With the continuing innovation of information and network technologies, on the one hand, social media has gradually become a necessary tool for internal communication within the organization, resulting in great changes in the behavioral patterns of employees;on the other hand, emerging technologies such as blockchain and smart contracts have enlightened many outstanding issues in organizational management, such as opaque data, tamable information and incomplete execution. Responding to the impact of new media on organizational management model, combined with the emerging technologies - blockchain and smart contracts, this paper aims to explore the behavioral management model of employees for trusted data within virtual cyberspace. It is devoted to the description modeling of employees' behavior and the guidance of employees' behavior based on smart contracts. We also validate our proposed method in a real-world scenario, and the experimental results prove our analysis, as well as the effectiveness of our approach. This paper is a basic research in the new application field, and is expected to offer helpful guidance and reference for future research efforts and industrial applications. © 2019 IEEE.

The provenance (tracing) system of agricultural products is important for ensuring food safety. However, the stakeholders (growers, farmers, sellers etc.) are numerous and physically dispersed, making it difficult to manage data and information with a centralized approach. As a result, the production procedure remains non-transparent and trust is hard to build. In this paper, we propose an agricultural provenance system based on techniques of blockchain, which is featured by decentralization, collective maintenance, consensus trust and reliable data, in order to solve the trust crisis in product supply chain. Recorded information includes the management operations (fertilizing, irrigation, etc.) with certain data structure. Applying blockchain techniques to the provenance of agricultural product not only widens the application domain of blockchain, but also supports building a reliable community among different stakeholders around agriculture production. © 2018 IEEE.

Human flesh search(HFS), a Web-enabled crowdsourcing phenomenon, originated in China a decade ago. In this article, we present the first comprehensive empirical analysis of HFS, focusing on the scope of HFS activities, the patterns of HFS crowd collaboration process, and the characteristics of HFS participant networks. A survey of HFS participants was conducted to provide an in-depth understanding of the HFS community and various factors that motivate these participants to contribute. This article also advocates a new stream of Web science and social computing research that will be important in predicting the future growth and use of the World Wide Web.

The privacy issues become a major problem that should be resolved for the existing centralized online social networks, which have prompted researchers to consider the decentralization framework for online social networks. In this paper, we propose a novel decentralized social networking architecture enhanced by blockchain technology. We use a sharding framework to increase the system scalability, a blockchain system to ensure the data integrity and consistency, a reputation-based authority control method to improve the system security. © 2019 IEEE.

Bitcoin is a novel protocol with the potential of enabling a decentralized and trustless cryptographic currency, and its underlying technology named blockchain operates on a worldwide basis via a complex set of rules originally proposed by Nakomoto in 2008. In Bitcoin blockchain, miners provide computational services (i.e. mining) to get profits from the fixed rewards of newly found block and also transaction fees from recording the users' transactions to the blocks. With the decreasing of the fixed new block reward, transaction fees will play the role as the main profit source of miners, thus provide important supports for the sustainability and vitality of the Bitcoin system. Therefore, it is of great necessity to research transaction fees. In this paper, we investigate transaction fees in a queuing game with non-preemptive priority, in which both the miners' mining rewards and the users' time cost are highlighted. Then, we conduct theoretical analysis of the game, getting five types of Nash equilibria of the game. We also find that the over-long waiting time will bring negative marginal profits on transaction fees to some users with low time cost, therefore, they will not be willing to offer transaction fees. © 2018 IEEE.

Taking Ei Compendex (EI) and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) databases as the literature sources, this paper presented a bibliographic analysis of the blockchain-related literature between January 2011 and September 2017. For each literature source, we built a separate dataset. Authors' productivity and collaboration, affiliation of authors and collaboration amongst institutions were analyzed using techniques of social networks analysis on both datasets. According to the results, the CNKI authors/institutes raised their productivity and outperformed the EI authors/institutes since 2016. However, the EI authors/institutes show a higher level than the CNKI authors/institutes in collaboration. We also summarized the hot topics on the EI dataset using textual analysis and discovered researchers have shifted their attention from Bitcoin itself to the blockchain technology underlying it. © 2018 IEEE.

The first issue of IEEE Intelligent Transportation systems Society (ITSS) starts with survey papers on technology and security for intelligent vehicles. The first paper titled 'Intra-Vehicle Networks: A Review' by S. Tuohy, M. Glavin, C. Hughes, E. Jones, M. Trivedi, and L. Kilmartin presents a comprehensive overview of current research on advanced intra-vehicle networks and identifies outstanding research questions for the future. J. Petit and S. E. Shladover's paper, 'Potential Cyberattacks on Automated Vehicles' analyzes the threats on autonomous automated vehicle and cooperative automated vehicle. 'A Video-Analysis-Based Railway-Road System for Detecting Hazard Situations at Level Crossings' by H. Salmane, L. Khoudour, and Y. Ruichek explores the possibility of implementing a smart video surveillance security system that is tuned toward detecting and evaluating abnormal situations induced by users in level crossing. 'Traffic Flow Prediction for Road Transportation Networks with Limited Traffic Data' by A. Abadi, T. Rajabioun, and P. A. Ioannou, uses a dynamic traffic simulator to generate flows in all links using available traffic information, estimated demand, and historical traffic data available from links equipped with sensors. The paper titled 'GNSS Multipath and Jamming Mitigation Using High-Mask-Angle Antennas and Multiple Constellations' studies the optimal antenna mask angle that maximizes the suppression of interference but still maintains the performance of a single constellation with a low-mask-angle antenna.

With the development of the blockchain technology, Bitcoin mining has become more and more popular. This paper aims to provide a three-level framework of the economic issues in Bitcoin mining research, from the levels of mining pools, individual miners and blockchain network. We also offer an overview of relevant research efforts in literature. Considering the uncertainty, diversity and complexity of the Bitcoin ecosystems, we propose a novel research framework based on the ACP theory, which can be used to explore the economic issues in the Bitcoin ecosystems. This paper aims to provide a preliminary investigation to the economic issues faced by participants in the Bitcoin ecosystems, and stimulate the attentions and interests of researchers in this field. © 2018 IEEE.

Heterogeneous individual-based epidemic models via matrix equations

Heterogeneity in human societies plays an important role in epidemic spreading process. Compared to differential equation models, individual-based epidemic models have the advantage of providing a more detailed depiction of realities to capture heterogeneity across a population. However, the higher granularity and resolution of individual-based models come with the cost of increased computational complexities, which result in difficulty in formulating individual-based models usingmathematics. Moreover, a great effort is needed to understand existing individual-based epidemic models that are presented by previous researches. In this paper, we realize the mathematical formulation of heterogeneous individual-based epidemic models by using matrix equations. We employ matrices and vectors to represent individual attributes and behaviors, derive analytical results from the matrix-based representation of individuals, and design algorithms to derivethe computation of individual-based epidemic models. At last, we study the effect of non-pharmaceutical interventions on epidemic outbreaks by using heterogeneous individual-based epidemic models via matrix equations, including contact tracing and workplace closing. A sphere-based list forwarding scheme for multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) relay networks is proposed and analyzed. Firstly, an estimate forwarding(EF) method is proposed, which forwards the minimum mean squared error(MMSE) estimate of the source data to the destination. Since it performs like amplify-and-forward(AF) and decode-and-forward(DF) for the low and high signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) regions, respectively, the EF relay thus outperforms conventional AF and DF across all SNRs without the need for switching algorithms for different SNRs. Because computational complexity is however high for relays with a large number of antennas(large MIMO) and/or high order constellations, list EF for large MIMO relay networks is proposed. It computes a list sphere decoder based MMSE estimate and retains the advantages of the exact EF relay at a negligible performance loss. The proposed list EF could offer a flexible trade-off between the performance and computational complexity.
