Normal strengthening methods through precipitations and deformation obviously enhance the strength of metallic materials while resulting in the sacrifice of ductility,and synergistic improvement of strength and ductility is currently an urgent *** we developed a cryogenic deformation combined with an annealing method to fabricate CoCrNiMo_(0.2) medium entropy alloy,which achieved an ultrahigh strength of 1.8 GPa with synergistic improvement in strength and ***,mechanical performance,and strengthening mechanisms of the developed alloys were investigated compared with that prepared by the regular room temperature deformation *** was found that high-density nanotwins were produced in CoCrNiMo_(0.2) MEA via cryogenic *** grains,hard precipitations,and high volume fraction of nanotwins greatly strengthened the alloy,obtaining a yield and ultimate tensile strength of 1400 MPa and 1800 *** improvement of the developed alloy was mainly attributed to the production of deformation nanotwins due to the lower stacking fault energy,which greatly increases the dislocation storage ability,and thus,the ductility of the alloy was enhanced.

The rapid application and development of high-performance carbon fiber composite material brought challenges for the recovery of composite waste. Recycling of carbon fiber composites has been particularly demanded. The bibliometric method combined with S-shaped curves and visualization tools VOSviewer and CiteSpace were applied to quantitatively analyze 5979 research papers related to carbon fiber recycling in the Web of science database from 2000 to 2023. The bibliometric results show that the number of research papers related to carbon fiber recycling has increased from 23 in 2000 to 1247 in 2023. The S-shaped curve of post volume indicates that carbon fiber recovery has great potential for development in the next 20 years. In the global research on carbon fiber recycling technology, China ranks first in terms of publication volume, and the United States ranks second. Both are core countries in the international cooperation network. The evolution of keywords and hotspots indicates that the hotspots in the field of carbon fiber recycling are gradually moving towards "sustainable", and "circular economy". Based on patent analysis, the field of carbon fiber recycling is currently experiencing accelerated growth and will become a hot research topic in the future. There are various recycling technologies for carbon fiber composite materials, with pyrolysis as the mainstream. Mechanical recycling causes significant performance loss, while chemical methods are limited by cost. In the future, recycling technologies will focus on improving fiber performance and reducing environmental impact. © The Author(s) 2025.

Solid-conversion synthesis of three-dimensionally ordered mesoporous ZSM-5 catalysts for the methanol-to-propylene reaction

A facile synthesis of hierarchical ZSM-5 with the three-dimensionally ordered mesoporosity(3DOm ZSM-5)was achieved by solid conversion(SC)of SiO_(2)colloidal crystals to high-crystalline *** products of 3DZ5_S/C and 3DZ5_S,which were severally transformed from the carbon-padded SiO_(2)colloidal crystals and the initial SiO_(2)colloidal crystals,exhibited not only a similar ordered structure and acidity but also higher crystallinity and more balanced meso-/micropore combination in comparison with 3DZ5_C obtained by the conventional confined space crystallization *** three synthesized 3DZ5 catalysts showed improved methanol-to-propylene performance than the commercially microporous ZSM-5(CZ5),embodied in five times longer lifetime,higher propylene selectivity and S_(propylene)/S_(ethylene) ratio(P/E),and superior coke toleration with lower formation rate of coke(R_(coke)).Moreover,the 3DZ5_S catalyst in situ converted from SiO_(2)colloidal crystals presented the highest selectivities of propylene(42.51%)and light olefins(74.6%)among all three 3DZ5 *** high efficiency in synthesis and in situ utilization of SiO_(2)colloidal crystals demonstrate the proposed SC strategy to be more efficiently and eco-friendly for the high-yield production of not only 3DOm ZSM-5 but also other types of hierarchical zeolites.

In the past few decades, Computer-Assisted Education Systems (CAES) have experienced rapid development. These platforms can recommend adaptive learning materials, conduct knowledge tests, offer learning path suggestions, and create personalized study plans for learners. Knowledge tracing (KT) is a fundamental task in the field of artificial intelligence education. It involves the estimation of students' knowledge levels based on the likelihood of their correct responses to questions, allowing the prediction of their future performance. In recent years, it has gained significant attention due to its importance in subsequent tasks such as organizing learning materials. However, previous knowledge tracing models have struggled to simultaneously enhance interpretability and predictive accuracy. In this paper, we propose a knowledge tracing model based on attention mechanisms. This model establishes connections between the current problem and each past question the learner has answered, embedding a simple and interpretable Item Response Theory (IRT) model to capture individual differences between questions. Our extensive experiments, conducted on five benchmark datasets (Statics2011, ASSISTments2009, ASSISTments2015, Algebra06 and Slepemapy), demonstrate significant improvements in our model compared to previous knowledge tracing methods. Further analysis illustrates how our method improves the interpretive aspects of knowledge tracing, signifying its enhanced applicability in practical educational contexts. © 2023 IEEE.

Online learning platforms are widely used in the field of education and are popular for their ability to personalize learning plans based on students' individual needs and learning history. Knowledge tracking is an important task in the field of education, which aims to monitor students' learning progress and knowledge mastery. Traditional knowledge tracking methods mainly track students' knowledge state based on individual historical information, but often ignore the contextual information in the learning process of students, that is, the impact of recent similar learning experiences on the prediction accuracy of students' answers. Therefore, we propose enhanced knowledge tracing for online learning based on attention mechanisms, which can effectively use attention mechanisms to improve the performance of knowledge tracing models. First, we introduce parallel attention mechanism that adjusts its attention to different contextual information to better capture the impact of the latest relevant practices. Secondly, considering the influence of different factors can evaluate students' knowledge status more comprehensively and reduce the bias of single factor. The effectiveness of our proposed method is demonstrated by experiments on four real data sets, and the experimental results show that our method has the best performance. © 2023 IEEE.

Medical image segmentation often relies on fully automated methods, but achieving the necessary accuracy in clinical settings can be challenging. Interactive segmentation methods attempt to improve accuracy by incorporating user input in areas of inaccurate segmentation. However, these methods depend on the user's subjective judgment, without considering the uncertainty in model predictions. To address these issues, we propose an incremental interactive medical image segmentation model guided by uncertainty. First, our proposed model combines medical image segmentation with a Gaussian process (GP), models medical image segmentation as a binary pixel classification problem based on a GP, and guides the selection of the interaction location by the magnitude of the variance value of the GP to reduce the uncertainty of the model prediction. Second, we introduce the sparse variational GP (SVGP), and we propose an incremental SVGP updating paradigm so that the SVGP can incrementally update its parameters by learning only the new interaction data without having to relearn all the old data. In addition, we propose a new induced point selection strategy and combine it with SVGP to reduce the complexity of the Gaussian process for calculating the covariance matrix. We trained and tested our model on the Medical Segmentation Decathlon's three datasets of lung, pancreas, and colon, validating its generalization performance using the ISIC2018, CVC-ClinicDB, and KiTS19 datasets. © 2024 IEEE.

Interactivity is crucial for enabling models to adjust and optimize based on user feedback, thereby enhancing overall performance. However, existing methods for emotion recognition lack interactivity, failing to allow experts to provide feedback for interaction and updating prediction results, thus limiting the improvement of recognition accuracy. To address this problem, we propose a new paradigm for uncertainty-guided incremental interactive emotion recognition based on Gaussian process (GP). This paradigm involves interaction by having experts provide correction labels for samples with high prediction uncertainty, enabling incremental updates. Firstly, we model the emotion recognition task as a GP-based framework, utilizing the variance of GP to quantify the model's uncertainty, thereby guiding experts in targeted interactions. Secondly, within the GP framework, we use an incremental update strategy to optimize prediction results. This method acquires new data through expert interaction, allowing for incremental updates based on new data without reprocessing all existing data. Thirdly, to tackle the computational complexity of inverting the covariance matrix in GP, we use a sparse approximation strategy, selecting inducing points and performing variational inference to efficiently approximate the GP posterior, thereby reducing computational complexity. Our method has been validated through extensive experiments on the DEAP and DREAMER datasets, demonstrating superior recognition performance compared to state-of-the-art methods. © 2024 IEEE.

The clay mineral flocculation encapsulation poses a major technical challenge in the field of fine mineral *** the ability to separate clay minerals from target mineral surfaces is key to addressing this *** the flotation process of ultrafine hematite,sodium polyacrylate(PAAS)was used as a selective flocculant for hematite,polyaluminum chloride(PAC)as a flocculant for kaolinite and chlorite,and sodium oleate(NaOL)as the collector to achieve asynchronous flocculation *** study examines the flotation separation performance and validates it through experiments on actual mineral *** results indicate that with PAAS and PAC dosages of 1.25 and 50 mg·L^(-1),respectively,the iron grade and recovery of the actual mineral samples increased by 9.39%and 7.97%.Through Zeta potential,XPS analysis,infrared spectroscopy,and total organic carbon(TOC)testing,the study reveals the microscopic interaction mechanisms of different flocculants with minerals,providing insights for the clean and efficient utilization of ultrafine mineral resources.
