Ensuring the development of high-quality leather products in the industrial sector requires a strong focus on leather quality assurance. In this study, a unique method for enhancing leather quality assurance using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) is presented. Our suggested solution is able to detect and classify leather defects with amazing accuracy and efficiency by utilizing deep learning. CNN integration for leather fault categorization and detection offers a more reliable and affordable solution, ensuring better product quality and satisfied customers. Existing methods for inspecting leather products often suffer from inconsistent quality control, subjective manual inspection processes, and the complexity of accurately identifying and classifying various types of leather defects. By addressing these challenges, the proposed system aims to empower leather manufacturers with a reliable and efficient solution for ensuring consistent product quality and reducing production costs. Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) are integrated to provide a highly automated and effective solution that overcomes these scaling challenges. The proposed CNN-based method uses deep learning algorithms to decode images, which allows the system to swiftly and precisely analyse enormous volumes of visual data. To make sure the CNN can differentiate between various defect classes and keep a low rate of false positives and false negatives, its accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score should be carefully assessed. © 2025 IEEE.

In this paper, we introduce a systematic design of an end-to-end cyber-secure monitoring and safe operation framework for solar photovoltaic (PV)-rich microgrids, by focusing on the use of on-line attack detector for defending against potential cyber-physical attacks and sensor measurement data processing for operational safety. The proposed approach is based on: 1) identifying component models using their input and output measurements;2) dynamic watermarking (DW) methodology for on-line cyber-attack detection and its timing;and 3) an adaptive event-driven safe shutdown procedure after attack detection. It is shown how these three components interactive steps jointly to ensure safe operation under both normal operational scenarios and compromised operational scenarios with some malicious sensors caused by cyber-attacks on solar PV microgrids. Through this on-line integration, the proposed framework dynamically adapts to varying solar irradiance, load demands, operating conditions, and potential cyber-physical attacks. This forms a cyber-physical system which can pro-actively detect and mitigate potential cyber-physical attacks on solar PV microgrids. We describe its proof-of-concept implementation using real-world industrial solar farm data provided by the CenterPoint Energy. This study contributes to enhancing the cyber-security and safe operation of solar PVrich power systems, offering a scalable solution to other types of emerging renewable-rich energy distribution systems. © 2024 IEEE.

Background Determining how an image is visually appealing is a complicated and subjective task. This motivates the use of a machine-learning model to evaluate image aesthetics automatically by matching the aesthetics of the general public. Although deep learning methods have successfully learned good visual features from images,correctly assessing the aesthetic quality of an image remains a challenge for deep learning. Methods To address this, we propose a novel multiview convolutional neural network to assess image aesthetics assessment through color composition and space formation(IAACS). Specifically, from different views of an image––including its key color components and their contributions, the image space formation, and the image itself––our network extracts the corresponding features through our proposed feature extraction module(FET) and the Image Net weight-based classification model. Result By fusing the extracted features, our network produces an accurate prediction score distribution for image aesthetics. The experimental results show that we have achieved superior performance.

In the field of automated language processing, distinguishing between Moroccan Arabic (Darija) in multilingual contexts is a major challenge. This study addresses this challenge by exploiting feature selection techniques to improve the accuracy of tongue detection. Using a comprehensive methodology integrating various feature selection methods, including TF-idf, CBOW, Word2Vec for feature extraction, LASSO regression, decision trees for machine learning techniques, and statistical feature selection such as ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and Mutual information, alongside semantic techniques by developing our semantic encoders adapted to Arabic data, we strive to uncover the most important, relevant language features while attenuating the noise. As a result, we have obtained robust results by applying the famous XGBOOST, with conventional extraction methods and SVD as a dimensional reduction method with a very reasonable execution time. Our experimental results highlight the effectiveness of feature selection techniques to reinforce supervised learning tasks. This research not only advances the field of natural language processing but also highlights the central role of feature selection in deciphering complex linguistic landscapes. © Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of computer Applications and Management 2024.

Building health and structural integrity are important to ensure occupant safety and long-term durability. Monitoring and assessing building condition regularly ensures that potential problems are identified early. This research aims to develop and implement a deep-learning (DL) supported tool to examine the concrete surface images collected using digital camera. The data gathering forms the first stage and the chosen DL algorithm is used for feature extraction followed by the feature selection and then fusion is done and finally a fivefold cross verification schema is applied for a binary classification. This work considered the EfficientNetV2 (ENV2) model with variants like small, medium and large for the examination. The investigation is implemented using individual and fused deep-features and the performance of the developed tool is confirmed using the achieved accuracy. The outcome of this research confirms that the proposed tool produces a betterment of >96% accuracy with individual-features and 100% accuracy with fused-features. These results confirm that the proposed scheme provides significant result during the crack detection. © 2023 IEEE.

DC Microgrids are rapidly developing, driven by the increasing integration of renewable sources and dynamic loads. Their growing adoption in critical applications raises the need for operational safety and reliability, particularly under fault conditions. This paper presents a sensor fault-tolerant control (FTC) for DC-DC power converters in DC Microgrids designed to maintain resilient and reliable operation. The proposed FTC leverages a single Switching Unknown Input Observer (SW-UIO) at the bottom control level to estimate arbitrary sensor faults with a high accuracy (0.3% fault estimation error), allowing a real-time identification and precise control reconfiguration to accommodate sensor faults with minimal computational burden. The approach is validated under diverse conditions, including time-varying loads, complete sensor failure, noise abnormality, and simultaneous faults/failure, achieving a consistent fault accommodation of 1μs from fault occurrence to compensation. real-time simulation has been performed in the OPAL-RT environment to assess the efficacy and superiority of the proposed sensor fault tolerant strategy in comparison to reference FTC strategies. © 2013 IEEE.

Improving model robustness against potential modality noise, as an essential step for adapting multimodal models to real-world applications, has received increasing attention among researchers. For Multimodal Sentiment Analysis (MSA), there is also a debate on whether multimodal models are more effective against noisy features than unimodal ones. Stressing on intuitive illustration and in-depth analysis of these concerns, we present Robust-MSA, an interactive platform that visualizes the impact of modality noise as well as simple defence methods to help researchers know better about how their models perform with imperfect real-world data. Due to the rapid propagation characteristic of the Coronavirus(COVID-19)disease,manual diagnostic methods cannot handle the large number of infected individuals to prevent the spread of ***,new automated diagnostic methods have been brought on board,particularly methods based on artificial intelligence using different medical data such as X-ray *** imaging,for example,produces several image types that can be processed and analyzed by machine and deep learning methods.X-ray imaging materials widely exist in most hospitals and health institutes since they are affordable compared to other imaging *** this paper,we propose a novel Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)model(COV2Net)that can detect COVID-19 virus by analyzing the X-ray images of suspected *** model is trained on a dataset containing thousands of X-ray images collected from different *** model was tested and evaluated on an independent *** order to approve the performance of the proposed model,three CNN models namely Mobile-Net,Residential Energy Services Network(Res-Net),and Visual Geometry Group 16(VGG-16)have been implemented using transfer learning *** experiment consists of a multi-label classification task based on X-ray images for normal patients,patients infected by COVID-19 virus and other patients infected with *** proposed model is empowered with Gradient-weighted Class Activation Mapping(Grad-CAM)and Grad-Cam++techniques for a visual explanation and methodology debugging *** finding results show that the proposed model COV2Net outperforms the state-of-the-art methods.
