—Cyber Movement Organization (CMO) is a special kind of social movement organization on the Web. In this paper, we propose a model to simulate the mobilizing process of CMO, which consists of the individual unit, organization unit, and the mobilizing mechanisms. The mobilizing mechanisms has three sub-mechanisms: the participation mechanism, the choice mechanism, and the inviting mechanism. A dataset of more than two million “human flesh search” related microblogs is used to validate the model. Empirical results show that our model can capture the key features of the real-world mobilizing process.

This paper proposes a novel software framework called KD-ACP. The framework implements the techniques of Artificial Society, computationalexperiments and parallel Execution. KD-ACP provides a systematic and automatic platform for scientists to study the emergency management problems in social computing. It is composed of a series of tools categorized into three parts correspond with the “A”, “C” and “P” respectively. The results from case study show that the most optimal emergency response decisions can be found through the software framework. In the end, the advantages of the KD-ACP and the futures work are summarized in the conclusion.

In this paper, we propose a novel method based on the combination of Named Entity Recognition and Entity Rank algorithm for detecting key entities with significant influence and importance from huge sentiment data collected from Internet. Firstly, we extract entities from the target news websites and forums using a rule-based and CRF combined method. Secondly, we use the Entity Rank algorithm to calculate the hotness of entities extracted from the news and forums data. Finally, we validate the rationality of our algorithm by comparing our hot entities and current affairs. We believe this work will shed new lights on the online public sentiment supervision.
