proteins, and clinical data to explain how Parkinson's disease's various components interact in complex ways. LSTMs illustrate how clinical data is connected to time, GCNs reveal how molecules interact in biological networks, and VAEs discover hidden chemical structures for generative learning. The blended design reveals key brain connections and Parkinson's disease therapeutic targets. © 2024 IEEE.

Competitive role of film-like austenite and transition carbides on hydrogen embrittlement resistance and impact toughness in bainite-containing quenched and partitioned steel

A microstructure composed of martensite matrix,lower bainite,and stable film-like austenite was designed by a quenching and isothermal bainitic holding process in a 0.30C–2.69Mn–1.71Si(wt.%)*** yield strength,tensile strength,and ductile-to-brittle transition temperature(dBTT)of the high-strength steel thus obtained were 1263 MPa,1521 MPa,and-33℃,respectively,and at-20℃,it showed superior low-temperature toughness,which reached 77.5 J/cm^(2).Meanwhile,it showed excellent hydrogen embrittlement(HE)resistance,and the total elongation loss is only 3.1%after 15 min of hydrogen *** excellent comprehensive performance is attributed to the fact that fine stable austenite with film-like morphology hindered the crack nucleation and propagation,and hindered hydrogen diffusion as a hydrogen ***,with a decrease in the isothermal temperature,transition carbide precipitation was accompanied by a further decrease in austenite grain *** this condition,although transition carbides can act as effective hydrogen traps,excessive precipitation decreased the carbon content of retained austenite and increased the deformation heterogeneity between austenite and martensite matrix,leading to weakened austenite stability and HE resistance,a total elongation loss of approximately 39%(15 min hydrogen charging),a sharp decrease in impact toughness,and an increase in *** competitive role of film-like austenite and transition carbides on the comprehensive mechanical performance of steel is revealed,especially the suppression of crack nucleation and propagation that will provide a guide for the design of high strength steels with excellent impact toughness and HE resistance.

Petroleum and natural gas are pivotal in the energy sector, with drilling as the primary extraction method involving machine-driven drill bits for excavating underground and retrieving resources. Similar to various industrial processes, drilling efficiency is significantly affected by vibration-related issues, influencing petroleum extraction outcomes. To systematically identify vibrations during drilling, we developed a data collection system covering both surface and downhole components. The surface component primarily records parameters observed during drilling, while the downhole part integrates into the drilling tool, positioned near the drill bit to capture three-axis vibration signals. The amalgamation of data from both surface and downhole components facilitates the annotation of harmful vibrations. Using LSTM-FCN, we enhance vibration identification by processing surface and downhole data. Our SampleFusion (SF) algorithm further improves recognition by combining LSTM for surface and FCN for downhole data. This integrated approach enhances real-time monitoring and classification of drilling vibrations, contributing to industry efficiency and safety.

Only the electromagnetic force on the stator is applied when calculating the radiated noise of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) in the industry. And the influence of rotor excitation on the noise of PMSM is not considered. This paper studies the loading method of rotor excitation firstly. The centralized force is applied to the rotor which simplified with superelement. Secondly, the modal results of the motor assembly simplified with superelement are compared with the modal results of the motor assembly without simplified. The correctness of simplifying the rotor with the superelement is verified in this paper. Finally, the motor noise under three working conditions is calculated. The comparison results show that the rotor excitation has little effect on the main order noise of the PMSM. The reason why the rotor electromagnetic excitation is not considered when calculating motor noise in the industry is answered. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Tool wear is one of the dominant factors that impacts the surface integrity of machined materials. Understanding the impact of tool wear on surface integrity is crucial in micromilling, due to the size of the features being machined and the cutting tools. Therefore, this work aims to analyse the impact of tool wear on surface integrity during the micromilling of Ti6Al4V. In this context, microslots were manufactured on a Ti6Al4V workpiece using both coated and uncoated 1 mm flat end mills at constant cutting parameters with varying cutting lengths in order to analyse the progression of tool wear with machined length and its impact on surface integrity. The microtools were investigated using both Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and infinite focus optical imaging (Alicona) to determine the tool wear evolution. Surface integrity was assessed by analysing surface roughness areal parameters, surface microscope images, and subsurface microstructure and microhardness perpendicular to the cutting direction. The results show that surface quality was not affected by the evolution of tool wear, with surface topography, including surface roughness parameters, remaining within a similar range until the catastrophic failure of the tool. Analysis of the machined surface revealed small chips adhered to it, which affected the surface texture height measurements, leading to a predominance of atypical peaks on the surface. Subsurface analysis of the machined material showed that the microstructure and microhardness remained consistent with the bulk material characteristics, indicating no evidence of severe plastic deformation in the machined subsurface. However, once the tool failed and began rubbing against the workpiece surface, swept grains due to material dragging and heat-affected zones were observed in the subsurface microstructure. Swept grains, caused by material extrusion, were also observed in the microstructure of the top burr formation regions throughout the experiments

We propose tightly-coupled LidAr thermal inertial odometry for LidAr and visual odometry degraded environments to deal with LidAr and rGB-based visual odometry degenerate environments. Our approach exhibits high robustness and accuracy by tightly-coupled sensor fusion between LidAr edge/planar features and thermal camera point features. Furthermore, to mitigate challenges inherent in thermal vision such as low contrast, we employ a learning-based optical flow trained on both synthetic thermal images generated from rGB images and real-world thermal images. Experimental results demonstrate that our method effectively handles not only the degradation of LidAr and visual odometry but also challenges inherent in thermal vision.

This paper addresses the challenge of difficulty in adjusting late-stage production in water-flooded reservoirs and proposes an integrated well network design mode for CO2 enhanced oil recovery (EOr) and storage. The well network is designed according to the full life cycle of carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS), meeting the requirements of both CO2 EOr and storage phases. It extends the implementation time of CO2 EOr schemes to enhance oil recovery while ensuring effective CO2 storage, aligning with the overall strategy of global green and low-carbon development. The overall approach involves the use of a three-dimensional CO2 flooding injection and recovery well network, with progressive development in the vertical stratigraphic layers to maximize the utilization of existing old wells. The stratigraphic reconstruction involves the CO2 flooding injection and recovery well network, ensuring that new gas injection wells meet the requirements for CO2 injection processes and production rates, while also serving as replacements for gas injection in other stratigraphic layers. Production wells make use of the original old wells, and well completion methods are adjusted to achieve the development of replacement layers. The "top injection, middle production, bottom support" three-stage development method is designed to fully utilize the high points of reservoir microstructures and bottom water energy. Finally, well network optimization is achieved through streamline tracking simulation methods. The proposed technology has been applied in the CO2 enhanced oil recovery plan for the L reservoir. Initially focusing on CO2 flooding for oil recovery and shifting to CO2 storage later, it is projected to achieve a cumulative CO2 injection of tens of millions of tons over 46 years (including 40% recycled injection), with a displacement factor reaching 1.57PV. For fractured low permeability reservoirs, there are challenges to enhance oil recovery after water flooding with high water cut contents. Because of unsatisfied surfactant polymer flooding, we explored the integrated EOr techniques of conformance control treatment and surfactant flooding. This paper analyzes the results of pilot tests with four injectors and 16 producers and concludes the effectiveness of integrated EOr techniques. Based on lab results of conformance control core flooding tests and surfactant based chemical EOr reservoir core flooding experiments, we did pilot simulation studies to develop pilot design parameters. Then through history match and detailed compositional simulation, we made EOr integrated technology design and compared several injection scenarios by predicting the potential performance. Finally, an integrated EOr technique with two conformance control treatments and surfactant flooding was selected and executed for three injectors in the interested pilot block. For the fourth injector, only surfactant flooding was used to compare. Lab results of conformance control core flooding tests showed the efficiency of plugging and a good fluid diversion performance of conformance polymer agents. Surfactant based chemical EOr reservoir core flooding experiments resulted from 70% to 98% residual crude oil recovery. The experimental data obtained was implemented in a numerical simulator model to find the potential incremental recovery associated with conformance control treatments and chemical flooding. A refined sector model used to further evaluate the effect of them. Positive simulation results boost pilot tests. Five fluid injection slugs including the cleaning slug, pre-flooding slug, near wellbore plugging slug, in deep conformance control slug, and surfactant flooding slug were run for three injectors in the range of eight to ten months of treatment.
