Topological materials, which feature robust surface and/or edge states, have now been a research focus in condensed maTher physics. They represent a new class of materials exhibiting nontrivial topological phases,and provide a platform for exploring exotic transport phenomena, such as the quantum anomalous Hall effect and the quantum spin Hall effect. Recently, magnetic topological materials have attracted considerable interests due to the possibility to study the interplay between topological and magnetic *** particular, the quantum anomalous Hall and axion insulator phases can be realized in topological insulators with magnetic order. MnBi2Te4, as the first intrinsic antiferromagnetic topological insulator discovered, allows the examination of existing theoretical predictions; it has been extensively studied, and many new discoveries have been made. Here we review the progress made on MnBi2Te4from both experimental and theoretical aspects. The bulk crystal and magnetic structures are surveyed first, followed by a review of theoretical calculations and experimental probes on the band structure and surface states, and a discussion of various exotic phases that can be realized in MnBi2Te4. The properties of MnBi2Te4thin films and the corresponding transport studies are then reviewed, with an emphasis on the edge state transport. Possible future research directions in this field are also discussed.

Genetic programming hyperheuristic (GPHH) has recently become a promising methodology for large-scale dynamic path planning (LDPP) since it can produce reusable heuristics rather than disposable solutions. However, in this methodology, the extracted local and decentralized heuristic for agents that lack a global systemic view sometimes may be problematic. Therefore, a new challenge is to strike a balance between conciseness to improve generalization ability and incorporation of more global information to obtain better performance. In this work, we target the LDPP problem and propose a communication learning mechanism (ComLGP) for GPHH to address the above difficulties. In ComLGP, a communication function is introduced to serve as a communication protocol and exist in the form of an extra terminal in GPHH. Compared to the classic terminals which are fixed in genetic programing, this communication function undergoes optimization along with the evolutionary process of GPHH. In this way, the communication function can be learned which enables agents to communicate without a predefined communication protocol. Then, a caching and lazy updating mechanism for ComLGP is presented to accelerate the calculation of communication content. Last, we verified our method on 22 scenarios including two real world road networks. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed ComLGP can successfully learn to communicate. Although in the absence of any manually designed communication features, ComLGP is capable of achieving performance competitive to the state-of-the-art method that employs a predefined communication protocol and outperforms the remaining compared methods in most scenarios. © 2020 IEEE.

In order to explore the potential of profit margin improvement,a novel three-scale integrated optimization model of furnace simulation,cyclic scheduling,and supply chain of ethylene plants is proposed and evaluated.A decoupling strategy is proposed for the solution of the three-scale model,which uses our previously proposed reactor scale model for operation optimization and then transfers the obtained results as a parameter table in the joint MILP optimization of plant-supply chain scale for cyclic *** optimization framework simplifies the fundamental mixed-integer nonlinear programming(MINLP)into several sub-models,and improves the interpretability and *** the evaluation of an industrial case,a profit increase at a percentage of 3.25%is attained in optimization compared to the practical *** sensitivity analysis is carried out for strategy evolving study when price policy,supply chain,and production requirement parameters are *** results could provide useful suggestions for petrochemical enterprises on thermal cracking production.

Power systems serve as the fundamental infrastructure for the socioeconomic development of modern societies. Researching power systems can stimulate the growth of the power industry and contribute to the sustainable development of society. This paper aims to address uncertainties prevalent in power systems, including extreme weather events, disruptions in renewable energy supply, and adjustments in economic policies. To achieve this objective, an uncertain Nash equilibrium model is established. Subsequently, a game theoretic analysis is conducted to maximize the interests of users, grid companies, and proxy purchasers. Under the condition of not necessarily continuous differentiability, the Riemann-Stieltjes discrete approximation method has been proposed. The difficulty of calculating the expectation of the optimal revenue function has been resolved. Weak first-order equilibrium condition based on Clarke’s generalized gradient, the convergence and convergence rate of uncertain Nash equilibrium solutions are proved. © 2025, Politechnica university of Bucharest. Recently, with the rapid development of communication technology, location-based services (LBS) in indoor environments have penetrated into various aspects of people’s daily lives. Wireless local area networks (WLAN) have become the preferred choice for location-based services due to their broad deployment and low cost. However, the typical non-line-of-sight characteristics of indoor environments result in severe fluctuations in received signal strength (RSS), signal coverage vulnerabilities can exacerbate environmental interference, making positioning results more vulnerable to attacks or tampering. The layout of indoor network elements is a key factor that constrains signal coverage rate. This paper focuses on the optimization of indoor network element layout, proposes an indoor network element layout optimization model based on signal coverage and quality in indoor environments and introduces an Adaptive Simulation Annealing Non-inertial Opposite Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm (ASA-NRPSO). Firstly, a reverse strategy is introduced into the particle flight process of the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm, and high-quality particles are selected for the next generation iteration. In the selection of the reverse strategy, the simulated annealing idea is integrated to adaptively select the reverse strategy based on the needs of the particles at different stages, which avoids the particles falling into local optima. The inertia term in the particle swarm velocity update formula is replaced with group information for non-inertial updates. This can more fully utilize the global information of the population to guide the movement of the next generation of particles and improve the convergence speed of the particle swarm. The elite mutation strategy is used to increase the diversity of particles and improve the global search capability of the algorithm. This method ensures the rapid generation of network element layout to improve the signal coverage rate

Random forests are classical ensemble algorithms that construct multiple randomized decision trees and aggregate their predictions using naive averaging. Zhou and Feng [51] further propose a deep forest algorithm with multi-layer forests, which outperforms random forests in various tasks. The performance of deep forests is related to three hyperparameters in practice: depth, width, and tree size, but little has been known about its theoretical explanation. This work provides the first upper and lower bounds on the approximation complexity of deep forests concerning the three hyperparameters. Our results confirm the distinctive role of depth, which can exponentially enhance the expressiveness of deep forests compared with width and tree size. Experiments validate these theoretical findings. The detailed proof and code are available in the full version [31]. © 2024 The Authors.

Despite the rapid progress of large language models (LLMs), their task performance remains sensitive to prompt design. Recent studies have explored leveraging the LLM itself as an optimizer to identify optimal prompts that maximize task accuracy. However, when evaluating prompts, such approaches heavily rely on elusive manually annotated gold labels to calculate task accuracy for each candidate prompt, which hinders its generality. To overcome the limitation, this work proposes GLaPE, a gold label-agnostic prompt evaluation method to alleviate dependence on gold labels. GLaPE is composed of two critical aspects: self-consistency evaluation of a single prompt and mutual-consistency refinement across multiple prompts. Experimental results on 8 widely-recognized reasoning tasks demonstrate that GLaPE can produce more effective prompts, achieving performance comparable to those derived from manually annotated gold labels. Analysis shows that GLaPE provides reliable evaluations aligned with accuracy, even in the absence of gold labels. Spatial-Temporal Semantic Feature Interaction Network for Semantic Change Detection in Remote Sensing Images

Semantic Change Detection (SCD) in Remote Sensing Images (RSI) aims to identify changes in the type of Land Cover/Land Use (LCLU) corresponding to changed areas in RSI. The "from-to" information of the acquired image has more profound practical significance than Binary Change Detection (BCD). However, most deep learning-based SCD algorithms do not fully exploit the spatial-temporal information of multi-level features, leading to challenges in extracting LCLU features in complex changing scenes. To address these issues, we propose a Spatial-Temporal Semantic Feature Interaction Network (STS-FINet) to improve the performance of SCD in RSI. The proposed STS-FINet comprises a Multi-Scale Feature Extraction Encoder (MS-FEE), a Transformer-based Multi-Level Feature Interaction module (TML-FI), and a Multi-Level Feature Fusion Decoder (ML-FFD). The MS-FEE extracts deep semantic and differential information from the RSI. The TML-FI is designed to mine the spatial-temporal information by extracting long-range dependencies and spatial information from multi-level features to improve spatial perception. Moreover, Mixed Spatial Reasoning Convolution block (MixSrc) is presented to enrich the spatial information by extracting the multi-scale features, thus improving the model's capability to interpret complex changing scenes. Finally, ML-FFD integrates the multi-level features, resulting in the generation of the semantic change map. The effectiveness of the proposed STS-FINet is verified on two high-resolution RSI datasets. Experimental results show that the proposed STS-FINet achieves better change detection performance than SOTA methods. © 2008-2012 IEEE.
