For personalized design it is important to be able to collect, measure and evaluate individual properties of human beings. This paper proposes registration for the point clouds during foot 3D scanning. In the experiment, we get the point clouds of the human foot from the Artec 3D scanner and complete the registration of the point clouds from different visual angles. Dealing with the customized footwear, we choose a novel algorithm, which combines the NARF key point detector and the FPFH descriptor, to improve the efficiency of the initial iteration and reduce the computation burden of matching process. © IFIP International Federation for Information Processing 2018.

In this paper, based on 3d wavelet moments we present a new method called fractal scale descriptors for 3d objects. Just like wavelet moments, they are still robust to translation, rotation and scale, and have the multi-resolution features in the radial direction, which can handle noise to some extent and provide multi-level features to satisfy various requirements. Furthermore the new method is prior to the original 3d wavelet moments in computational complexity by using the fast algorithm of the spherical harmonics together with the Mallat algorithm of the wavelets.

With the fast development of Internet and its data scale, B2B (Business to Business), whose speed and high availability advantage is based on Internet, is eroding more and more market share of traditional business. In recent years, the new data processing technologies, such as cloud computing, assure the enhancement of computer's computing capacity;it has become possible for researchers to process and analyze the massive business data, including large scale customer data, and large scale commodity information. A new B2B platform frame, based on cloud computing with less running time and better response efficiency, is proposed here to promote transaction handle efficiency. By adoption of complex network theory and cloud computing technology, the new platform has been evaluated to decrease transaction handle time, and make more benefits. © 2012 IEEE.

Knowledge Graph Enhanced Large Language Model Editing

Large language models (LLMs) are pivotal in advancing natural language processing (NLP) tasks, yet their efficacy is hampered by inaccuracies and outdated knowledge. Model editing emerges as a promising solution to address these challenges. However, existing editing methods struggle to track and incorporate changes in knowledge associated with edits, which limits the generalization ability of post-edit LLMs in processing edited knowledge. To tackle these problems, we propose a novel model editing method that leverages knowledge graphs for enhancing LLM editing, namely GLAME. Specifically, we first utilize a knowledge graph augmentation module to uncover associated knowledge that has changed due to editing, obtaining its internal representations within LLMs. This approach allows knowledge alterations within LLMs to be reflected through an external graph structure. Subsequently, we design a graph-based knowledge edit module to integrate structured knowledge into the model editing. This ensures that the updated parameters reflect not only the modifications of the edited knowledge but also the changes in other associated knowledge resulting from the editing process. Comprehensive experiments conducted on GPT-J and GPT-2 XL demonstrate that GLAME significantly improves the generalization capabilities of post-edit LLMs in employing edited knowledge. Human conversations of recommendation naturally involve the shift of interests which can align the recommendation actions and conversation process to make accurate recommendations with rich explanations. However, existing conversational recommendation systems (CRS) ignore the advantage of user interest shift in connecting recommendation and conversation, which leads to an ineffective loose coupling structure of CRS. To address this issue, by modeling the recommendation actions as recommendation paths in a knowledge graph (KG), we propose DICR (Dual Imitation for Conversational Recommendation), which designs a dual imitation to explicitly align the recommendation paths and user interest shift paths in a recommendation module and a conversation module, respectively. By exchanging alignment signals, DICR achieves bidirectional promotion between recommendation and conversation modules and generates high-quality responses with accurate recommendations and coherent explanations. Experiments demonstrate that DICR outperforms the state-of-the-art models on recommendation and conversation performance with automatic, human, and novel explainability metrics. © 2022 Association for Computational Linguistics.

Microwave photonic receivers are a promising candidate in breaking the bandwidth limitation of traditional radio-frequency(RF)*** further balance the performance superiority with the requirements regarding size,weight,and power consumption(SWa P),the implementation of integrated microwave photonic microsystems has been considered an upgrade ***,up to now,to the best of our knowledge,chip-scale fully integrated microwave photonic receivers have not been reported due to the limitation of material *** this paper,we report a fully integrated hybrid microwave photonic receiver(FIH-MWPR)obtained by comprising the indium phosphide(In P)laser chip and the monolithic silicon-on-insulator(SOI)photonic circuit into the same substrate based on the low-coupling-loss micro-optics *** from the integration of all optoelectronic components,the packaged FIH-MWPR exhibits a compact volume of 6 cmand low power consumption of 1.2 *** FIH-MWPR supports a wide operation bandwidth from 2 to 18 ***,its RF-link performance to down-convert the RF signals to the intermediate frequency is experimentally characterized by measuring the link gain,the noise figure,and the spurious-free dynamic range metrics across the whole operation frequency ***,we have utilized it as a de-chirp receiver to process the broadband linear frequencymodulated(LFM)radar echo signals at different frequency bands(S-,C-,X-,and Ku-bands)and successfully demonstrated its high-resolution-ranging *** the best of our knowledge,this is the first realization of a chip-scale broadband fully integrated microwave photonic receiver,which is expected to be an important step in demonstrating the feasibility of all-integrated microwave photonic microsystems oriented to miniaturized application scenarios.

To further enhance emergency management skills of an organisation's emergency response personnel, emergency response training, especially 3D emergency drill, is currently becoming more and more important in the petrochemical sector. So, a novel 3D emergency drills system is designed and developed based on ACP approach, which can be used for mocking emergency response plan drills and evaluating the plan. A case study reveals that the performance of the system is good and the system can meet the needs of emergency response training and optimizing emergency response plan in petrochemical plants.

A Comprehensive Survey on Test-Time Adaptation under Distribution Shifts

Machine learning methods strive to acquire a robust model during the training process that can effectively generalize to test samples, even in the presence of distribution shifts. However, these methods often suffer from performance degradation due to unknown test distributions. Test-time adaptation (TTA), an emerging paradigm, has the potential to adapt a pre-trained model to unlabeled data during testing, before making predictions. Recent progress in this paradigm has highlighted the significant benefits of using unlabeled data to train self-adapted models prior to inference. In this survey, we categorize TTA into several distinct groups based on the form of test data, namely, test-time domain adaptation, test-time batch adaptation, and online test-time adaptation. For each category, we provide a comprehensive taxonomy of advanced algorithms and discuss various learning scenarios. Furthermore, we analyze relevant applications of TTA and discuss open challenges and promising areas for future research. Learning-based approaches have shown their great potential to adapt themselves to various environments (e.g., PCC and Sprout). Unfortunately, they do not consistently achieve superior QoS across different network conditions and configurations in mobile networks. Furthermore, although they can offer multiple application objectives by adjusting a preference weight vector, it is challenging for users to accurately express an application objective with a weight vector. In this work, we argue that, if configured correctly, the delay-based TCP scheme can outperform learned ones, and allow users to directly specify their objectives. To this end, we propose Post-QoS Analysis (PQSA), a data-driven framework that trains the key QoS-impacting parameters of the scheme to capture the statistical correlations between QoS objectives, network conditions, and configurations, thereby determining the optimal parameter-set that meets the user-defined QoS objective under different network conditions and configurations. To support this, we enhance conventional delay-based TCP design to develop a Generalized TCP-like Rate controller (GR) by exporting three key parameters. Extensive evaluations show that PQSA-optimized GR outperforms existing schemes in different scenarios consistently, and enables service providers to control the QoS flexibly. © 2023 IEEE.
