Amidst the swift progress in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology, the enhancement of navigation precision and robustness is paramount for ensuring flight safety and managing the intricacies of various missions. This research presents a sophisticated, tightly integrated Global Navigation Satellite system (GNSS) and Strapdown Inertial Navigation system (SINS) navigation framework designed to synergize the capabilities of both systems, thereby mitigating their respective shortcomings in adverse environments. By utilizing an Extended Kalman Filter for the real-time calibration of inertial sensor errors, this system markedly enhances the navigation accuracy of UAVs. Our rigorous testing, conducted with genuine flight data, revealed that the integrated system surpasses standalone inertial navigation systems, especially in managing position errors, resulting in a 12.5% enhancement in overall navigation accuracy. This study solidifies the technical foundation for UAV applications and advances the development of future navigation systems. © 2025 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter, commonly known as UART, is a configurable single-bit serial transmit and receive communication interface, which supports various baud rates, optional 5-8 bits of data length, parity check and optional 1-2 bits of stop bit. With the rapid development of MCU in the field of automotive electronics, the MCU that meets the requirements of vehicle regulations should have high reliability and efficient fault detection, and the application of the self-test function in UART can effectively improve the reliability and detection efficiency. The design is based on the self-test function and UART protocol design, using finite machine control timing, allowing the self-test controller to complete the self-test without manual configuration after receiving the self-test signal. The RTL of the UART and the self-test function are developed in Verilog, and the simulation verification is done in NCVerilog. © 2023 IEEE.

A two-stage common source wideband power amplifier with negative feedback network is presented in this paper. The design uses a negative feedback structure to improve the bandwidth and stability, and the matching network is also designed elaborately to meet the broadband requirements. The theoretical analysis of broadband design based on the parasitic effect of transistors is introduced and carried out in details in the paper. The bandwidth expanding technique with negative feedback structure are also analyzed. The dedicated theory analysis method is different from the impedance matrix theoretical wideband analysis in other designs. The proposed power amplifier designed based on a 0.25μm GaN process, has a saturated output power greater than 26dBm in the 8GHz-18GHz wide operating band, a maximum dynamic current of less than 149mA, and has a compact size of 1.7mm×1.1mm. © 2023 IEEE.

Addressing the need for improved GPS accuracy, especially for low-dynamic users, this study introduces a GPS augmentation system employing Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites. We detail the principles of satellite navigation and augmentation and simulate the GPS-LEO constellation to analyse its performance in terms of satellite visibility and Position Dilution of Precision (PDOP). The results demonstrate substantial augmentation in navigation accuracy with the integrated system, as verified by UAV flight experiments. The integration of LEO satellites is anticipated to advance global navigation capabilities, with implications for intelligent transportation, logistics, and precision agriculture. © 2025 Institute of Physics Publishing. Global navigation satellite system plays an important role in military and civil fields, providing global positioning, navigation and timing services in real time. Unfortunately, the services provided by single constellation or double constellations cannot meet the requirements of high-level navigation, and there are still some problems such as low positioning accuracy and low number of visible satellites at specific circumstances to be solved. In this paper, multi-GNSSs are constructed and their global positioning performance is analyzed with respect to static and dynamic users. Results show that with more constellations, the position dilution of precision is decreased, and the number of visible satellites and the positioning accuracy are improved, which reveals that compared with single constellation or double constellations, multi-GNSSs can obviously improve the positioning performance. The methodology proposed can serve as a technical reference for national integrated PNT systems. © 2023 IEEE.
