Recently, all have witnessed a rapid growth of COVID-19 coronavirus worldwide. The calculation of COVID-19 time-series prediction is done using many techniques like compartment models, machine learning models (ML), and deep learning models. Therefore, in this paper, the authors have proposed an ensemble-based neural network model. Neural networks (NN), along with non-linear autoregressive (NAR) functions, fitting neural networks (FITNET), or fuzzy Systems, are widely used in time-series forecasting. The responses of NAR, FITNET predictor modules are aggregated using fuzzy logic, which improves the final prediction by intelligently integrating outputs of different modules. The whole model was put to the test in terms of forecasting the coronavirus time series in India, at 13 States. In the validation data set, results of ensemble NN models with fuzzy response integration demonstrate extremely better-predicted values. Overall, the results reveal that a modular neural network with fuzzy (MNNF) beats all other approaches in performance metrics, like Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE). Prediction errors of ensemble NN i.e., MNNF are much smaller than those of classic monolithic neural networks, showing advantages of the method proposed. The model provides the prediction for the upcoming 8 days.

Cervical cancer is screened by pap smear methodology for detection and classification *** smear images of the cervical region are employed to detect and classify the abnormality of cervical *** this paper,we proposed the first system that it ables to classify the pap smear images into a seven classes *** smear images are exploited to design a computer-aided diagnoses system to classify the abnormality in cervical images *** features that have been extracted using ResNet101 are employed to discriminate seven classes of images in Support Vector Machine(SVM)*** success of this proposed system in distinguishing between the levels of normal cases with 100%accuracy and 100%*** top of that,it can distinguish between normal and abnormal cases with an accuracy of 100%.The high level of abnormality is then studied and classified with a high *** the other hand,the low level of abnormality is studied separately and classified into two classes,mild and moderate dysplasia,with∼92%*** proposed system is a built-in cascading manner with five models of polynomial(SVM)*** overall accuracy in training for all cases is 100%,while the overall test for all seven classes is around 92%in the test phase and overall accuracy reaches 97.3%.The proposed system facilitates the process of detection and classification of cervical cells in pap smear images and leads to early diagnosis of cervical cancer,which may lead to an increase in the survival rate in women.

Despite edge computing reducing communication delays associated with cloud computing, privacy concerns remain a significant challenge when sharing data from edge-based consumer electronics (CE) or Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices. Ciphertext policy attribute-based encryption (CP-ABE) is a cryptographic tool that facilitates intricate and refined access control. It can deliver more flexible, secure, compact, and effective access control policies for the cloud data. In the case of a conventional CP-ABE scheme, the keys can only be issued and disseminated by a trusted central authority (CA). However, if the CA is compromised, the entire system becomes more susceptible to assaults or failures, which leads to a single-point failure. In this article, we propose a Ring-Learning with Errors (Ring-LWE)-based MA-CP-ABE scheme that is effectively resolved by the multi-authority CP-ABE (MA-CP-ABE), and it ensures the security against quantum attacks. The threshold secret sharing by Shamir and the Lagrange interpolation formula are applied in the key-generation and decryption procedures of the proposed scheme, which make it easier to segment and restore the private keys. The proposed scheme is implemented in the CE-enabled IoT-based smart healthcare applications using the blockchain technology as a secure storage. A detailed comparative study, security analysis and experimental results with the existing relevant schemes shows that the proposed scheme exhibits superior security and better efficiency as compared to other schemes, demonstrating its feasibility in practical IoT-based healthcare applications. © 2025 IEEE.

Image captioning involves generating a natural language description that accurately represents the content and context of an image. To achieve this, image captioning utilises various machine learning techniques and fields, such as computer vision and natural language processing. In the field of image captioning, a lot of advances have been made with encoder-decoder models and reinforcement learning algorithms. However, there are still problems of imbalance between testing and training, as reinforcement learning only handles single comparator metrics such as CIDEr, SPICE, and BLEU and could not perform better in multiple metrics at once. Which is why a lack of diversity can be seen in generated captions. This idea proposes a general technique for collaborative updating that can bridge the gap between evaluation measures and test metrics to produce captions that are more human-like. To increase the precision of image captions, the approach involves using a compiled reward system that considers multiple evaluation metrics to compare the generated sentence with the provided sentences. We will evaluate the model's performance and the reward updating process on standard datasets like MS COCO. © 2023 IEEE.

In this article, the problem of linear precoding and radar receive beamforming design for joint radar-communication (JRC) systems is studied. A multiple antenna base station (BS) that serves multiple single-antenna user terminals on the downlink is assumed. Furthermore, the BS employs a simultaneous radar function in the form of point-like target detection from the reflected return signals in a signal-dependent interference environment. In this work, we jointly design the JRC linear precoder and the radar receive beamformer, thus aiming to optimize the performance of the radar part while maintaining a desired quality of service (QoS) for the communication one subject to a total transmit power constraint. To that end, we formulate a challenging fractional nonconvex optimization problem via which the optimal precoder and radar receive beamformer are derived. Then, we develop algorithmic solutions based on the majorization-minimization (MM) principle and the semidefinite relaxation (SDR) methodology for the formulated optimization problem. The performance of both the proposed solutions is examined and compared to the one of a system that supports only the radar functionality via numerical results. © 2023 IEEE.

The highway-env reinforcement learning tasks provides a good abstract testbed for designing driving agents for specific driving scenarios like lane changing, parking or intersections etc. But, generally these driving simulation environments often restrict themselves to safer and precise trajectories. However, we clearly know that real driving tasks often involve very high risk collision prone unexpected situations. Hence, the autonomous model-free driving agents prepared in these environments are blind to certain low probability traffic collision corner cases. In our study we systematically focus on generating adversarial driving collision prone scenarios with dangerous driving behavior and heavy traffic in order to create robust autonomous agents. In our experimentation we train model free learning agents with additional collision prone scenario simulations and compare their efficacy with regular simulation based agents. Ultimately, we create a causal experimentation setup which successfully accounts for the performance improvements across different driving scenarios by utilizing learning from risky driving situations. © 2021 IEEE.

This paper examines the reproducibility of massive information analytics under particular factors. The paper proposes the 'performing Scalable Inference' technique to cope with scalability troubles and to exploit current big statistics platforms for efficient computing and statistics garage of the statistics. In particular, the paper describes how to perform leak-free, parallelizable visible analytics over massive datasets using present extensive records analytics frameworks such as Apache Flink. This method presents an automated manner to execute analytics that preserves reproducibility and the ability to make adjustments without re-running the entire technique. The paper also demonstrates how these analytics may help several real-world use instances, explore affected person cohorts for studies, and develop stratified patient cohorts for hospital therapy. In the end, the paper observes how the proposed method may be exercised within the real world. Actively scalable inference for massive information analytics is pivotal in optimizing decision-making and allocation of assets. Typically, such inferences are made based on information accumulated from numerous sources, databases, unstructured data, and different digital sources. So one can ensure scalability, a complete cloud-primarily based platform has to be hired. This solution will permit the ***, deploying the essential records series and evaluation algorithms are prime here. It could permit the platform to recognize the styles inside the statistics and discover any ability correlations or traits. Additionally, predictive analytics and system mastering strategies may be incorporated to provide insights into the results of the information. Operations and Maintenance (O&M) cost optimization in the nuclear energy industry is an imperative task for developing sustainable systems and efficient renewable technologies. We present a modular probabilistic framework for addressing maintenance scheduling challenges for small modular nuclear reactors using a Dynamic Bayesian Network (DBN) approach that monitors fatigue and performance in multiple subsystems of the reactors and provides a probabilistic assessment for potential failure events. The DBN framework fuses information from potential digital twins that assimilate real time data from several sensors with different time granularities in order to monitor and update thecurrentstate of knowledge aboutthestatus of several fatigue or performance criteria. Comprised of multi-modal digital twins (empirical, data- and physics-based twins), this DBN serves as a predictive framework forecasting the future state of specific reactor subsystems and enhancing decision-making capabilities associated with preventing system failure and minimizing the time and cost of maintenance events. The work presented in this paper is a holistic approach for monitoring and safeguarding complex, multi-component engineering systems where maintenance scheduling is critical and does not restrict itself to nuclear environments. An emerging space in interface research is wearable devices that closely couple their sensing and actuation abilities. A well-known example is MetaLimbs [39], where sensed movements of the foot are directly mapped to the actuation of supernumerary robotic limbs. These systems are different from wearables focused on sensing, such as fitness trackers, or wearables focused on actuation, such as VR headsets. They are characterized by tight coupling between the user’s action and the resulting digital feedback from the device, in time, space, and mode. The properties of this coupling are critical for the user’s experience, including the user’s sense of agency, body ownership, and experience of the surrounding world. Understanding such systems is an open challenge, which requires knowledge not only of computer science and HCI, but also Psychology, Physiology, Design, engineering, Cognitive Neuroscience, and Control Theory. This workshop aims to foster discussion between these diverse disciplines and to identify links and synergies in their work, ultimately developing a common understanding of future research directions for systems that intrinsically couple sensing and action. © 2025 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

The issue of modeling holds significant importance for the applicability of control theory, particularly at higher control levels where the verbal description of control objects becomes increasingly crucial. However, a notable disadvantage of such verbal descriptions is the inherent ambiguity and vagueness of the obtained results. This article aims to address this challenge by proposing an approach that utilizes Petri nets (PN) to model and control a specific component within an intelligent home. Additionally, the Simulink modeling tool and Petri net analysis tools are introduced as aids in the modeling process. The article focuses on creating a model that accurately represents the temperature regulation system in the home, considering the constant rise in energy consumption and costs. Furthermore, the transfer of the model to the Simulink environment using IF THEN rules is demonstrated, allowing for an evaluation of its performance. Through the comprehensive application of this approach, the aim is to optimize energy usage and reduce costs within household environments. © 2023 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.
