Solid state reaction method is most commonly used to synthesize Sr2MgSi2O7: Eu2+, Dy3+ phosphors. In order to avoid the energy waste caused by high sintering temperature, we systematically studied and optimized the preparation process of Sr2MgSi2O7: Eu2+, Dy3+ long afterglow phosphors by increasing the Si/Sr ratio in the raw materials. The appropriate addition of silica not only facilitates the preparation of single phase Sr2MgSi2O7: Eu2+, Dy3+ phosphor but also enhances the rate of solid state reaction, so as to achieve the purpose of reducing the sintering temperature. The photoluminescence property of Si/Sr=1.3 sample sintered at 1300℃ exhibits a similarity to that of Si/Sr=1 sample sintered at 1400℃, while in terms of the afterglow property, the former demonstrates an enhancement by a factor of 3.5 compared to the latter. Thus, the sintering temperature can be reduced by at least 100℃. Additionally, the electronic structures of the Sr2MgSi2O7 host, the doped luminescence center Eu, the oxygen vacancies and the co-doped activator Dy have been methodically investigated through first-principles calculations. By integrating the findings on the distribution of the dopants and defects levels, we predict and propose the photoluminescence and afterglow mechanisms of Sr2MgSi2O7: Eu2+, Dy3+. The afterglow performance primarily depends on the concentration of electron traps. The calculation results demonstrate that the trap levels that can effectively capture electrons include both oxygen vacancies (VO and VO2+ shallow traps) and Dy 4f levels (deep traps). The increase of Si/Sr ratio can enhance the number of oxygen vacancies and the effective density of Dy3+ ions in the host, thus increasing the number of captured electrons and improving the afterglow performance. These studies suggest an efficient, cheap and energy-saving strategy for the preparation of Sr2MgSi2O7: Eu2+, Dy3+ long afterglow phosphor, and reveal the roles of oxygen vacancies and co-doped Dy in the aftergl

Target detection of aerial images has become a frontier subject of concern in the image processing field. Using existing method to detect and classify large-scale building objects in aerial images, the accuracy is still a little low. This is mainly because the current method does not make full use of the prior information of the target to be detected, so there are too much redundant information in the candidate box. In this paper, our own dataset were built and then utilize the Hough transform to filter out the images that may exist in the sequence image. For images with dense lines or circles, it is possible that there is an artificial building target which will be detected, otherwise it is excluded directly. Besides, this paper exploits significance analysis from the filtered image and then extract the area of interest where the potential target is located. The results of the above-mentioned processing lay a good foundation for the subsequent detection and classification which can help improve the accuracy. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

In recent years, image recognition technology has been widely used in commodity recognition in smart containers and retail shelves. However, as the number of images received by smart terminals is increasing, more and more commodity categories need to be recognized. The image recognition technology adopted by the industry now requires a large number of images, and the modeling time is very long, which cannot meet the requirements for fast and accurate recognition. In this paper, we design and implement a fast-speed image recognition system that can cover all categories of retail commodities to solve the problem. We use DenseNet to strengthen the feature extraction of commodities collected by cameras. At the same time, we utilize a large number of commodity images accumulated in the production system as the primary database to achieve the effect of identifying all categories of commodity. The proposed system can quickly model new commodity images and new packaging of commodities through matching with the database. The experimental results show that the system can overcome the limitation of the number of images and shorten the modeling time. Furthermore, the accuracy rate is not affected in a complex environment.

MBFusion: Multi-modal balanced fusion and multi-task learning for cancer diagnosis and prognosis

Pathological images and molecular omics are important information for predicting diagnosis and prognosis. The two kinds of heterogeneous modal data contain complementary information, and the effective fusion of the two modals can better reveal the complex mechanisms of cancer. However, due to the different representation learning methods, the expression strength of different modals in different tasks varies greatly, so that many multimodal fusions do not achieve the best results. In this paper, MBFusion is proposed, to achieve multiple tasks such as prediction of diagnosis and prognosis through multi-modal balanced fusion. The MBFusion framework uses two kinds of specially constructed graph convolutional network to extract the features of molecular omics data, and uses ResNet to extract the features of pathological image data and retain important deep features by using attention and clustering, which effectively improves both kinds of the features representation, making their expressive ability balanced and comparable. The features of these two modal data are then fused through cross-attention Transformer, and the fused features are used to learn both tasks of cancer subtype classification and survival analysis by using multi-task learning. In this paper, MBFusion and other state of the art methods are compared on two public cancer datasets, and MBFusion shows an improvement of up to 10.1% by three kinds of evaluation metrics. In the ablation experiment, MBFusion explores the contribution of each modal data and each framework module to the performance. Furthermore, the interpretability of MBFusion is explained in detail to show the value of application. © 2024 Elsevier Ltd

In the electrical industry, there are many hazardous gases that pollute the environment and even jeopardize human health, so timely detection and effective control of these hazardous gases is of great significance. In this work, the gas-sensitive properties of Pd-modified g-C3N4 interface for each hazardous gas molecule were investigated from a microscopic viewpoint, taking the hazardous gases (CO, NOx) that may be generated in the power industry as the detection target. Then, the performance of Pd-modifiedg-C3N4 was evaluated for practical applications as a gas sensor material. Novelly, an unconventional means was designed to briefly predict the effect of humidity on the adsorption properties of this sensor material. The final results found that Pd-modified g-C3N4 is most suitable as a potential gas-sensitizing material for NO2 gas sensors, followed by CO. Interestingly, Pd-modified g-C3N4 is less suitable as a potential gas-sensitizing material for NO gas sensors, but has the potential to be used as a NO cleaner (adsorbent). Unconventional simulation explorations of humidity effects show that in practical applications Pd-modified g-C3N4 remains a promising material for gas sensing in specific humidity environments. This work reveals the origin of the excellent properties of Pd-modified g-C3N4 as a gas sensor material and provides new ideas for the detection and treatment of these three hazardous gases. © 2024 Elsevier Ltd

Wavelength-switchable vortex beams based on a polarization-dependent microknot resonator

We experimentally demonstrated a method of generating continuously wavelength-switchable optical vortex beams （OVBs） in an all-fiber laser. A polarization-dependent microknot resonator （MKR） functions as comb filter and accounts for the narrow linewidth （0.018 nm） of multlwavelength channels. The wavelength interval corresponds to the free spectral range of the MKR. We exploit a fused SMF-FMF （single mode fiber-few mode fiber） mode coupler to obtain broadband mode conversion and successfully achieve multiwavelength switchable OVBs. As far as we know, this is the first report about identical multiwavelength vortex beams with topological charges of 4-1. It has been verified that each channel of the vortex beams preserves the same orbital angular momentum （OAM） properties through their dear spiral interferograms. Multiwavelength vortex beams with identical OAM properties are desirable for multiplexing, exchanging, and routing to further improve the capacity of optical fiber transmission.

Preprocessing technology of consuming big data based on user interest with internet of location mining

The current group discovery research mainly uses the communication relationship to mine user groups and fails to make full use of the user social relationships implied in the network, so that the mining groups can not truly reflect the user’s social relations in the social life. In this paper, the consumer big data preprocessing technology based on user interest location mining is proposed. The sequence pattern mining algorithm is used to mine user’s positional regularity sequence, and the position sequence correlation metrics are established. The positional regularity correlation is used to reveal the social relationship of the user’s social activities. Second, this paper combines the local similarity measure method to calculate the user’s communication distance index, which reflects the degree of understanding between users. Finally, using the communication distance index to weight the position correlation to calculate the user group correlation and then use the split clustering algorithm to mine user groups with communication relationship and social relationship. The experimental results showed that this method can effectively mine the communication relevance and position correlation in the user social activities and reflect the user’s group relations in real social activities. © 2018 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.

Urban rail transit (URT) is vulnerable to natural disasters and social emergencies including fire, storm and epidemic (such as COVID-19), and real-time origin-destination (OD) flow prediction provides URT operators with important information to ensure the safety of URT system. However, hindered by the high dimensionality of OD flow and the lack of supportive information reflecting the real-time passenger flow changes, study in this area is at the beginning stage. A novel model consisting of two stages is proposed for OD flow prediction. The first stage predicts the inflows of all stations by Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) in real time, where the dimension is reduced compared with predicting OD flows directly. In the second stage, the notion of separation rate, namely, the proportion of inbound passengers bounding for another station, is estimated. Finally, The OD flow is predicted by multiplying the inflow and separation rate. Experiments based on Hangzhou Metro dataset show the proposed model outperforms the contrast model in weighted mean average error (WMAE) and weighted mean square error (WMSE). Results also suggest that the proposed prediction model performs better on weekdays than on weekends, and with greater accuracy on larger OD flows. © 2000-2011 IEEE.
