Ridesharing benefits the economy and the environment. In multi-hop ridesharing, passengers are permitted to switch vehicles within a single trip, extending the flexibility of conventional ridesharing. Nonetheless, vehicle dispatch is a difficult issue in multi-hop ridesharing. We subdivide the vehicle dispatching problem into the vehicle pairing problem and the request selection problem within a vehicle pair. To address these subproblems, we propose a two-stage framework for vehicle pair dispatching. In the initial stage, we model the vehicle pairing problem as a maximum vehicle-vehicle matching problem in a general graph, which differs from the conventional vehicle-request matching problem in a bipartite graph. The vehicle pairing algorithm is proposed to efficiently solve the vehicle pairing problem. In the second stage, we model the request selection problem as a multidimensional knapsack problem (d-KP) and propose an LP-relaxation request selection algorithm with an approximation ratio 1/5. Experiments conducted on a real-world dataset demonstrate the economic benefit of our proposed two-stage framework.

Task assignment is a key challenge in mobile crowd-sensing because of the varying capabilities of crowd users. Location-based task assignment schemes require users to upload their location to an untrusted platform, which raises many privacy concerns. However, stronger privacy preservation may lead to lower system utility. It is challenging to maximize system utility under privacy preservation for users. In this paper, we propose a privacy-preserving task assignment for heterogeneous users (PTAH) problem in mobile crowdsensing. Specifically, we divide users into two groups: private users with location privacy requirements and public users without location privacy requirements. We first design a privacy-preserving mechanism to obfuscate the actual location of private users. Then we construct a relationship graph based on the locations between users and tasks. We prove that the PTAH problem is an NP-hard problem, so to maximize the system utility, we propose an approximation algorithm based on the greedy algorithm. Then we propose a multi-thread cooperative simulated annealing algorithm to search for a better approximate solution. Finally, we conducted simulations based on the widely-used real-world Roma dataset. The results show that our proposed algorithm consistently outperforms other baseline algorithms.

Several millions of people suffer from Parkinson’s disease ***’s affects about 1%of people over 60 and its symptoms increase with *** voice may be affected and patients experience abnormalities in speech that might not be noticed by listeners,but which could be analyzed using recorded speech *** the huge advancements of technology,the medical data has increased dramatically,and therefore,there is a need to apply data mining and machine learning methods to extract new knowledge from this *** classification methods were used to analyze medical data sets and diagnostic problems,such as Parkinson’s Disease(PD).In addition,to improve the performance of classification,feature selection methods have been extensively used in many *** paper aims to propose a comprehensive approach to enhance the prediction of PD using several machine learning methods with different feature selection methods such as filter-based and *** dataset includes 240 recodes with 46 acoustic features extracted from3 voice recording replications for 80 *** experimental results showed improvements when wrapper-based features selection method was used with K-NN classifier with accuracy of 88.33%.The best obtained results were compared with other studies and it was found that this study provides comparable and superior results.

Automatic scene generation is an essential area of research with applications in robotics, recreation, visual representation, training and simulation, education, and more. This survey provides a comprehensive review of the current state-of-the-arts in automatic scene generation, focusing on techniques that leverage machine learning, deep learning, embedded systems, and natural language processing (NLP). We categorize the models into four main types: Variational Autoencoders (VAEs), Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), Transformers, and Diffusion Models. Each category is explored in detail, discussing various sub-models and their contributions to the field. We also review the most commonly used datasets, such as COCO-Stuff, Visual Genome, and MS-COCO, which are critical for training and evaluating these models. Methodologies for scene generation are examined, including image-to-3D conversion, text-to-3D generation, graph-based methods, and interactive scene generation. Evaluation metrics such as Fréchet Inception Distance (FID), Kullback-Leibler (KL) Divergence, Inception Score (IS), Intersection over Union (IoU), and Mean Average Precision (mAP) are discussed in the context of their use in assessing model performance. The survey identifies key challenges and limitations in the field, such as maintaining realism, handling complex scenes with multiple objects, and ensuring consistency in object relationships and spatial arrangements. By summarizing recent advances and pinpointing areas for improvement, this survey aims to provide a valuable resource for researchers and practitioners working on automatic scene generation. © 2013 IEEE.

Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) based on simple graph can directly model 3D multispectral point clouds, thus avoiding the problem of 3D spatial information loss when converting 3D point clouds to 2D feature images. However, considering the dense distribution of objects in remote sensing scenes, GNNs only consider the association between pairs of vertices, which is insufficient for exploring high-order correlations and long-term dependence correlations. Hypergraph neural network (HGNN) is a more generalized framework that overcomes the limitations of traditional simple graph. In this paper, we propose a spectral-spatial fusion hypergraph convolutional network (S2FHGCN) for 3D multispectral point cloud classification. S2FHGCN first generates two hypergraphs from multidimensional features including spectral feature and spatial feature, respectively. The hypergraph structure can better handle complex high-order correlations for representation learning. Then the two hypergraphs are fused to obtain global representation information. Finally, the multidimensional features and the fused hypergraph are input to the hypergraph convolution network. The experimental results on real multispectral point clouds demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed S2FHGCN for multispectral point cloud classification. © 2023 IEEE.

realizing Generalized Zero-Shot Learning (GZSL) based on large models is emerging as a prevailing trend. However, most existing methods merely regard large models as black boxes, solely leveraging the features output by the final layer while disregarding potential performance enhancements from other layers. Indeed, numerous researchers have visually depicted variations in the features learned across different layers of neural networks. Motivated by this observation, we propose a Vision Transformer (ViT)-based GZSL method named Depth-Aware Multi-Modal ViT (DAM2ViT), which exploits multi-level features of ViT. DAM2ViT incorporates a multi-modal interaction block to align semantic information of categories across multiple layers, thereby augmenting the model’s capacity to learn associations between visual and semantic spaces. Extensive experiments conducted on three benchmark datasets (i.e., CUB, SUN, AWA2) have showcased that DAM2ViT achieves competitive results compared to state-of-the-art methods. © 2024 IEEE.

When two face images are shown to a subject, the subject’s preference choice is influenced by many factors. Although it is a challenging task, one way to detect a subject’s preference is to analyze the eye movement gaze cascade in the recorded video sequence together with a set of extracted attributes (features). Combinatorial fusion algorithm (CFA) is a new information fusion and machine learning paradigm for combining multiple scoring systems using rank-score characteristic (RSC) function and cognitive diversity (CD). In this paper, we apply CFA in the analysis of the eye movement gaze cascade sequence. In particular, we characterize each of the attributes and measure the diversity between two attributes using RSC function and CD respectively. The novelty of the combinatorial fusion approach is the new paradigm of incorporating both score function and rank function as well as using both score combination and rank combination. In addition, our results demonstrate that weighted rank combination has some advantage over weighted score combination when the weight is measured using diversity strength. Since diversity strength depends only on cognitive diversity between two attributes but not on any specific sequence in the eye movement gaze cascade, our result facilitates learning and modeling in an unsupervised manner. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

The fifth generation (5G) network is a crucial foundation for the industrial Internet. Key performance indicator (KPI) anomaly detection in the 5G core network (5GC) plays a pivotal role in 5G applications. Some researchers have introduced Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN)-based techniques to detect anomalies. However, these methods remain limited, such as pattern collapse. In this paper, we propose MTMG, a Masked Transformer-based Multi-GAN model, to achieve highly accurate and robust anomaly detection. We use Transformer to learn the associations between data better. Specifically, MTMG employs multiple generators and a discriminator to deflect the pattern collapse dilemma. In addition, we introduce the mask mechanism to learn the normal distribution of data better and prevent the model degradation caused by anomalies in the training set. We also adopt a root cause strategy to locate the anomalies. Experimental results demonstrate that our model outperforms the baselines significantly in terms of detection performance.
