Planning in the cold rolling is an increasingly important vital aspect in steel industry. In this study, we investigate a cold rolling planning problem derived from a steel company, which is characterized by multi-item considerations with sequence-dependent setups in a single period. To tackle this problem, we introduce a bi-objective modified lot-sizing model, aiming at minimizing both the capacity waste and setup cost. A dedicated multi-objective evolutionary algorithm is proposed to solve this problem. The experiment results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm in achieving near-optimal solutions within a reasonable time, which can facilitate reductions in both production costs and time. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Micro Expression (ME) is the subtle facial expressions that people show when they express their inner feelings. To address the problem that micro-expression recognition is difficult and less accurate due to the small number of samples and uneven distribution of different categories, we propose a model framework to improve the accuracy of micro-expression recognition. The peak frames containing more key expression information in the micro-expression video sequences are extracted; SE-ResNeXt-50, an improved residual network with SE module, is used to extract features from the peak frames of micro-expressions, where the SE module can better learn the key information in the features, and ResNeXt simplifies the structure by replacing the dense structure with the sparse structure through group convolution, which improves the recognition efficiency. The recognition efficiency is improved by replacing the dense structure with the sparse structure by group convolution. At the same time, the Focal Loss loss function can better solve the model performance problem caused by the imbalance of micro-expression data. Simulation experiments are conducted on the micro-expression dataset CASMEⅡ, and it is found that the improved residual network and peak frame improve the accuracy and F1 value of micro-expression recognition. The improved residual network and peak frame can reduce the effect of small data set, make the model have good fitting effect, and improve the performance of different categories, improve the recognition accuracy of micro-expressions, and have better recognition performance for micro-expression recognition.

Segmentation is an important step from image processing to analysis. The thresholding technique based on entropy has become one of the most commonly used techniques in this field. Among the many thresholding techniques based on entropy, the minimum cross-entropy threshold (MCET) has been dramatically developed. The key to multilevel MCET technology is quickly finding the optimal threshold point. MCET is a relatively time-consuming technique, so we use optimization techniques to search for optimal multilevel thresholds. Rafflesia optimization algorithm (ROA) is an optimization algorithm inspired by rafflesia growth theory to solve real-world multi-parameter optimization problems. In this paper, Rafflesia optimization algorithm, particle swarm optimization, gray wolf optimization, whale optimization algorithm, and multi-version optimizer are used to segment six images and the peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR), structural similarity index (SSIM), and feature similarity index (FSIM) as evaluation metrics. Adware represents a pervasive threat in the mobile ecosystem, yet its inherent characteristics have been largely overlooked by previous research. This work takes a crucial step towards demystifying Android adware. We present a comprehensive, well-annotated Android adware dataset AdwareZoo, which comprises 15,996 adware samples across 118 distinct adware families collected from both security reports and app repositories, providing a robust foundation for in-depth analysis and future research. We identify adware family payloads by isolating packages from adware samples for VirusTotal rescanning. Our analysis unveils critical insights into the adware ecosystem, highlighting distinctive patterns in family naming conventions and exposing the unexpected classification of widely-used ad networks as adware. We identify diverse payload location strategies, with a notable finding that over 30% of adware families employ payloads beyond conventional Java/Kotlin code. Furthermore, we reveal several evasion techniques utilized by ad-ware, including package name obfuscation and dynamic payload loading. This research not only offers a robust foundation for understanding and combating adware but also highlights the pressing need for increased scrutiny of mobile advertising practices. © 2024 ACM.
