Design of Ca-type todorokite catalysts with highly active for the selective reduction of NO_(x) by NH_(3) at low temperatures

Ca-type todorokite catalysts were designed and prepared by a simple redox method and applied to the selective reduction of NO_(x) by NH_(3)(NH_(3)-SCR)for the first *** with the Na-type manjiroite prepared by the same method,the todorokite catalysts with different Mn/Ca ratios showed greatly improved catalytic activity for NO_(x) *** them,Mn8Ca4 catalyst exhibited the best NH_(3)-SCR performance,achieving 90%NO_(x) conversion within temperature range of 70-275℃ and having a high sulphur *** to the Na-type manjiroite sample,Ca-type todorokite catalysts possessed an increased size of tunnel,resulting in a larger specific surface *** increased the amounts of Ca doping,the Na content in Ca-type todorokite catalysts significantly decreased,providing larger amounts of Bronsted acid sites for NH_(3) adsorption to produce NH_(4)^(+).The NH_(4)^(+)species were highly active for reaction with NO+O_(2),playing a determining role in NH_(3)-SCR process at low ***,larger amounts of surface adsorbed oxygen contained over the Ca-doping samples than that over Na-type manjiroite,promoting the oxidation of NO and fast SCR *** the Ca-type todorokite catalysts,furthermore,nitrates produced during the flow of NO+O_(2),were more active for reaction with NH_(3) than that over Na-type manjiroite,benefiting the occurrence of NH_(3)-SCR *** study provides novel insights into the design of NH_(3)-SCR catalysts with high performance.

The article demonstrates computational efficiency of the probabilistic approach to knowledge extraction using the FCA. In addition to the result previously proved by the author on sufficiency of a polynomial number of hypotheses (concepts) about the causes of the target property under study, this paper will give a polynomial upper bound on the average running time of the algorithm for generating one concept. The proven result concerns a family of algorithms based on coupling Markov chains for arbitrary formal contexts formed from the positive part of training sets. To get a good estimate for the length of trajectory (before entering to some ergodic state) of such a chain, we had to enrich the representation of the training sample by adding negation for every original binary attribute. © 2023 Copyright for this paper by its authors.

In recent years,organic photocatalyst under visible-light absorption has shown significant potential for solving environmental ***,it is still a great challenge for constructing a highly active organic photocatalyst due to the low separation efficiency of photogenerated ***,an effective and robust photocatalyst perylene-3,4,9,10-tetracarboxylic diamide/boron nitride quantum dots(PDI/BNQDs),consisting of selfassemble PDI withπ–πstacking structure and BNQDs,has been constructed and researched under visible light *** PDI/BNQDs composite gradually increases organic pollutant photodegradation with the loading amount of *** 10 mL of BNQDs solution added(PDI/BNQDs-10),the organic pollutant photodegradation performance reaches a maximum,about 6.16 times higher with methylene blue and 1.68 times higher with ciprofloxacin than that of pure PDI *** enhancement is attributed to improved separation of photogenerated carriers from self-assembled PDI by BNQDs due to their preeminent ability to extract *** work is significant for the supplement of PDI supramolecular composite *** believe that this photocatalytic design is capable of expanding organic semiconductors’potential for their applications in photocatalysis.

Reinforcement Fuzzy Q-Learning Incorporated with Genetic Kinematics Analysis for Self-organizing Holonomic Motion control of Six-Link Stewart Platforms

This paper contributes to the development of reinforcement fuzzy Q-learning incorporated with genetic kinematics analysis for self-organizing holonomic motion control of six-link Stewart platforms. The fuzzy theory is integrated with the Q-learning algorithm to develop a hybrid reinforcement learning strategy. Both the actions and the Q-functions in the classical Q-learning algorithm are inferred by means of fuzzy rules. The proposed hybrid reinforcement learning is then applied to self-organizing holonomic motion control of parallel Stewart platforms for industrial applications. After the kinematics analysis using a geometrical approach and genetic algorithm (GA)-based Newton–Raphson formulation, this study develops a practical control scheme that combines fuzzy Q-learning and proportional–integral–differential (PID) control scheme, called FQPID. In the proposed FQPID holonomic motion control method, the PID control gains are online-tuned via the fuzzy Q-learning computation process. An experimental Stewart platform consisting of six servo motors, adjustable links, and two platforms is constructed to illustrate the effectiveness of the presented methods. The experimental results are compared with some existing control methods using the same evaluation criterion. Through the experimental results and comparative works, the superiority of the proposed FQPID control scheme is presented and discussed. © 2023, The Author(s) under exclusive licence to Taiwan Fuzzy Systems Association.

In order to mitigate the environmental impact of polyethylene terephthalate(PET)plastic pollution and enhance waste resource utilization;we developed a novel Ir-ReO_(x)/SiO_(2)+HZSM-5 catalytic system for the hydrodeoxygenation(HDO)of PET plastic wastes into cycloalkanes;particularly 1;4-dimethylcyclohexane(DMCH).Under mild conditions(190℃;3 MPa H_(2))with a certain amount of water in cyclopentane solvent;the highest yield of DMCH reached 95.8%;contributing to an overall yield of cycloalkanes at 98.4%within a reaction time of 4 h from HDO of virgin *** HDO of PET into DMCH involved initial hydrogenation of PET aromatic ring;then depolymerized by direct hydrogenolysis of acyl C-O bond in the ester group and subsequent cascade HDO of alcoholic C-O bond to saturated ester and alcohol intermediates;and further HDO of these oxygenates converting into desired DMCH *** Ir-ReO_(x)/SiO_(2) catalyst exhibits fully reduced metallic Ir nanoparticles along with partially reduced ReO_(x) species that are highly dispersed on both SiO_(2) surface and Ir nanoparticle *** oxophilic nature of ReO_(x) species facilitates the activation of C-O bonds;the acidic HZSM-5 zeolite for the promotion of dehydration reaction;and the protic property of H_(2)O for the enhancement of hydrogenation PET contributed to highly HDO activity of this ***;the catalytic system is applicable for the HDO of diverse real-world PET plastic wastes including Coca-ColaTM bottles;green Sprite bottles and white and red discarded fiber cloths;generating DMCH with a yield of up to 95.9%and cycloalkanes with a yield of up to 99.5%.This innovative process presents a new avenue for efficient hydrodeoxygenation conversion of PET into easily separable DMCH which serves as a crucial building block for the production of terephthalic acid to realize the chemical recycling of PET plastic wastes towards a green circular economy.

The voltage controller design of grid-forming converters (GFMCs) usually faces high complexity due to the high-order filter and time delay. In this article, we provide a two-time scale-based single-loop voltage controller design method. The proposed method utilizes the advantage of the singular perturbation (SP) theory and efficiently reduces the design complexity. First, we adopt the internal model control (IMC) method and derive the IMC-based GFMC model by combining the GFMC model, the time delay model, and the internal model of voltage reference. Then, the IMC-based GFMC model is decomposed into slow and fast subsystems with reduced orders. The voltage controller design is subsequently realized by the controller design of the two reduced-order subsystems. Detailed modeling and controller design procedures are presented in this article. A numerical design example and simulation verifications are provided to validate the proposed approach. © 2024 IEEE.

An insight on the mechanism of efficient leaching of vanadium from vanadium shale induced by microwave-generated hot spots

Microwave heating can rapidly and uniformly raise the temperature and accelerate the reaction *** this paper,microwave heating was used to improve the acid leaching,and the mechanism was investigated via microscopic morphology analysis and numerical simulation by COMSOL Multiphysics *** effects of the microwave power,leaching temperature,CaF_(2) dosage,H_(2)SO_(4) concentration,and leaching time on the vanadium recovery were investigated.A vanadium recovery of 80.66%is obtained at a microwave power of 550 W,leaching temperature of 95℃,CaF_(2) dosage of 5wt%,H_(2)SO_(4) concentration of 20vol%,and leaching time of 2.5 *** with conventional leaching technology,the vanadium recovery increases by 6.18%,and the leaching time shortens by 79.17%.More obvious pulverization of shale particles and delamination of mica minerals happen in the microwave-assisted leaching *** simulation results show that the temperature of vanadium shales increases with an increase in electric field(E-field).The distributions of E-field and temperature among vanadium shale particles are relatively uniform,except for the higher content at the contact position of the *** analysis results of scaleup experiments and leaching experiments indicate high-temperature hot spots in the process of microwave-assisted leaching,and the local high temperature destroys the mineral structure and accelerates the reaction rate.

Gallium Nitride (GaN) power devices are conducive to the development of high-frequency and high-efficiency of aerospace power supply. However, the inevitable parasitic parameters in the circuit are easy to cause oscillation and lead to the deterioration of circuit reliability. An active clamp forward DC/DC converter with parasitic parameters is proposed, using GaN power device as the main switch to improve the switching frequency and efficiency of the power supply. The main operating modes of the circuit are deduced theoretically, and the topology of the circuit containing three kinds of parasitic inductors is analyzed dynamically by simulation. Finally, according to the simulation results, the optimization measures for the parasitic parameters causing different oscillation problems are proposed. An experimental prototype is designed and experimentally tested, proved the effectiveness of the suppression methods. Promote the high-reliability application of GaN power devices in aerospace power supply. © 2023 IEEE.

Network resilience generally refers to the ability of a network to maintain normal operation in the face of various failures and disturbances, which has many applications in social, financial, communication, and transportation systems. There is a large amount of research on designing strategies to disrupt the network from the perspective of attack and to protect the network from the defense standpoint. However, attacks and defenses in the real world often occur simultaneously and repeatedly. The study of network resilience should not be limited to the structural characteristics but should consider the functional characteristics of the network. We develop a general game-theoretic framework to study attack-defense repeated interactions on complex networks and examine the possibility of achieving precise control over the payoffs of attackers and defenders. Our findings reveal that neither the attacker nor the defender can unilaterally control their own payoff, the opponent’s payoff, or any linear combination thereof. This work highlights the limitations of unilateral payoff control in real-world interaction scenarios, a consideration often overlooked in numerous theoretical studies. © 2024 IEEE.

Chromium transformation driven by iron redox cycling in basalt-derived paddy soil with high geological background values

The flooding and drainage of paddy fields has great effects on the transformation of heavy metals, however, the transformation of Cr in basalt-derived paddy soil with high geological background values was less recognized. The typical basalt-derived paddy soil was incubated under alternating redox conditions. The Cr fractions and the dynamics of Fe/N/S/C were examined. The HCl-extractable Cr increased under anaerobic condition and then decreased during aerobic stage. The UV-vis spectra of the supernatant showed that amounts of colloids were released under anaerobic condition, and then re-aggregated during aerobic phase. The scanning transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) revealed that Fe oxides were reduced and became dispersed during anaerobic stage, whereas Fe(Ⅱ) was oxidized and recrystallized under aerobic condition. Based on these results, a kinetic model was established to further distinguish the relationship between the transformation of Cr and Fe. During anaerobic phase, the reduction of Fe(Ⅲ) oxides not only directly released the structurally bound Cr, but also enhanced the breakdown of soil aggregation and dissolution of organic matter causing indirect mobilization of Cr. During aerobic phase, the oxidation of Fe (Ⅱ) and further recrystallization of newly formed Fe(Ⅲ) oxides might induce the re-aggregation of soil colloids and further incorporation of Cr. In addition,the kinetic model of Cr and Fe transformation was further verified in the pot *** model-based findings demonstrated that the Cr transformation in the basalt-derived paddy soil with high geological background values was highly driven by redox sensitive iron cycling.
