At present, there are many excellent genome compression algorithms with high genome compression ratio. However, there is a lack of highly efficient compression algorithms for simultaneous compression of a large number of genomes. This manuscript presents an algorithm, which is called FastLNGC, for simultaneous compression of a large amount of genome data based on multi-thread concurrency. This algorithm is based on the LNGC (Large Number of Genomes Compressor) algorithm, and adopts multi-thread technology to achieve concurrent processing of genome data compression. A large number of experiments show that FastLNGC has better performance on compression of a large number of genes. In this paper, several methods are combined together and applied to a Particle Filter based on Particle Swarm Optimization acoustic source tracking framework in order to solve some problems of sound source tracking. The Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA), which is extracted from the audio signal received by the microphone pair, makes observations. The Langevin Model is used to describe the speaker's motion characteristics. The pseudo-likelihood function is constructed by using the Global Coherence Field (GCF) function to update the particle weight, in order to solve problem of the phenomenon of spurious source due to noise and reverberation. According to the iterative process and particle flight conditions, the inertial weights of the particles are adjusted nonlinearly and dynamically. The concepts of superior flight speed and inferior flight speed are introduced to Particle Swarm Optimization, which helps jump out of local optimum and solves the problem of lack of particle diversity. Thus, the faster tracking of sound source is realized. In the framework, with fewer particles, the robustness of tracking is enhanced and accuracy of tracking is improved. Finally, the effectiveness of this framework for acoustic source tracking is verified through several Monte Carlo simulation experiments.

With the rapid development of modern technology, the Web has become an important platform for users to make friends and acquire information. However, since information on the Web is over-abundant, information filtering becomes a key task for online users to obtain relevant suggestions. As most Websites can be ranked according to users’ rating and preferences, relevance to queries, and recency, how to extract the most relevant item from the over-abundant information is always a key topic for researchers in various fields. In this paper, we adopt tools used to analyze complex networks to evaluate user reputation and item quality. In our proposed accumulative time-based ranking (ATR) algorithm, we incorporate two behavioral weighting factors which are updated when users select or rate items, to reflect the evolution of user reputation and item quality over time. We showed that our algorithm outperforms state-of-the-art ranking algorithms in terms of precision and robustness on empirical datasets from various online retailers and the citation datasets among research publications. intelligent decision-making (IDM) is a cornerstone of artificial intelligence (AI) designed to automate or augment decision processes. Modern IDM paradigms integrate advanced frameworks to enable intelligent agents to make effective and adaptive choices and decompose complex tasks into manageable steps, such as AI agents and high-level reinforcement learning. Recent advances in multimodal foundation-based approaches unify diverse input modalities—such as vision, language, and sensory data—into a cohesive decision-making process. Foundation models (FMs) have become pivotal in science and industry, transforming decision-making and research capabilities. Their large-scale, multimodal data-processing abilities foster adaptability and interdisciplinary breakthroughs across fields such as healthcare, life sciences, and education. This survey examines IDM's evolution, advanced paradigms with FMs and their transformative impact on decision-making across diverse scientific and industrial domains, highlighting the challenges and opportunities in building efficient, adaptive, and ethical decision systems. © 2025 The Authors

Groundbreaking advances in theoretical and applied Artificial Intelligence (AI). DL algorithms are groundedin non-linear and complex artificial neural systems that progressively extract higher-level features from *** is frequently compared with human-level performance in real-world tasks, such as clinical diagnostics. Itis also a turning point in solving otherwise intractable problems in the design of virtual agents or robotics;orin providing novel insight into disease progress in genomics and Neuroimaging (NI), understanding humanbrain function, the automation of industrial processes based on computer vision, and so on. In this paper, themost relevant advances from the last few years in AI and several applications to neuroscience, neuroimaging,computer vision, and robotics are presented, reviewed and discussed. In this way, we summarize the state-ofthe-art in AI methods, models and applications within a collection of works presented at the 9th InternationalConference on the Interplay between Natural and Artificial Computation (IWINAC). In biometrics, face recognition methods are achieving momentum with recent progress in the computer vision(CV). Face recognition is widely used in the identification of an individual's identity. Unfortunately, in recent research work has revealed this face biometrics system is unprotected to spoofing attacks using by very low price instrument such as printed 2D photos attack, 3D masking attack and taking videos using smart devices (reply attack). Therefore, a Liveness Attack Detection (LAD) approach is needed to improve the high-quality security of face recognition system. Most of the earlier worked LAD methods for face anti-spoofing methods have highlight on using the handcrafted features, which are developed by expert knowledge of researcher. As example Gabor filter, Histogram of Oriented Gradients, local ternary pattern, and the Local Binary Pattern. Because of that, the extracted features consider limited factors of the problem, yielding a capture accuracy that is very low and changes with the point of presentation in attack face images. The deep learning method has developed in the computer vision research community, which is proven to be suitable for automatically training. In this article, we approach to mix or combine the handcrafted features and deep neural network features to design the discriminant face spoofing detection. The handcrafted features were based on LBP analysis. We examine the features information from the brightness and the chrominance channels using LBP descriptor. In deep features, we present an approach based on pre-trained convolutional neural network VGG-16 model using static features to recognize video and printed(2D) photo attacks. By attaching this two types of image features on our dataset and public databases, we get good results to identify real and attack images feature, called hybrid features, which has better discrimination ability to understand spoofing image feature.

GRB 221009A is the brightest gamma-ray burst ever detected since the discovery of this kind of energetic explosions. However, an accurate measurement of the prompt emission properties of this burst is very challenging due to its exceptional brightness. With joint observations of Insight-HXMT and GECAM-C, we made an unprecedentedly accurate measurement of the emission during the first ∼1800 s of GRB 221009A, including its precursor, main emission (ME, which dominates the burst in flux), flaring emission and early afterglow, in the hard X-ray to soft gamma-ray band from ∼ 10 keV to ∼ 6 MeV. Based on the GECAM-C unsaturated data of the ME, we measure a record-breaking isotropic equivalent energy (Eiso) of ∼ 1.5 × 1055 erg, which is about eight times the total rest-mass energy of the Sun. The early afterglow data require a significant jet break between 650 s and 1100 s, most likely at ∼ 950 s from the afterglow starting time TAG, which corresponds to a jet opening angle of ∼ 0.7◦ (ηγn)1/8, where n is the ambient medium density in units of cm−3 and ηγ is the ratio between γ-ray energy and afterglow kinetic energy. The beaming-corrected total γ-ray energy Eγ is ∼ 1.15 × 1051 (ηγn)1/4 erg, which is typical for long GRBs. These results suggest that this GRB may have a special central engine, which could launch and collimate a very narrowly beamed jet with an ordinary energy budget, leading to exceptionally luminous gamma-ray radiation per unit solid angle. Alternatively, more GRBs might have such a narrow and bright beam, which are missed by an unfavorable viewing angle or have been detected without distance measurement. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. Due to the inherent uncertainty of data, the problem of predicting partial ranking from pairwise comparison data with ties has attracted increasing interest in recent years. However, in real-world scenarios, different individuals often hold distinct preferences. It might be misleading to merely look at a global partial ranking while ignoring personal diversity. In this paper, instead of learning a global ranking which is agreed with the consensus, we pursue the tie-aware partial ranking from an individualized perspective. Particularly, we formulate a unified framework which not only can be used for individualized partial ranking prediction, but also be helpful for abnormal user selection. This is realized by a variable splitting-based algorithm called iSplitLBI. Specifically, our algorithm generates a sequence of estimations with a regularization path, where both the hyperparameters and model parameters are updated. At each step of the path, the parameters can be decomposed into three orthogonal parts, namely, abnormal signals, personalized signals and random noise. The abnormal signals can serve the purpose of abnormal user selection, while the abnormal signals and personalized signals together are mainly responsible for individual partial ranking prediction. Extensive experiments on simulated and real-world datasets demonstrate that our new approach significantly outperforms state-of-the-art alternatives. For personalized design it is important to be able to collect, measure and evaluate individual properties of human beings. This paper proposes registration for the point clouds during foot 3D scanning. In the experiment, we get the point clouds of the human foot from the Artec 3D scanner and complete the registration of the point clouds from different visual angles. Dealing with the customized footwear, we choose a novel algorithm, which combines the NARF key point detector and the FPFH descriptor, to improve the efficiency of the initial iteration and reduce the computation burden of matching process. © IFIP International Federation for Information Processing 2018.
