Pretreatment of the carrier for supported catalysts can effectively improve the strong metal-support interaction(SMSI)and increase the dispersion of precious metals,which are critical to many important catalytic *** this work,we tuned SMSI on Pd/TiO_(2)catalysts through inducing surface defects of TiO_(2)by pretreated with different atmospheres(H_(2)/N_(2),N_(2),O_(2)/N_(2))at the high temperature(800℃).Multiple characterization results illustrated that surface defects anchored Pd species and thus enhanced their *** reduction,Ti^(3+)species formed and transferred onto the metallic Pd species and then induced SMSI,which effectively stabilize Pd species in the metallic *** stronger MSI,the more stability of Pd *** a case,Pd/TiO_(2)–800H_(2),with strongest MSI,displayed the best HCHO oxidation performance at low temperature(10℃).

Microseismic(MS)events generated during coal and rock hydraulic fracturing(HF)include wet events caused by fracturing fuid injection,in addition to dry events caused by stress *** mixture of these two events makes efective fracturing MS events pickup *** study is based on physical experiments of diferent coal and rock HF and uniaxial *** diferences of waveform characteristic parameters of various coal and rock ruptures were analyzed using the Hilbert–Huang transform,leading to some useful *** phase characteristics of the acoustic emission(AE)energy difered signifcantly and responded well to the pumping pressure *** AE waveforms of HF exhibit similar energy and frequency distribution characteristics after Empirical mode *** main frequency bands for coal,sandstone,and shale samples are 100–300 kHz,while the mudstone sample is in the range of 50–150 *** decay ratios for coal,sandstone,shale and mudstone samples are 0.78,0.83,0.67 and 0.85,*** compared to the uniaxial compression test,the main frequency bands of HF were reduced for coal,sandstone and mudstone samples,whereas shale remained essentially *** duration,instantaneous energy,and total energy of the HF waveform are smaller than those of uniaxial compression,while the decay ratio is greater,especially for the mudstone *** waveform characteristic parameters,trained using the multilayer perceptron neural network,can efectively identify HF and uniaxial compression events with an accuracy of 96%.

The performance of modern railway transit systems heavily relies on the overhead power system (OPS). However, OPSs built on the ground are vulnerable to foreign objects that can pose a threat to railway safety. In this paper, an improved lightweight detection method called OPS-YOLO, which is based on YOLO-v5, is proposed to detect foreign objects in OPSs. First, the Ghostnet-v2 is improved to compress the lightweight backbone model to slim down the original YOLO-v5 and reduce the complexity and computation. Then, a parameter-free attention mechanism SimAM is introduced to enhance the detection precision of OPS-YOLO. Furthermore, the Focal-EIoU is chosen as the loss function of the OPS-YOLO to improve object border localization precision while accelerating bounding box regression speed. To evaluate the performance of OPS-YOLO, we generate a customized dataset of OPS scenarios by using augmentation methods to expand the existing samples and improve training results. Finally, we extensive experimental tests on the dataset are conducted to verify the proposed method. Results show that the proposed OPS-YOLO improves the mAP by 0.5% compared to the classical YOLO-v5s network. Additionally, OPS-YOLO compresses the model parameters by 37.9% and reduces the model size by 37.5%. It is demonstrated that OPSYOLO can achieve a balance between computational efficiency and detection accuracy, making it suitable for automating OPS supervision and reducing reliance on human inspection. © 2024 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

Power electronic converters are used at both ends of 220 kV alternating current (AC) lines in offshore wind farms, and their fault characteristics are greatly affected by the converters, and there is a risk of incorrect action when traditional distance protection is applied to AC lines of flexible direct current (DC) delivery systems. To address this problem, the low voltage ride-through control strategy of the grid-side converter is introduced, and its influence on the action characteristics of distance protection based on positive sequence voltage polarization is analyzed. On this basis, an improved distance protection method is proposed to adjust the distance protection action range by using the offset angle to ensure the correct action of the distance protection, and the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by the PSCAD/EMTDC simulation test results. © 2024 IEEE.

Project scheduling is essential for enhancing project execution efficiency and success rates through effective time and resource management. This study investigates a manufacturing process involving multiple products, framing it as a multi-project assembly scheduling problem with flexible resources. The primary objective is to minimize both project completion time and average flow time by optimizing project sequences and resource allocation. To achieve this, we develop a comprehensive activity sequence by integrating individual project sequences using two heuristics. A mathematical model is formulated to address these objectives, and an iterative hybrid NSGA-II with Tabu search (HNSGATS) is introduced to enhance decision-making variables. In this algorithm, resources are assigned to available activities upon their completion, with the resource exhibiting the highest availability selected as a substitute to expedite the initiation of subsequent activities. Each iteration explores various neighbourhood structures for project sequences and substitute resources, aiming to identify improved solutions. Comparative experiments demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms existing approaches in achieving optimal results. © The Institution of engineering & Technology 2023.

The development of methods for the efficient treatment and application of food waste digestate is an important research *** via housefly larvae is an efficient way to reduce food waste and achieve its valorization,however,studies on the application and performance of digestate in vermicomposting are *** present study aimed to investigate the feasibility of the co-treatment of food waste and digestate as an additive via *** food waste(RFW)and household food waste(HFW)were selected to assess the effects of waste type on vermicomposting performance and larval *** reduction rates of 50.9%–57.8%were observed in the vermicomposting of food waste mixed with digestate at a ratio of 25%,which were slightly lower than those for treatments without the addition of digestate(62.8%–65.9%).The addition of digestate increased the germination index,with a maximum value of 82%in the RFW treatments with 25%digestate,and decreased the respiration activity,with a minimum value of 30 mg-O_(2)/*** larval productivity of 13.9%in the RFW treatment system with a digestate rate of 25%was lower that without digestate(19.5%).Materials balance shows that larval biomass and metabolic equivalent had decreasing trends as the amount of digestate increased and HFW vermicomposting exhibited lower bioconversion efficiency than that of RFW treatment system regardless of the addition of *** results suggest that mixing digestate at a low ratio(25%)during vermicomposting of foodwaste especially RFW could lead to considerable larval biomass and generate relatively stable residues.

Reducing image artifacts in modern computed tomography is one of the most important directions, which also receives a research boost from the rapid development of artificial intelligence and machine learning. The neural network based methods often allow the achievement of the high artifact reduction quality unattainable by classical approaches. Simultaneously, these models tend to be less robust and generalize worse than algorithmic approaches. The output result may degrade severely under the use in cases not represented in learning datasets. In the present work, the robustness and generalization properties of neural network models are studied in the task of metal-like artifact reduction for computed tomography reconstruction. The pipeline for data augmentation is developed for the metal artifacts severity and geometry variations parameters. The pipeline is validated by augmentation of DICDNet model test dataset and evaluating of the corresponding pre-trained DICDNet model. The generated data consisted of 192000 samples for 12×8 combinations of experiment parameters. It was demonstrated that DICDNet is reasonably robust to geometry variations with a maximum deviation of PSNR≈1.5%. At the same time, even small artifact severity growth leads to rapid quality degradation and blurring of studied model output. The degradation reaches ≈22% PSNR deterioration from the baseline algorithmic approach, which is also one of the inputs for the studied model. Copyright © 2025 SPIE.

Background: In photovoltaic power generation systems, partial shading may cause the PV array to mismatch, thus leading to multi-peak output characteristics, which makes the conventional Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm easily fall into local extremes and cause power loss. Objective: The study aimed to accurately and quickly track the maximum power point of PV arrays in partial shading through swarm intelligence algorithms. Methods: Based on the above, a MPPT control algorithm based on Chaos Adaptive Hunger Games Search with Dynamic Lévy Mutation Strategy (CAHGSL) is proposed in this paper. By introducing an improved logistics chaos map initialization population, a nonlinear adaptive convergence factor and a dynamic Lévy mutation strategy enhance their ability to jump out of local extremes during multi-peak MPPT and improve their tracking speed and efficiency. Results: Under the three working conditions, the tracking efficiency of the MPPT algorithm proposed in this paper has been achieved by more than 99.5% in an average time of 0.152s, which is higher tracking efficiency compared to the PO, PSO, and HGS algorithms. Conclusion: The results show that the MPPT algorithm proposed in this paper can balance the tracking speed and efficiency with less power oscillation during the tracking process, and can ensure stable output after convergence. The method proposed in this paper is helpful to improve the output power of PV arrays under partial shading. © 2023 Bentham science Publishers.
