Traditional method of defining design and cost scope of project between the client and consultant requires repetitive updates and visualization. However, lack of proper visualization persists during this phase i.e. semi detailed engineering. This results in longer cost blackout periods and weaker cost control leading to less accurate budget scope. Mostly drawings and (sometimes) scaled models are used in getting feedback from client. With the emergence in the visualizationtechnology, it is possible to get immersed in a full-scale interactive virtual environment and experience everything like it is happening in real. This technology has a potential to present things in 'interactive-immersive-physics' enabled environment as a way to assist in cost and design appraisals happening between client and consultant. This paper aims at reviewing potential of 'Immersive visualization' and summarizing the factors that can be controlled using the same in construction projects to improve cost engineering process during semi-detailed engineering phase. The study will provide knowledge base for implementing virtualreality into construction project scope definition. Review, potential best practices alongside inputs from field professionals and experts will be utilized to achieve the objectives of this study.

Attendance is an important part of daily classroom evaluation. This paper develops an automatic attendance system by integrating two deep learning algorithm Faster R-CNN face detection algorithm and Seeta Face face recognition algorithm. The results of numerous experiments indict that:(1) the system can record such five violations of classroom, that is absence, later arrival, early departure, free access, and carelessness for attendance, and give the attendance table which can reflect the learning situation of all students after school.(2) For small classrooms with length of less than 6 meters, 1080P classroom monitoring video can meet the needs of classroom attendance;but for 9 meters of big classrooms, you should use 4 K classroom surveillance video.

Quantitative evaluation in class can effectively improve the quality of classroom teaching, but the automatic evaluation tool is very scarce. In order to be able to carry out large-scale automatic evaluation of teacher-student interaction, this paper first designed a set of indicator system for the classroom interactive evaluation;and then input teacher and student dialogue text from the classroom teaching video;and asked two education evaluation professionals to evaluate the interaction between teachers and students on the same lesson according to the video and text respectively to observe the validity of the interactive evaluation of teachers and students based on the dialogue text. This paper then presented a teacher-student interactive automatic coding technique(SAC) based on dialogue sentences, and constructed a set of classroom-teaching automatic evaluation system(BIAS) for teacher-student interaction. The experimental results show that BIAS not only provides more interactive evaluation function of teachers and students, but also improves the educational evaluation personnel's coding efficiency by 7.3 times compared with the Flanders coding system(FIAS), which is manually coded.

Immersing into virtualreality (VR) is a perception of being physically present in a non-physical world. Using immersive VR in maintenance brings great conveniences. For example, using virtual human operating in hazardous environment before the real person, which can prevent being hurt. In this paper, a system of immersive virtual maintenance (IVM) is presented. It is divided into three parts. The first part is Input, which contains the maintenance task and maintenance design. The second part is Method, with which making the virtual human and the users act in a unified way. The key to build IVM system is the interface between the motion capture system and virtual simulation software. The third part is Output, which presents the maintainability evaluation results. In virtual simulation application, it is often necessary to use Open GL to render large-scale 3D static scenes including urban architectures. Each scene unit generally has individual vertex data and texture. For large-scale data set, it is hard to render all scene units simultaneously. We need to render part of the scene separately, which is called the scene partition and culling. In general, we partition the whole scene into different units on the CPU. We present a scheme that optimize the GPU rendering pipeline to cull the large-scale static scene, which will reduce the CPU suspending time and take full advantage of GPU computing advantages to speed up the rendering efficiency.

Meniscal attachments provide constraint for meniscus and contribute to knee stability. However, the influence of attachments placement on articular mechanical environment remains unclear. The present study aims to characterize the stress deterioration caused by abnormal attachment locations. Different placement of medial meniscal attachments were analyzed with a three-dimensional (3D) finite element (FE) model of knee joint. The articular stress distribution under compressive loadings indicates that abnormal placement of medial meniscal attachments could cause stress deterioration in meniscus and tibia plateau, which may increase the risk of OA. The influence of PMMA relocation was more severe than that of AMMA. The anterior displacement of both AMMA and PMMA could decrease the tibial contact area and therefore weakening the meniscal function of loading transmission. The present study provides an insight into the biomechanical character of meniscal attachments and may help improving the meniscal transplantation in the future.
