Due to the limitation of the detector, the spatial resolution of the polarization image obtained by space-modulated full-polarization computed imaging is low. In general, there are a lot of valuable high-frequency components in low resolution space, but it is difficult to reconstruct high frequency information by deep learning method. Through the research of the previous super-resolution reconstruction method based on deep learning, it is found that it is difficult to obtain better lifting effect only by stacking residual blocks to build a deeper network. A polarization imaging bi-attention recursive residual network super-resolution reconstruction method is proposed. In the network structure, bi-attention recursive residual group is used as the deep feature extraction module, and the bi-attention module contained in this module is used to adaptively learn image features of different channels and different transformation Spaces in the deep network. In order to provide the concentrated learning efficiency of high-frequency information, jump connections are introduced into the network structure, and the shallow feature extraction and reconstruction of images are completed by a convolution layer and a sub-pixel convolution algorithm respectively. The experimental verification is carried out under the actual imaging system and simulation data, and compared with other methods in terms of visual effect and quantitative results. Experimental results verify that the proposed method can effectively reconstruct the contour structure and texture details of the detection target in subjective image quality, and is superior to the comparison method in objective evaluation index. © 2023 SPIE.

Diffusion-Weighted Imaging (DWI) is a significant technique for studying white matter. However, it suffers from low-resolution obstacles in clinical settings. Post-acquisition Super-Resolution (SR) can enhance the resolution of DWIs and has gained increasing research interest in recent years. An advanced generative model, the Diffusion Model (DM), exhibits particularly promising performance in image SR. However, effective conditions are required to bootstrap the DM for DWI SR. To this end, we proposed the first DM-based DWI SR model with two effective conditions based on low-solution DWIs and Track Density Imaging (TDI) maps, which possess rich high-resolution prior knowledge Additionally, we consider another condition based on features from low-resolution DWIs. These two conditions are integrated into our model, which comprises three components: DWI Resolution Enhancer (DRE), DWI Feature Extractor (DFE), and TDI Feature Extractor (TFE). DRE combines low-resolution DWI features from DFE with TDI features from TFE to progressively generate high-resolution DWIs. We performed extensive experiments on DWIs of normal subjects from human connectome projects and patients with Parkinson’s disease. The results demonstrate that our model outperforms existing DWI SR models, both qualitatively and quantitatively. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

In this paper, we introduce a simplified long-range (LoRa) backscatter system that enables a lightweight tag to communicate with a remote transceiver using chirp carrier and harmonic backscatter. The key idea is twofold: first, we delegate the chirp waveform generation from the tag to the transceiver, thereby maintaining lightweight tag design;second, we introduce a frequency shift on the tag during its carrier modulation to create harmonic backscatter, thereby mitigating self-interference. To refine the framework, we first detail the system model, including the design for harmonic backscatter. We then present an efficient method to address synchronization and detection issues at the transceiver. Finally, we prototype the proposed system and evaluate its performance. Experimental results demonstrate that in a corridor environment with a carrier power of 0 dBm, the tag can backscatter a signal from the transceiver at a maximum bit rate of 4 kb/s over a distance of 50 meters. © 2024 IEEE.

Urban travel data typically encompass various temporal and spatial scales and features. Nonetheless, existing traffic travel feature analysis often focuses on a single spatial scale, which may overlook crucial information and hinder features at different scales. Consequently, this could reduce the accuracy of travel pattern recognition. To solve this problem, we introduce a multi-scale fusion transformation algorithm. In our approach, we first establish a multi-level taxi travel data grid system. Then, we apply the I-Clique clustering algorithm to perform grid clustering at each level of the system to identify taxi travel feature regions of different scales. Subsequently, a multi-scale fusion pyramid model is constructed utilizing the acquired travel feature regions at various scales. Finally, we determine the transformation relationships between scales in the pyramid model, enabling the identification of travel feature areas across both known and unknown scales. This approach facilitates the recognition of travel features within cities at any scale. Experimental results demonstrate that the multi-scale fusion transformation algorithm enhances our understanding of spatial aggregation patterns and the hierarchical structure of geographical entities, offering a novel approach for multi-scale urban traffic analysis. © 2024 SPIE. Video Character Social Relationship Recognition (VCSRR) requires a comprehensive consideration about spatio-temporal and multi-modal clues in videos. Most existing methods mainly focus on integrating multi-modal clues and modeling interactions among characters. However, they fail to discover key clues in the complex video data or fully understand the clues related to social relationships. In this article, we propose a novel Large Language Model Enhanced key Clues Selection (LEKCS) framework to address the aforementioned issues. The core of LE-KCS is to mine multi-scale key clues from the perspectives of time, space and multi-modality, then transfer the knowledge about social relationships of the Large Language Model to VCSRR for understanding the selected clues. We evaluated LEKCS on the MovieGraphs dataset and the experimental results indicate that our proposed LE-KCS achieves state-of-the-art performance. © 2025 IEEE.

As we all know, there is an unsolved problem for robots to accurately and quickly grasp unknown objects in an unstructured environment. In order to describe the pose information of objects more accurately, a rotational Gaussian encoding method is proposed in this paper. Different from the traditional 2-D Gaussian encoding to represent ground-truth, this method introduces rotation information based on 2-D Gaussian. Grasping is made more accurate and robust by treating the grasp pose as a rotating bounding box in the image plane. In addition, a balanced loss function is introduced in this paper. This loss function not only solves the problem of positive and negative sample imbalance in the traditional cross-entropy loss but also reduces the penalty of points around the Gaussian center location. In this paper, a pixel-level single-stage grasping algorithm is designed in an end-to-end manner without the intermediate process of using anchor points, which saves time and improves the accuracy of grasping simultaneously. Then, the proposed model in this paper is evaluated on two standard datasets, Cornell dataset and Jacquard dataset, achieving 96.8% and 94.7% accuracy, respectively. Finally, we use a 6 DoF UR5e robotic arm for real-world grasping experiments. The success rate of single-object grasping is 94.7% and the time to generate the grasp frame is 8 ms. Experiments demonstrat that the algorithm is equally effective in real-world environments and has a faster detection time. © 2023 IEEE.

Social platforms, while facilitating access to information, have also become saturated with a plethora of fake news, resulting in negative consequences. Automatic multimodal fake news detection is a worthwhile pursuit. Existing multimodal fake news datasets only provide binary labels of real or fake. However, real news is alike, while each fake news is fake in its own way. These datasets fail to reflect the mixed nature of various types of multimodal fake news. To bridge the gap, we construct an attributing multi-granularity multimodal fake news detection dataset AMG, revealing the inherent fake pattern. Furthermore, we propose a multi-granularity clue alignment model MGCA to achieve multimodal fake news detection and attribution. Experimental results demonstrate that AMG is a challenging dataset, and its attribution setting opens up new avenues for future research. © 2025, Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (***). There is a growing trend among retailers to sell fruits through their community group-buying (CGB) channels. Based on real operational data, we employ econometric models to empirically analyze how consumer perception characteristics in CGB affect fruit sales. Our findings suggest that incorporating subjective experiences into product descriptions can positively impact fruit sales for retailers;fresh produce stores outperform regular stores in fruit sales of CGB;Dark-colored fruits sell more than light-colored fruits in the CGB channel. Our study offers valuable insights for retailers selling fruits through CGB channels. © 2024 The Authors.

X-ray prohibited items detection is an effective and crucial measure in various security inspection scenarios. However, the overlapping phenomenon in X-ray images exacerbates the foreground-background class imbalance, and the imaging principle of X-ray images results in missing texture features. To address these challenges, we propose an end-to-end X-ray Prohibited Items Detector (PID-YOLOX) based on YOLOX-Tiny, which offers fast detection speed and high accuracy. Specifically, we introduce the Generalized Label Assignment (GLA) scheme to tackle the foreground-background class imbalance problem, and the Multi-Cardinality Attention (MCA) mechanism to alleviate the issue of missing texture features. Our experimental results show that PID-YOLOX achieves 54.9% average precision (AP) on the PIXray dataset, surpassing YOLOX-Tiny by 2.2% AP. Furthermore, extensive experiments demonstrate that PID-YOLOX is superior to the state-of-the-art methods, indicating its potential applications in the prohibited items detection field. © 2023 IEEE.
