Formal concept analysis is a key tool in data analysis and knowledge representation and a specific method for granular computing. Object granules constitute the basic granular knowledge in a concept lattice. Three-way decision is a reasonable approach to extracting decision rules. This study employs the principle of three-way decision to divide all the object granules of a formal context into three parts: positive, negative and boundary regions, then two groups of certainty decision rules are extracted from the positive region and the negative region, and one group of possibility decision rules is induced from the boundary region. The notion of attribute reduction keeping the performance of the decision rules unchanged are proposed. An approach for computing attribute reducts is put forward by utilizing the discernibility matrix and discernibility function. Some examples are taken to explain or show the relevant conclusions and prove the feasibility of the reduction method. © 2023 IEEE.

In order to further understand the mechanism of material volume change in the drying process,numerical simulations(considering or neglecting shrinkage)of heat and mass transfer during convective drying of carrot slices under constant and controlled temperature and relative humidity were carried *** results were validated with experimental *** results of the simulation show that the Quadratic model fitted well to the moisture ratio and the material temperature data trend with average relative errors of 5.9%and 8.1%,***,the results of the simulation considering shrinkage show that the moisture and temperature distributions during drying are closer to the experimental data than the results of the simulation disregarding *** material moisture content was significantly related to the shrinkage of dried *** and relative humidity significantly affected the volume shrinkage of carrot *** volume shrinkage increased with the rising of the constant temperature and the decline of relative *** model can be used to provide more information on the dynamics of heat and mass transfer during drying and can also be adapted to other products and dryers devices.

Previous studies have discovered that Transformers pre-trained on large scale datasets have a great advantage over traditional methods and can achieve human-level performance in many NLP tasks. Various encoder-only models like BERT and RoBERTa are used in the researches of the language in the Dark Web and most of them have achieved state-of-the-art performance. However, decoder-only models are not frequently used as they were considered to be unsuitable for NLU tasks until recent advancements in large language models. In this paper, we discuss the application of large scale decoder-only models in NLP tasks of real-world Dark Web research. We explore the capabilities of these models with the most realistic datasets in this specific domain. Surprisingly, results show that decoder-only models can achieve similar or better performance compared with state-of-the-art encoder-only model in some cases and show their own unique advantages in such field. We also discuss the limitations of these models and the challenges associated with their application in such field. Our study unveils the potential of decoder-only models in NLP tasks of real-world Dark Web research. © 2024 IEEE.

With the ongoing advancement of deep learning, modern network intrusion detection systems increasingly favor utilizing deep learning networks to improve their ability to learn traffic characteristics. To address the challenge of obtaining a substantial amount of labeled training data, many intrusion detection systems now focus on unsupervised anomaly detection methods. Despite this shift, researchers still face the daunting task of distinguishing a significant volume of anomalous traffic and dealing with data imbalance. To address these real-world challenges, we introduce UARC, a system capable of achieving unsupervised anomaly traffic detection through multi-clustering. UARC utilizes an enhanced U-shaped autoencoder and a feature fusion method incorporating Masked Retnet to effectively extract spatiotemporal features from network traffic. It combines these techniques with the HDBSCAN algorithm for multi-clustering of traffic, providing a form of reverse guidance for network learning. Experimental results on multiple datasets demonstrate that UARC can cluster various types of traffic with an impressive accuracy rate of up to 97.96%, while achieving a 99.70% AUC value for anomaly detection. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

In Multi-access Edge Computing(MEC),to deal with multiple user equipment(UE)’s task offloading problem of parallel relationships under the multi-constraints,this paper proposes a cooperation partial task offloading method(named CPMM),aiming to reduce UE’s energy and computation consumption,while meeting the task completion delay as much as *** first studies the task offloading of single-UE and then considers the task offloading ofmulti-UE based on single-UE task *** the critical path algorithmto divide the modules into key and non-key *** to some constraints of UE-self when offloading tasks,it gives priority to non-key modules for offloading and uses the evaluation decision method to select some appropriate key modules for *** on fully considering the competition between multiple UEs for communication resources and MEC service resources,CPMM uses the weighted queuing method to alleviate the competition for communication resources and uses the branch decision algorithm to determine the location of module offloading by BS according to the MEC servers’*** achieves its goal by selecting reasonable modules to offload and using the cooperation ofUE,MEC,andCloudCenter to determine the execution location of *** experiments demonstrate that CPMM obtains superior performances in task computation consumption reducing around 6%on average,task completion delay reducing around 5%on average,and better task execution success rate than other similar methods.

For distributed network traffic prediction with data localization and privacy protection, Federated Learning (FL) enables collaborative training without raw data exchange across Base Stations (BSs). Nevertheless, traffic across BSs exhibit inherently heterogeneous trend burst and smooth fluctuation properties, but existing FL methods model single-scale series from only one view, which cannot simultaneously capture diverse trend and fluctuation properties, especially distinct burst distributions. In this paper, we propose Personalized Federated Forecasting with Multi-property Self-fusion (P2FMS), which can represent multi-scale traffic properties from different views. With precise multi-property representations, a fusion-level prediction decision is learned for each client in a personalized manner to promptly sense traffic bursts and improve forecasting performance in non-IID settings. Specifically, P2FMS decomposes the traffic series into distinct time scales, based on which, we effectively extract closeness, period, and trend properties from different views. The closeness and period are embedded through global-view representations with spatial correlations, while non-stationary trends are individually fitted from the client-side view. Furthermore, a personalized combiner is designed to accurately quantify the proportion of general fluctuation raws (i.e., closeness and period) and specific trend property in predictions, which enables multi-property self-fusion for each client to accommodate heterogeneous traffic patterns and enhance prediction accuracy. Besides, an alternant training mechanism is introduced to optimize property representation and fusion modules with the convergence guarantee. Extensive experiments on real-world datasets show that P2FMS outperforms status quo methods in both prediction performance and convergence time. © 2002-2012 IEEE.

Regularized system identification has become the research frontier of system identification in the past *** related core subject is to study the convergence properties of various hyper-parameter estimators as the sample size goes to *** this paper,we consider one commonly used hyper-parameter estimator,the empirical Bayes(EB).Its convergence in distribution has been studied,and the explicit expression of the covariance matrix of its limiting distribution has been ***,what we are truly interested in are factors contained in the covariance matrix of the EB hyper-parameter estimator,and then,the convergence of its covariance matrix to that of its limiting distribution is *** general,the convergence in distribution of a sequence of random variables does not necessarily guarantee the convergence of its covariance ***,the derivation of such convergence is a necessary complement to our theoretical analysis about factors that influence the convergence properties of the EB hyper-parameter *** this paper,we consider the regularized finite impulse response(FIR)model estimation with deterministic inputs,and show that the covariance matrix of the EB hyper-parameter estimator converges to that of its limiting ***,we run numerical simulations to demonstrate the efficacy of ourtheoretical results.

In this paper, an adaptive fuzzy sliding mode controller is designed to regulate the glucose level in type I diabetes, where its estimation is based on Bergman minimum glucose-insulin Model. All the underlying data in this paper was obtained from the UVA/Padova Type I Diabetes Simulator. The study included a cohort of nine diabetic patient from the simulation platform, comprising three adults, three adolescents, and three children. Firstly, simulation conditions were set, and blood glucose data before meals were obtained from nine patients. Subsequently, parameter identification techniques were employed, utilizing the general parameters of the Bergman Minimal Model as a foundation to derive personalized parameters for each patient’s Bergman Minimal Model. Furthermore, in response to the requirements of blood glucose control, we proposed a control strategy combining fuzzy theory and sliding mode control. Considering the individualized parameters among patients, we derived the control strategy of the controller and constructed a SIMULINK simulation system in MATLAB. Through experimentation, we validated the effectiveness of the controller, which effectively controlled blood glucose levels in type I diabetes patients. © 2024 IEEE.

Recently,Siamese-based trackers have achieved excellent performance in object ***,the high speed and deformation of objects in the movement process make tracking ***,we have incorporated cascaded region-proposal-network(RPN)fusion and coordinate attention into Siamese *** proposed network framework consists of three parts:a feature-extraction sub-network,coordinate attention block,and cascaded RPN *** exploit the coordinate attention block,which can embed location information into channel attention,to establish long-term spatial location dependence while maintaining channel ***,the features of different layers are enhanced by the coordinate attention *** then send these features separately into the cascaded RPN for classification and *** to the two classification and regression results,the final position of the target is *** verify the effectiveness of the proposed method,we conducted comprehensive experiments on the OTB100,VOT2016,UAV123,and GOT-10k *** with other state-of-the-art trackers,the proposed tracker achieved good performance and can run at real-time speed.

The thermoregulating function of skin that is capable of maintaining body temperature within a thermostatic state is ***,patients suffering from skin damage are struggling with the surrounding scene and situational ***,we report an interactive self-regulation electronic system by mimicking the human thermos-reception *** skin-inspired self-adaptive system is composed of two highly sensitive thermistors(thermal-response composite materials),and a low-power temperature control unit(Laserinduced graphene array).The biomimetic skin can realize self-adjusting in the range of 35–42℃,which is around physiological *** thermoregulation system also contributed to skin barrier formation and wound *** wound models,the treatment group healed~10%more rapidly compared with the control group,and showed reduced inflammation,thus enhancing skin tissue *** skin-inspired self-adaptive system holds substantial promise for nextgeneration robotic and medical devices.
