This paper is to investigate iterative techniques for solving a constrained convex minimization problem in Hilbert spaces. We propose a hybrid gradient projection method for solving this constrained convex minimization problem. Green communications is the practice of selecting energy efficient communications, networking technologies and products. This process is followed by minimizing resource use whenever possible in all branches of communications. In this day and age, green communication is vital to the footprint we leave on this planet as we move into a completely digital age. One such communication tool is Message Queue Transport Telemetry or MQTT which is an open source publisher/subscriber standard for M2M (Machine to Machine) communication. It is well known for its low energy and bandwidth footprint and thus makes it highly suitable for Green Internet of Things (IoT) messaging situations where power usage is at a premium or in mobile devices such as phones, embedded computers or microcontrollers. It is a perfect tool for the green communication age upon us and more specifically Green IoT. One problem however with the original MQTT protocol is that it is lacking the ability to broadcast geolocation. In today’s age of IoT however, it has become more pertinent to have geolocation as part of the protocol. In this paper, we add geolocation to the MQTT protocol and offer a revised version, which we call MQTTg. We describe the protocol here and show where we are able to embed geolocation successfully. We also offer a glimpse into an Android OS application we are developing for Open Source use. Copyright © 2018, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In this paper, we design an inertial Bregman extragradient-like algorithm with linesearch process for solving two pseudomonotone variational inequalities (VIPs) and the common fixed point problem (CFPP) of a Bregman relatively asymptotically non-expansive mapping and finitely many Bregman relatively nonexpansive mappings in p-uniformly convex and uniformly smooth Banach spaces, which are more general than Hilbert spaces. Under mild conditions, we prove weak convergence of the suggested algorithm to a common solution of two pseudomonotone VIPs and the CFPP. © 2024, Politechnica University of Bucharest. Fixed point problems and pseudomonotone variational inequalities have been studied extensively. An additional assumption "weak sequential continuity" imposed on pseudomonotone operators is used. This paper devotes to construct an iterative algorithm for finding a common point of fixed point problems and pseudomonotone varia-tional inequalities under a weaker assumption than weak sequential continuity imposed on pseudomonotone operators. We present a strongly convergent Halpern-type proximal point algorithm with double inertial effects to find a zero of a maximal monotone operator in Hilbert spaces. The strong convergence results are obtained without on-line rule of the inertial parameters and the iterates. This makes our proof arguments different from what is obtainable in the literature where on-line rule is imposed on a strongly convergent proximal point algorithm with inertial extrapolation. Numerical examples with applications to image restoration and compressed sensing show that our proposed algorithm is useful and has practical advantages over existing ones. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature.

To observe the earth surface and its atmospheric interaction, various advanced optical and radar sensors are utilized. This observation returns a huge amount of optical multidimensional remote sensing images which may be used in multidisciplinary fields. The processing of these images in real time is a challenging task because of their high spatial resolution and complex data structure. At the same time, these images are quite confidential in various applications such as in the military and intelligence sectors. For secretly transmitting the remote sensing images in real time, a real-time cheating immune secret sharing approach is introduced in this paper. The proposed approach minimizes the time as well as space complexity for the secret sharing effectively. It also generates meaningful shares without the restriction for any fixed number participants. Generated shares by the proposed approach are cheating immune. That means they can authenticate themselves if tampered with. In this paper, we present an inertial extragradient algorithm for solving a generalized equilibrium problem with constraints of a split fixed point problem and a variational inequality problem, in which the process exploits the contractiveness of one operator at the upper-level problem and the pseudomonotonicity of another mapping at the lower level. 49K15, 49J15In the present paper, the maximum principle for finite horizon state constrained problems from the book by R. Vinter [Optimal Control, Birkhäuser, Boston, 2000;Theorem 9.3.1] is analyzed via parametric examples. The latter has origin in a recent paper by V. Basco, P. Cannarsa, and H. Frankowska, and resembles the optimal growth problem in mathematical economics. The solution existence of these parametric examples is established by invoking Filippov's existence theorem for Mayer problems. Since the maximum principle is only a necessary condition for local optimal processes, a large amount of additional investigations is needed to obtain a comprehensive synthesis of finitely many processes suspected for being local minimizers. Our analysis not only helps to understand the principle in depth, but also serves as a sample of applying it to meaningful prototypes of economic optimal growth models. Problems with unilateral state constraints have been studied in Part 1 of the paper. Problems with bilateral state constraints are addressed in this Part 2. Copyright © 2019, The Authors. Once a fitness fad, wearable and other related Internet of Things (IoT) devices are fast becoming common place in many different smart city applications such as healthcare. However, IoT devices, particularly inexpensive devices, often trade security and privacy for usability. One solution to protect privacy in the healthcare domain which has begun to be explored is blockchain-based technology. However, there are a number of limitations underpinning the use of blockchain, which limits its adoption particularly in applications that require low energy and computational footprints. In this paper, we present a transactional protocol for remote patient monitoring using directed acyclic graphs. We use a newer blockchain protocol called GHOSTDAG in both a public blockchain and a private blockchain. Our novel proposed solution aims to resolve known security issues for healthcare, without affecting scalability (a feature of classic blockchain architecture). © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2019.
