With the growing maturity of wind power generation technology and policy support, the grid connection of large-scale wind farms has also been gradually paid attention to. In order to ensure high-precision point of common coupling (PCC) voltage control, high power factor and improve system operation stability, wind speed feedforward control and reactive power limiting link are introduced to limit wind speed and voltage fluctuations, and constant voltage control strategy is improved, Combined with constant power factor control, a joint control strategy is proposed to predict the required active power output of the fan, and then determine the dominant factors affecting voltage fluctuation at this time to select different control strategies. STATCOM devices are put into operation to compensate the voltage of the system to further improve the stability of the system. Based on MATLAB/Simulink platform, the compensation effect of joint strategy and STATCOM in different short circuit fault types of multi-terminal wind power system is verified. The simulation results show that the joint control strategy can simultaneously maintain the stability of PCC point voltage and ensure higher power factor of the unit. STATCOM compensation effect is significant, and can effectively improve power quality. © 2023 IEEE.

In robotic applications, electro-hydraulic servo systems are widely used due to their excellent force control characteristics and fast response capabilities. However, they must withstand complex dynamic loads, which places high demands on control performance. To address the issues of poor anti-disturbance capability and low tracking accuracy in traditional electro-hydraulic servo control systems, an improved Active Disturbance Rejection control (ADRC) is proposed. This controller effectively tracks the position, velocity, and acceleration of the input signal, enhancing tracking accuracy, speed, and anti-disturbance performance. Additionally, an adaptive backstepping control algorithm is introduced to simulate the variations in dynamic loads. This algorithm estimates and compensates for unknown and time-varying parameters, offering superior force tracking performance compared to traditional control methods. © 2024 IEEE.

Compaction as a cost-effective strategy to upgrade the disposal of MSWI fly ash:feasibility and potential

Landfilling remains the primary disposal method for fly ash produced from municipal solid waste incineration(MSWI)following stabilization/***,the increasing generation of stabilized fly ash(SFA)is accelerating the depletion of landfill ***,the small particle size and low bulk density of SFA present significant environmental risks during handling and *** mitigate these issues,a cost-effective compaction method was introduced into the SFA disposal *** results show that SFA from both grate furnaces and fluidized bed incinerators exhibited high porosity,loose structure,and irregular particle morphology,indicating substantial potential for *** parameters influencing compaction effectiveness included compaction pressure,holding duration,and moisture content,with optimal values identified as 100–200 MPa,20 s,and 10%–15%moisture,respectively,depending on the incinerator *** compaction treatment,the density of SFA more than doubled,while its volume was reduced by over 60%,significantly increasing landfill capacity and enhancing the efficiency of SFA *** compaction process was effectively modeled using the Huang Peiyun equation for gerate furnace ash and the Heckel equation for fluidized bed ***,the unconfined compressive strength and three-point bending strength of compacted SFA met the MU10 standard for lime-sand bricks,making the material suitable for transportation and ***,the compaction-based disposal method for SFA demonstrated clear techno-economic advantages and significant potential for broader application in waste management strategies.

Multifunctional Composite Material with Efficient Microwave Absorption and Ultra-High Thermal Conductivity

The increasing demands for electronic devices to achieve high miniaturization,functional integration,and wide bandwidth will exacerbate the heat generation and electromagnetic interference,which hinders the further development of electronic ***,both the issues of microwave absorption and heat dissipation of materials need to be addressed ***,a multifunctional composite material is proposed by periodic arrangement of copper pillars in a matrix,based on the wave-absorbing *** a result,the equivalent thermal conductivity of the composite structure is nearly 35 times higher than the wave-absorbing matrix,with the area filling proportion of the thermal conductivity material being 3.14%.Meanwhile,the reflectivity of the composite structure merely changes from-15.05 d B to-13.70 d *** is proved that the designed composite structure possesses both high thermal conduction and strong microwave *** measured results accord well with the simulation results,which demonstrates that the thermal conductivity of the composite structure can reach more than 10 W·m^(-1)·K^(-1)without significant deterioration of the absorption performance.

EGFR and Hippo signaling pathways are involved in organophosphate esters–induced proliferation and migration of triple-negative breast cancer cells

The widespread application of organophosphate flame retardants has led to pervasive exposure to organophosphate esters (OPEs), prompting considerable concerns regarding their potential health risk to humans. Despite hints from previous research about OPEs’ association with breast cancer, their specific effects and underlying mechanisms of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) remain unclear. In this study, we investigated the effects of four representative OPEs on cell proliferation, cell cycle regulation, migration, and the expression of genes and proteins associated with the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and Hippo signaling pathways in TNBC (MDA-MB-231) cells. Our findings revealed that treatment with 1–25 μM triphenyl phosphate (TPHP) and tris(1,3-dichloro-2-propyl) phosphate (TDCIPP) induced TNBC cell proliferation and accelerated cell cycle progression, with upregulation in MYC, CCND1, and BRCA1 mRNA. Moreover, exposure to 1–25 μM TPHP, 10–25 μM TDCIPP, and 1–10 μM tris (2-chloroethyl) phosphate (TCEP) induced MMP2/9 mRNA expression and enhanced migratory capacity, except for 2-ethylhexyl diphenyl phosphate (EHDPP). Mechanistically, four OPEs treatments activated the EGFR-ERK1/2 and EGFR-PI3K/AKT signaling pathways by increasing the transcript of EGFR, ERK1/2, PI3K, and AKT mRNA. OPEs treatment also suppressed the Hippo signaling pathway by inhibiting the expression of MST1 mRNA and phosphorylation of LATS1, leading to the overactivation of YAP1 protein, thereby promoting TNBC cell proliferation and migration. In summary, our study elucidated that activation of the EGFR signaling pathway and suppression of the Hippo signaling pathway contributed to the proliferation, cell cycle dysregulation, and migration of TNBC cells following exposure to OPEs. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2024.

In this paper,sulfonic groups functionalized annealed bio-based carbon microspheres loaded polytetrafluoroethylene(A-BCMSs-SO_(3)H@PTFE)fibers with high activity,high stability,and easy regeneration were successfully fabricated by a simple method using low-cost raw *** characterization results showed that the annealed biomass carbon microspheres derived from waste Camellia oleifera shells were evenly distributed on the polytetrafluoroethylene fibers and the sulfonic groups can be successfully loaded on the surface of annealed biomass carbon microspheres by room temperature ***,the as-prepared A-BCMSs-SO_(3)H@PTFE fibers were applied to the acidcatalyzed synthesis of liquid biofuel *** catalytic experiment results indicated that the annealing temperature and time during catalyst preparation have a significant effect on the activity and selectivity of A-BCMSs-SO_(3)H@PTFE *** results of catalytic reaction kinetics showed that the yield of 5-ethoxymethylfurfural can reach more than 60%after 72 h of acid-catalyzed *** stability test showed that the as-prepared A-BCMSs-SO_(3)H@PTFE fibers still maintained a stable acid catalytic activity after four recycles.

In recent years, tungsten disulfide(WS_(2)) and tungsten selenide(WSe_(2)) have emerged as favorable electrode materials because of their high theoretical capacity, large interlayer spacing, and high chemical activity;nevertheless, they have relatively low electronic conductivity and undergo large volume expansion during cycling, which greatly hinder them in practical applications. These drawbacks are addressed by combining a superior type of carbon material, graphene, with WS_(2) and WSe_(2) to form a WS_(2)/WSe_(2)@graphene *** materials have received considerable attention in electro-chemical energy storage applications such as lithium-ion batteries(LIBs), sodium-ion batteries(SIBs),and supercapacitors. Considering the rapidly growing research enthusiasm on this topic over the past several years, here the recent progress of WS_(2)/WSe_(2)@graphene nanocomposites in electrochemical energy storage applications is summarized. Furthermore, various methods for the synthesis of WS_(2)/WSe_(2)@graphene nanocomposites are reported and the relationships among these methods, nano/microstructures, and electrochemical performance are systematically summarized and discussed. In addition, the challenges and prospects for the future study and application of WS_(2)/WSe_(2)@graphene nanocomposites in electrochemical energy storage applications are proposed.
