Ground Based Synthetic Aperture radar (GBSAR) can retrieve sub-millimeter deformation information of the mine slope by using differential interferometry, which is important to safe production in mining application. However, the continuous operation of vehicles in the mining area can block radar signal to slope. The movement of vehicles may also affect the slope stability. Therefore, using GBSAR to detect moving target signal and remove their influence to deformation retrieval is necessary. To our knowledge, the paper about moving target detection based on GBSAR has not been published. Considering current GBSAR systems are mostly single channel FMCW systems. In this paper, we evaluate the capability of moving target detection based on NCUT Risk radar GBSAR. The GBSAR moving target signal model is analyzed. Then, detection methods utilize shift and defocusing characteristics are analyze. According to the analysis, a new time-domain phase compensation method with relative speed for azimuth moving target detection is proposed. The analysis and proposed method are verified by simulated data. © 2022 ACM.

Spaceborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) has widely applied in the field of earth monitoring because of its advantages of high-resolution imaging and repeat pass observation. However, the previous SAR target detection algorithms are mainly aimed at stationary and moving targets on land and ocean scenes, and there are relatively few studies on aerial targets detection. Therefore, this paper proposes a detection method for stationary and moving aeroplane using time-series image data. Based on the low-rank sparse decomposition algorithm, this method uses time-series image data to detect stationary targets and severely defocused moving targets. By the above detection results, false alarm suppression and detection of stationary and moving aeroplane can be effectively achieved. The method is verified by Sentinel-1 time-series image data, and the results show that the proposed method is feasible. © 2024 IEEE.

The registration of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and optical images is critical in multimodal remote sensing image fusion. In recent years, deep learning-based registration networks have been continuously introduced. However, owing to the significant disparities in viewing angles and radiometric properties between SAR and optical images, current deep learning methods struggle to fully exploit the physical properties of radar imaging. In addition, many existing matching networks typically perform only a forward pass, resulting in suboptimal model performance. This article proposes a cyclic iterative registration SAR mechanism network (termed as CIRSM-Net) for the registration of SAR and optical images. First, we design a learning module that integrates the radar equation with a microwave scattering model to capture deep features from SAR images, and design a corresponding scattering feature loss to aid in better generalization across various radar images. Then, to explore optimization methods for matching networks, this study proposes a strategy of multiple iterative optimizations within the matching network. Specifically, it integrates speeding-up radiation-variation insensitive feature transform (RIFT2) supervision in the backend matching network and iteratively optimizes the final output. Finally, during the iteration process, we propose an innovative matching loss function that combines the rotation invariance supervision of RIFT2 with iterative optimization techniques to enhance feature matching accuracy. Experimental results on both public and our own datasets additionally confirm the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed approach, demonstrating its significant potential for practical applications. © 2025 IEEE.

The bearing-crossing localization technique of passive radar has been widely used in modern electronic warfare. However, when the passive radar locates multiple interference sources, a large number of false points will be generated. The traditional false points eliminating methods exist the problems of low positioning accuracy and high computational complexity. In order to eliminate false points more effectively and ensure the tracking performance of passive radar to interference sources, a false points eliminating method for passive radar cross location based on Hough transform is proposed in this paper, which combines the advantages of angle correlation method and Hough transform method to eliminate false points. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed false points eliminating method. Compared with the traditional false points eliminating methods, the proposed method not only presents higher positioning accuracy for interference sources, but also can effectively reduce the computational complexity of the algorithm. © The Institution of Engineering & technology 2023.

When Ground Synthetic Aperture radar (GBSAR) encounters an enclosed space scene, the transmitted signal will be subject to a certain amount of multipath interference. At the same time, the transmitted signal and multipath interference will be coupled to the radar receiver and affect the imaging. Therefore, this paper proposes to use RPCA algorithm to decompose the scene into low rank sparse parts, and adjust the threshold to separate better coupling and echo. Finally, the experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of RPCA coupling suppression. © 2022 Association for Computing Machinery.

Micro-vibration measurement based on millimeter wave radar is a non-contact and high-precision measurement method, which plays an important role in the field of bridge health monitoring. Extraction of micro-vibration signal for radar usually obtains differential phase information by differential interference processing of radar echo signal. Then the high precision target deformation is obtained by integrating the difference phase. Under high background noise, the differential phase faces wrapping problem, which causes the jump of deformation and destroys the vibration information. Based on additive constant, micro-vibration signal for radar in low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is extracted in this paper to solve the jump of deformation jump. The method can accurately obtain the deformation of vibration signal at the same time. Finally, the simulation and the real data results have showed the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2021 IEEE.

Circular Synthetic Aperture radar(CSAR)is a new SAR imaging mode, which has the advantages of long-time observation and multiaspect observation. Based on these advantages, our team have proposed a single channel moving target detection method entitled logarithmic background subtraction(LBS). This method utilizes the target signal motion in sub-aperture image sequence. However, in-depth study shows that target with height will project a circular defocus, which also have motion when in sub-aperture image sequence. Thus, causing misdetection and false-alarm rate increasing. In this paper, the formula between defocus radius and point target height is derived and analyzed. Based on analysis, a false-alarm suppression method for moving target detection is proposed. It uses trajectory difference between moving target and defocus signal to remove the false-alarm caused by defocus signal and reduce the false-alarm rate. The proposed false-alarm suppression method is verified by W-band video SAR data. © 2022 Association for Computing Machinery. All rights reserved.

The Polarimetric target decomposition method based on scattering model is a hotspot, but there is a problem that decomposition results are inconsistent with actual scattering of ground objects. In order to solve the problem, a new polarimetric SAR data decomposition method based on generalized volume scattering model is proposed in this paper. Matrix rotation theory on basis of the dominant scatterer is used in the method, which removes cross-polarized scattering power generated by the coupling between orthogonal states of polarization. On this basis, a suitable volume scattering model is selected, which ultimately makes decomposition results are closer to scattering characteristics of ground objects and reduces the number of negative power pixels. Experiments show that the results of novel decomposition method reflect the scattering characteristics of real objects more accurately. © 2019 IEEE.

With the goal of detecting moving targets, this paper proposes a new single channel Circular Synthetic Aperture radar (CSAR) moving targets detection algorithm based on Low-rank Sparse Decomposition (LRSD). This algorithm utilizes the correlation among overlap subaperture logarithmic amplitude image sequences, the static clutter is regarded as low-rank component and the moving targets is considered as sparse component. Then, the background image sequence (without moving target) and the foreground image sequence (moving targets) can be extracted by the LRSD. Considering the unknown foreground image distribution, this paper proposes a Local Dynamic Threshold based on Otsu (LDTO) method independent of image distribution to detect moving targets. Finally, the experiment on the X-band airborne Gotcha Data demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. © 2021 IEEE.

This paper presents a new arcuate antenna array which is introducing to operate at W band with HFSS-MATLAB-API script design. The complex arcuate antenna array has been designed with MATLAB and HFSS according to the script programming framework which has already finished the modeling, numerical solution and simulate analysis. The azimuthal and pitch-oriented array antennas radiation pattern and the 3D polar plot have been obtained from the signal processing. Then the simulated results show that the late-model arcuate antenna provides favorable performance in terms of low side lobes radiation pattern and directionality. Therefore, the feasibility and practicability of arc antenna array can be realized through optimization design. © 2019 IEEE.
