Pyrazine-fused polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons towards efficient multiple-resonance narrowband deep-blue emission

Developing organic multiple-resonance(MR)deep-blue emitters with narrow full widths at half maximum(FWHMs)is crucial for enhancing the color purity of organic light-emitting diodes(OLEDs).However,the exploration of new MR cores remains very limited to ***,redshifting the emission color of MR emitters is also a formidable ***,characterized by its planar and rigid structure,exhibits a strong electronegativity,which may make it a promising candidate for constructing MR emitters with a red shifted emission compared to indolo[3,2,1-jk]carbazole(ICz)-based MR ***,a series of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)with MR characteristics are designed and synthesized by integrating a pyrazine core with various electron-donating segments,which exhibit the narrowband deep-blue emission peaks ranging from 423 to 459 nm with FWHMs<50 nm in *** is demonstrated that increasing donor strength and changing meta-to paraoriented nitrogen atom can induce the bathochromic *** investigations reveal that the non-bonding orbital characteristic of pyrazine suppress the undesired stretching vibration and promote resonance *** optimized deep-blue OLEDs fabricated with the pyrazine-embedded MR emitters demonstrate a high external quantum efficiency(EQE)of 23.5%,and narrowband emission with an electroluminescence peak at 454 nm.

Breast cancer is a serious and high morbidity disease in women,and it is the main cause of cancer death in ***,getting tested and diagnosed early can reduce the risk of *** present,there are clinical examinations,imaging screening and biopsies,among which histopathological examination is the gold ***,the process is complicated and time-consuming,and misdiagnosis may *** paper puts forward a classification framework based on deep learning,introducing multi-attention mechanism,selecting kernel convolution instead of ordinary convolution,and using different weights and combinations to pay attention to the accuracy index and growth rate of the *** addition,we also compared the learning rate *** function can fine-tune the learning rate to achieve good performance,using label softening to reduce the loss error caused by model error recognition in the label,and assigning different category weights in the loss function to balance the positive and negative *** used the BreakHis data set to automatically classify histological images into benign and malignant,four categories and eight *** results showed that the accuracy of binary classifications ranged from 98.23%to 98.83%,and that of multiple classifications ranged from 97.89%to 98.11%.

An Evolutionary Multitasking Algorithm for Efficient Multiobjective Recommendations

Represented by evolutionary algorithms and swarm intelligence algorithms, nature-inspired metaheuristics have been successfully applied to recommender systems and amply demonstrated effectiveness, in particular, for multiobjective recommendation. Owing to the population-based search paradigm, these algorithms can produce a number of recommendation lists, making diverse tradeoffs between multiple metrics and meeting the requirements of accuracy, novelty, diversity, and other user preferences. However, these algorithms are criticized for the low efficiency of the optimization process, especially when the number of users is large. To address this issue, this article proposes an evolutionary multitasking-based recommendation method, where each task corresponds to a user and all the tasks are optimized simultaneously, thus highly improving the efficiency of recommendation. To enhance the convergence speed, all the users are divided into multiple populations according to the similarity between their preferences, where each population evolves with internal knowledge transfer between users, and all the populations evolve with external knowledge transfer between populations. Experimental results on various datasets verify that the proposed method can better balance between multiple metrics than classical and deep neural network-based recommendation methods and exhibits significantly higher efficiency than evolutionary multiobjective optimization-based recommendation methods. © 2024 IEEE. Network topology planning is an essential multi-phase process to build and jointly optimize the multi-layer network topologies in wide-area networks (WANs). Most existing practices target single-phase/layer planning, and are incapable of satisfying all rigorous topological structure constraints (e.g., dual-homing rings) defined by network standards and operators, especially in large-scale networks. These significantly limit their usability and performance in production networks. We consider a general topology planning problem with typical structure constraints over three essential phases (greenfield, reconfiguration, and site expansion) and topological layers (optical, IP, and routing topologies). We present, T3Planner, a novel practical solver to this problem in production. Specifically, we develop a structure-driven encoder based on graph neural network (GNN) for concise structure encoding, and design a new learning framework with optical-centric layer compression/reconstruction and rule-aided reinforcement learning (RL) for fast convergence and high performance. Extensive experiments on nine real topologies demonstrate that T3Planner scales to large optical networks with hundreds of sites, saves 46.6% cost, and supports 3.12x more demand when compared to related existing approaches. © 1983-2012 IEEE.

Kolmogorov-Arnold Networks (KAN) is an emerging neural network architecture in machine learning. It has greatly interested the research community about whether KAN can be a promising alternative to the commonly used Multi-Layer Perceptions (MLP). Experiments in various fields demonstrated that KAN-based machine learning can achieve comparable if not better performance than MLP-based methods, but with much smaller parameter scales and are more explainable. In this paper, we explore the incorporation of KAN into the actor and critic networks for offline reinforcement learning (RL). We evaluated the performance, parameter scales, and training efficiency of various KAN and MLP-based conservative Q-learning (CQL) on the classical D4RL benchmark for offline RL. Our study demonstrates that KAN can achieve performance close to the commonly used MLP with significantly fewer parameters. This allows us to choose the base networks according to the offline RL task requirements. © 2025 IEEE.

A level set model with shape prior constraint for intervertebral disc MRI image segmentation

Accurate intervertebral disc image segmentation is necessary for further treatment. However, existing methods are difficult to segment due to the intensity inhomogeneity of intervertebral disc MRI images and the similarity in intensity between the intervertebral disc and the surrounding regions. This paper proposes a novel level set model by introducing a shape prior constraint for automatic and accurate segmentation. We utilize a detection model and intensity change to obtain rectangle prior information, which is used to define a shape constraint term. Then, combining data and regularizing terms construct an energy function and employ the steepest descent method minimization to get segmentation results. Finally, we apply the proposed new method to segment intervertebral disc images and get promising results. Extensive experiments and comparisons show that our model is more efficient and accurate. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

A novel thermally-stable Ca2GaTaO6:Sm3+ phosphor and its application in WLEDs and anti-counterfeit inks

In this study, a novel Ca2GaTaO6:Sm3+ phosphor was developed using the conventional high-temperature solid-phase method. The phase structure and morphology test results of phosphor indicate that the Ca2GaTaO6 material was successfully synthesized and the Sm3+ ions were successfully doped into the host lattice. When utilizing 406 nm excitation, the Ca2GaTaO6:xSm3+ phosphor has the strongest emission intensity at 599 nm and shows orange-red emission, which is mainly owing to the 4G5/2 → 6H7/2 jump of Sm3+ ions. For the performance of different concentrations of Sm3+ ions, 3 mol% performs the best. At this time, concentration quenching occurs, which is most predominantly induced by dipole–dipole (d–d) interactions. In terms of thermal stability, the Ca2GaTaO6:0.03Sm3+ phosphor shows good properties, with the luminescence intensity at 423 K exhibiting 88.17% of that at 298 K. The white light-emitting diodes (WLEDs) devices prepared using Ca2GaTaO6:0.03Sm3+ phosphor shows warm white light with excellent performance in terms of correlated color temperature and color rendering index (CCT = 3642 K, CRI, Ra = 93.5). In terms of anticounterfeit inks, the Ca2GaTaO6:0.03Sm3+ phosphor also shows good potential. These research results show that Ca2GaTaO6: Sm3+ phosphors have great performance for application in WLEDs and anti-counterfeit inks. © 2024 Chinese Society of Rare Earths

The emergence of van der Waals (vdW) magnets has opened new frontiers for investigation of 2-dimensional magnetism and application of spintronic memories. However, as the system approached the nanoscale, the edge effect significantly enhanced, posing critical challenges in understanding edge-mediated modifications of magnetic behavior, such as the nanoscale magnetic domain. Here, we employ magnetic force microscopy to systematically investigate edge-mediated magnetic domain rearrangement in Fe3GaTe2 flakes. By performing thermal treatment, we observed a distinct transition from labyrinthine to edge-localized stripe domains perpendicular to the flake edges. Furthermore, we reveal a competition and stabilization between size effect and edge effect by investigating thickness-dependent variation in the length of stripe domains and indicate that such an edge effect suppresses the formation of skyrmions. These findings not only elucidate the critical role of the edge effect in governing the domain morphology of vdW magnets but also provide insights for designing edge-mediated nanostructures in next-generation spintronic devices. © 2025 American Chemical Society.

Unexpected texture transition induced by grain growth during static annealing of a dilute Mg-1Al alloy

Conventional rolled Mg-Al alloy sheets typically exhibit strong basal textures that remain and may even strengthen after recrystallization annealing due to the preferential growth of basal-oriented grains,resulting in poor formability at room ***,the knowledge of recrystallization and grain growth is critical for modifying textures of Mg-Al alloy *** static recrystallization and texture evolution in a cold-rolled dilute Mg-1Al(wt.%)alloy during various annealed temperatures ranging from 300℃ to 450℃,have been investigated using the quasi in-situ electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD)*** as-rolled Mg-1Al alloy shows a dominant basal texture,which weakens and broadens in the rolling direction(RD)during the subsequent annealing,accompanied by the formation of{1010}texture ***,the {1010} texture component is more pronounced after annealing at high *** quasi in-situ EBSD results show that recrystallized grains are mainly induced by shear bands,which exhibit a wide spectrum of orientations with c-axis tilt angles ranging 20°-45°from the normal direction(ND).Orientations of shear band-induced recrystallized grains are retained during the entire recrystallization process,resulting in a reduction in the texture ***,recrystallized grains belonging to the {1010}texture component grow preferentially compared to those with other orientations,which is attributed to low energy grain boundaries,especially grain boundaries with∼30°misorientation ***,the high temperature annealing facilitates the rapid growth of grain boundaries having a 30°misorientation angle,leading to the occurrence of distinct {1010} texture after annealing at 450℃ for 1 *** results provide insights for texture modification of rare earth-free low-alloyed Mg alloys by controlling annealing parameters.
