Recently revealed beam stealing attacks could greatly threaten the security and privacy of IEEE 802.11ad *** premise to restore normal network service is detecting and locating beam stealing attackers without their *** consistency-based methods are only valid for one single attacker and are *** the viewpoint of image processing,this paper proposes an algorithm to jointly detect and locate multiple beam stealing attackers based on RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indicator)map without the training process involved in deep learning-based ***,an RSSI map is constructed based on interpolating the raw RSSI data for enabling high-resolution localization while reducing monitoring ***,three image processing steps,including edge detection and segmentation,are conducted on the constructed RSSI map to detect and locate multiple attackers without any prior knowledge about the *** evaluate our proposal’s performance,a series of experiments are conducted based on the collected *** results have shown that in typical parameter settings,our algorithm’s positioning error does not exceed 0.41 m with a detection rate no less than 91%.

With the advancement of intelligent media, it is becoming much easier to control and adjust progressed video without leaving any visual snippets of data. Since video pressure is so prevalent in modern accounts, the use of deblocking systems to conceal the video adjusting may be a viable alternative. Modified JPEG (MJPEG) is a well-known video format in which each video outline or wound around the field of an electronicvideo gatheringis squeezed independently as a JPEG image. The change may use strong sight and sound deblocking techniques to cover the video changing follows by isolating the MJPEG video into JPEG picture follows. This research study proposes a novel approach to perceive deblocking, which can consequently learn portrayals that are dependent upon a critical learning structure. Initially Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) is trained based on the available datasets to become familiar with the features of deblocking techniques.. Some parts of the images are eliminated with the RNN by applying a proper assessed sliding-window to review the entire image. In order to secure the final discriminative component, a close-by pooling technique is used to set the created image representation. © 2023 IEEE.

The Equilibrium Optimiser(EO)has been demonstrated to be one of the metaheuristic algorithms that can effectively solve global optimisation *** the paradox between exploration and exploitation operations while enhancing the ability to jump out of the local optimum are two key points to be addressed in EO *** alleviate these limitations,an EO variant named adaptive elite-guided Equilibrium Optimiser(AEEO)is ***,the adaptive elite-guided search mechanism enhances the balance between exploration and *** modified mutualism phase reinforces the information interaction among particles and local optima *** cooperation of these two mechanisms boosts the overall performance of the basic *** AEEO is subjected to competitive experiments with state-of-the-art algorithms and modified algorithms on 23 classical benchmark functions and IEE CEC 2017 function test *** results demonstrate that AEEO outperforms several well-performing EO variants,DE variants,PSO variants,SSA variants,and GWO variants in terms of convergence speed and *** addition,the AEEO algorithm is used for the edge server(ES)placement problem in mobile edge computing(MEC)*** experimental results show that the author’s approach outperforms the representative approaches compared in terms of access latency and deployment cost.

The progression of mobile technologies from first generation (1G) to fifth generation (5G) networks has brought about noteworthy advancement. The present network environment is characterized by the coexistence of various mobile networks and technologies, leading to overlapping or non-overlapping coverage areas, creating a next-generation heterogeneous landscape. Handoffs within the same network (i.e., GSM to GSM or vice versa) are known as horizontal or homogeneous handoffs. Conversely, when handoffs entail a transition to a different network type, such as moving from GSM to CDMA or vice versa, they are categorized as vertical or heterogeneous handoffs. Multiple link triggers, such as link down (LD), link going down (LGD), link detected, and link up, are employed to initiate and execute vertical handoff (VHO) when needed. We have determined the thresholds for vehicular speed and link triggers through extensive simulations, explicitly focusing on high-demand traffic types like video. This paper proposed an enhanced VHO approach based on IEEE 802.21, commonly called media independent handover (MIH), to improve Quality of Service (QoS) parameters, specifically mitigating packet loss (PL), and handoff delay and enhancing the user experience. © 2025 by the authors of this article.

Electrocardiogram (ECG) is an important non-invasive method for diagnosing cardiovascular disease. However, ECG signals are susceptible to noise contamination, such as electrical interference or signal wandering, which reduces diagnostic accuracy. Various ECG denoising methods have been proposed, but most existing methods yield suboptimal performance under very noisy conditions or require several steps during inference, leading to latency during online processing. In this paper, we propose a novel ECG denoising model, namely Mamba-based ECG Enhancer (MECG-E), which leverages the Mamba architecture known for its fast inference and outstanding nonlinear mapping capabilities. Experimental results indicate that MECG-E surpasses several well-known existing models across multiple metrics under different noise conditions. Additionally, MECG-E requires less inference time than state-of-the-art diffusion-based ECG denoisers, demonstrating the model's functionality and efficiency. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper investigates usability aspects of a mobile application aimed at monitoring symptoms of Parkinson's disease (PD) patients. Thirty PD patients collected data through mobile-based questionnaires and activity tasks aimed at measuring motor and non-motor symptoms for a duration of two months. We report the results about usability conducted within this study. A combination of methods consisting of the uMARS questionnaire and interviews with PD patients inform the usability aspects of the mobile application. Results indicate that the app is overall received well and is usable (median uMARS score=4). Interviews reveal usability issues related to the size of textual instructions and buttons, and to the context of use of the app, particularly when the phone is used as a sensor. These findings highlight the need of co-design and preliminary testing when developing apps for PD. © 2024 IEEE.

With the increasing demand for video streaming services, efficient video streaming with MPQUIC in mobile wireless networks is gaining interest. Although MPQUIC can leverage multiple network connections (e.g., Wi-Fi, 5G) for simultaneous transfer, improving bandwidth and resilience, its performance is heavily dependent on the MPQUIC scheduler. In mobile scenarios, network fluctuations challenge the scheduler to adapt to dynamic conditions while maintaining good video streaming quality. Addressing this issue, this paper proposes a novel MPQUIC scheduler named LoGra (i.e., LSTM-DDPG integrated MPQUIC Scheduler) with two advanced features. First, LoGra utilizes Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) to model the temporal correlation of network conditions over time and handle the challenges posed by mobility patterns. Second, it leverages the Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient (DDPG), with its self-learning capabilities and the strength of deep neural networks, to analyze the informative temporal feature vector to influence scheduling decisions. We have implemented the proposed scheduler and compared it to existing ones. The results show that the LoGra scheduler effectively manages multipath communication in heterogeneous wireless networks under mobility scenarios. Moreover, compared to existing schedulers, LoGra achieves significant improvements in data transmission, both in general metrics (loss, goodput) and streaming-related metrics (bitrate, freezing time). © 2024 IEEE.

The daily functioning of civilization depends heavily on transportation. In most cities, a sizable section of the working class consistently attends both employment and education. There are many different things you can do when commuting, such as unwinding, eating out, and other things. The most popular means of transportation in North Cyprus, particularly in developing cities, is island transportation, which includes the usage of both private cars and commercial vehicles. The advent of edge computing, which offers the opportunity to connect potent processing servers next to the mobile device, is a significant step toward improving user experience and reducing resource use. Mobile Edge Computing is the next trustworthy approach for how mobile devices consume communications and computing. Offloading computation is a key component developing mobile edge computing, which enables devices to get around clustering techniques' limitations and get around computing, storage, and energy constraints. However, computation offloading is not always the best strategy to use;making choosing unloading is a critical step that requires consideration of numerous factors. For instance, shifting the high-resource node to an edge server and granting similar capabilities to the low-resource nodes would delegate heavy duties to the external unit inside the network. The evaluations' results were noteworthy and substantial. Problems involving the vehicles of institutions and organizations can be resolved using the suggested solution to the school bus routing issue. We also test the impact of network latency on the delivery of a particular result using an Edge Computing simulator. © 2023,International Journal of Interactive Mobile Technologies. A Low Power, Fully Integrated SiGe BiCMOS Baseband Circuitry for a Direct Conversion CMMB Tuner IC*

A fully integrated analog baseband circuitry for a China mobile multimedia broadcasting (CMMB) direct conversion tuner IC is proposed in this paper. It includes an 8th order Op-Amp-RC channel select filter with 1MHz or 4MHz bandwidth and 71dB stop-band rejection at $1.7f_{-3\text{dB}}$ to meet the stringent Adjacent channel rejection (ACR) specifications and utilizes a novel gain-bandwidth-product extension technique in designing the low power, high speed Operational amplifiers (Op-Amps) for the filter. A current steering type Variable gain amplifier (VGA) is adopted to provide 44dB variable gain range and an on-chip DC offset cancellation (DCOC) circuit is designed to prevent the baseband chain from saturation due to DC offsets. Fabricated in a $0.35\mu\mathrm{m}$ SiGe BiCMOS process, the proposed chip consumes only 6mA from a 3V supply.
