Background: The urban plans that consider transport schemes separately weaken sustainability and rationalization of resources. Integrative schemes, from a flow point of view, could bridge this gap, but they rely on large-scale pooling. The Shared Freight-Public Transportation (SFPT) is a sample mode that has been widely discussed recently. It has been noticed that such a system has been often coupled with consolidation networks and light vehicles to deal with the last mile distribution. Contribution: This research is based on an agent-based model to assess the potential impacts of implementing the SFPT. It overcomes the other papers by evaluating the importance of consolidation and/or light vehicles to ensure the well-functioning of the SFPT in urban areas. The evaluation of the SFPT has been based on the total demand covered, the time required to find an empty space in Public Transportation (PT) vehicles, and the number of accidents generated. Results: Based on a case study of the city of Casablanca, the results obtained have shown that the combined use of consolidation and light vehicles remains efficient to improve the performance of the SFPT. From a temporal point of view, it can be concluded that the SFPT is less disruptive and more effective during the time slots 6am-8am, 6pm-10pm and 10pm-6pm. © 2023, Aracne Editrice. A cyclic quenching treatment(CQT)succeeded in turning a 2.3 GPa maraging steel with a Charpy impact energy of 9 J into a new grade with the same strength but a Charpy impact energy of 20 J upon 4 cyclic *** improvement of mechanical properties is attributed to the refinement and increased chemical heterogeneity of the martensitic substructure,rather than the refinement of prior austenite grain(PAG),as well as the Transformation-Induced Plasticity(TRIP)effect facilitated by small austenite *** role of local segregation of Ni during CQT in the formation of Ni-rich austenite grains,Ni-rich martensite laths and Ni-poor martensite laths,was investigated and verified by DICTRA *** study highlights the important influence of Ni partitioning behavior during CQT,providing insights into microstructural evolution and mechanical properties.

Robust intrusion detection for network communication on the Internet of Things: a hybrid machine learning approach

The importance and growth of the Internet of Things (IoT) in computer networks and applications have been increasing. Additionally, many of these applications generate large volumes of data, which are critical and require protection against attacks. Various techniques have been proposed to identify and counteract these threats. In this paper, we offer a hybrid machine learning approach (using the k-nearest neighbors and random forests as supervised classifiers) to enhance the accuracy of intrusion detection systems and minimize the risk of potential attacks. Also, we employ backward elimination and linear discriminant analysis algorithms for feature reduction and to lower computational costs. Following the training phase, when discrepancies arose between the decisions of the classifiers, the ultimate determination was supported by ISO/IEC 27001 regulations. The performance of the proposed model was assessed within a Python programming framework, utilizing the CICIDS 2017, NSL-KDD, and TON-IoT datasets. The outcomes illustrated that the proposed approach attained a noteworthy accuracy of 99.96% in the multi-class classification of CICIDS 2017, 99.37% in the binary classification of the NSL-KDD dataset, and 99.96% in the multi-class classification of TON-IoT dataset. Furthermore, the attack success rate for each dataset stands at 0.05%, 0.24%, and 0% respectively, demonstrating a significant reduction compared to other methods. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

In modern war,radar countermeasure is becoming increasingly fierce,and the enemy jamming time and pattern are changing more *** is challenging for the radar to efficiently identify jamming and obtain precise parameter information,particularly in low signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)*** this paper,an approach to intelligent recognition and complex jamming parameter estimate based on joint time-frequency distribution features is proposed to address this challenging ***,a joint algorithm based on YOLOv5 convolutional neural networks(CNNs)is proposed,which is used to achieve the jamming signal classification and preliminary parameter ***,an accurate jamming key parameters estimation algorithm is constructed by comprehensively utilizing chi-square statistical test,feature region search,position regression,spectrum interpolation,etc.,which realizes the accurate estimation of jamming carrier frequency,relative delay,Doppler frequency shift,and other ***,the approach has improved performance for complex jamming recognition and parameter estimation under low SNR,and the recognition rate can reach 98%under−15 dB SNR,according to simulation and real data verification results.

Fabricating Techniques of Dome-shaped Mold with Sn Reflow

Recently, three-dimensional cell culture methods are focused on the fields of drug discovery and regenerative medicine. In the three-dimensional cell culture methods, cells are incubated to stereoscopic cellular structure (cellular spheroids) and metabolic organs, which are absorption tubes and excretory organs, are formed between cells. The metabolic organs are functional for drug metabolism in the tissue engineering. Conventional three-dimensional cell culture methods are used by nanoimprinted vessel, which are fabricated by a mold tool with Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) processes, i. e. deposition, photolithography, and etching. Accordingly, the nanoimprinted vessels have very simple shapes, which are rectangular prism and cylinder. However, cells are not summarized in the center of the vessels, and the cellular spheroids are not efficiently *** paper represents the fabricating method of dome-shaped vessels for efficient cell culture systems. In the three-dimensional cell culture, the dome-shaped vessels make it easy to collect the cells in the center of the vessels. However, the fabricating dome-shaped vessels are difficult to fabricate with only MEMS processes. To overcome this problem, the semiconductor post-process is applied to the fabricating process of dome-shaped vessels. The solder bump, which is connected between the semiconductor device and the external board, are easily formed to dome-shaped structure by reflow method. The dome-shaped mold tool, which solder bumps are plated on the substrate, is replicated to the resin. © 2023 The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.

Combining the harmony search algorithm (HS) with the local search algorithm (LS) can prevent the HS from falling into a local optimum. However, how LS affects the performance of HS has not yet been studied systematically. Therefore, in this paper, it is first proposed to combine four frequently used LS with HS to obtain several search algorithms (HSLSs). Then, by taking the flexible job-shop scheduling problem (FJSP) as an example and considering decoding times, study how the parameters of HSLSs affect their performance, where the performance is evaluated by the difference rate based on the decoding times. The simulation results mainly show that (I) as the harmony memory size (HMS) gradually increases, the performance of HSLSs first increases rapidly and then tends to remain unchanged, and HMS is not the larger the better;(II) as harmony memory considering rate increases, the performance continues to improve, while the performance of pitch adjusting rate on HSLSs goes to the opposite;Finally, more benchmark instances are also used to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms. The results of this paper have a certain guiding significance on how to choose LS and other parameters to improve HS for solving FJSP. © 2025 – IOS Press. All rights reserved.

The intensification of climate change action has made air conditioners a key target for emission *** study examines the factors influencing residents’willingness to buy(WTB)and willingness to pay(WTP)for green air conditioners across six cities in the Pearl River Delta(PRD)region,aiming to understand consumer behavior and inform targeted market *** a novel Contingent Valuation Method(CVM),this study surveyed 1732 residents through online and face-to-face *** logistic and ordered logistic regression analyses identified key factors affecting WTB and WTP,including gender,income,education,knowledge of green air conditioners,and confidence in their emission reduction ***,the study reveals significant regional disparities in WTP and payment amounts through the Kruskal-Wallis H and Mann-Whitney U *** results also highlight Shenzhen has significant difference and highest payment value than other *** findings provide valuable insights into regional disparities and common factors in green consumption,offering guidance for market strategies and policy development aimed at promoting green air conditioners.
