The evolution of mobile technologies allows the emerging of ubiquitous systems, able to anticipate user needs and to seamlessly adapt to context changes. These systems present the problem of dynamic adaptation in a highly distributed, heterogeneous and volatile environment, since it may be difficult to collect and process context information from distributed unknown sources. In order to facilitate the development of such systems, this paper extends an existing coordination framework based on tuple spaces, aiming at the management of distributed information. Hence, a decentralized coordination framework was created, offering primitives to developers to create ubiquitous systems able to interact and cooperate in scenarios of total decentralization. This paper reports some experimental results obtained in a testbed of smartphones and tablets which demonstrate the practical feasibility of our approach and pointed out how our solution can grant context data dissemination in ad hoc and infrastructured networks.

The problem of overlay mapping with enhanced resilience and QoS is NP-hard and previous heuristics are oblivious to substrate topology information and thus cannot provide effective protection. This is because diversity of the working and backup paths is essential to ensure resilience since a single link failure in the lower layer can result in failures of all the upper-layer links that go through it for applications involving multiple layers. In this paper, a novel and effective heuristic that considers the substrate network topology information is proposed. The effectiveness of the new heuristic is verified through extensive simulations. As confirmed by the evaluation, the proposed heuristic can ensure that physical paths are diversified though additional substrate nodes are involved in the overlay mapping solution. Moreover, the robustness of the proposed heuristic with incomplete substrate network information is also examined.

software requirements are the expectation of stakeholders which are identified and modeled by various requirements elicitation and modeling techniques like traditional methods, goal oriented methods, and unified modeling language (UML), etc. The identified software requirements are broadly classified into functional requirements (FRs) and non-functional requirements (NFRs). Based on our literature review, we found that most of the focus in the area of software engineering is on the analysis of FRs as compared to NFRs. For the successful development of any information system both FRs and NFRs should be considered equally during the elicitation and modeling process;and ignoring NFRs may lead to failure of software. Therefore, to address this issue, we developed a method for the analysis of both FRs and NFRs so that a successful software product can be developed by a software company. In the proposed method, FRs are modeled by UML use-case diagram, class-diagram, and activity diagram. The NFRs are analyzed using NFR-framework;and NFR propagation rules have been derived from the requirements of an information system. In this framework, fuzzy based approach has been used to analyze the contribution links of softgoal interdependency graph. Semantic interoperability is one of the most critical challenges for software developers while integrating two or more context-aware systems. In such circumstances, it is essential to understand the meaning and interpretation of various contexts in different business domains and to align context ontologies together. Our investigations reveal that existing works poorly address these requirements. To fill this gap, this paper proposes the Ontology as a Service (OaaS) approach to facilitate the semantic interoperability of context-aware systems. In the proposed solution, the complexities of semantic interoperability are resolved and handled by a standalone ontology service, which can be easily reused and consumed by different ontology service consumers and brokers. The proposed ontology service includes several ontology repositories, a web service that positions a context concept in the existing ontologies and another web service that maps the relationship between existing context concepts. We evaluated our approach with a case study that resolves three semantic differences between two IoT applications originating from heterogeneous domains of smart home and health environments. © 2023 IEEE.

Security bugs are critical programming errors that can lead to serious vulnerabilities in software. Examining their behaviour and characteristics within a software ecosystem can provide the research community with data regarding their evolution, persistence and others. We present a dataset that we produced by applying static analysis to the Maven Central Repository (approximately 265GB of data) in order to detect potential security bugs. For our analysis we used FindBugs, a tool that examines Java bytecode to detect numerous types of bugs. The dataset contains the metrics' results that FindBugs reports for every project version (a JAR) included in the ecosystem. For every version in our data repository, we also store specific metadata, such as the JAR's size, its dependencies and others. Our dataset can be used to produce interesting research results involving security bugs, as we show in specific examples. © 2014 IEEE.

The delegating private quantum computation(DQC)protocol with the universal quantum gate set{X,Z,H,P,R,CNOT}was firstly proposed by Broadbent et al.[Broadbent(2015)],and then Tan et al.[Tan and Zhou(2017)]tried to put forward a half-blind DQC protocol(HDQC)with another universal set{H,P,CNOT,T}.However,the decryption circuit of Toffoli gate(i.e.T)is a little redundant,and Tan et al.’s protocol[Tan and Zhou(2017)]exists the information *** addition,both of these two protocols just focus on the blindness of data(*** client’s input and output),but do not consider the blindness of computation(*** delegated quantum operation).For solving these problems,we propose a full-blind DQC protocol(FDQC)with quantum gate set{H,P,CNOT,T},where the desirable delegated quantum operation,one of{H,P,CNOT,T},is replaced by a fixed sequence(H,P,CZ,CNOT,T)to make the computation blind,and the decryption circuit of Toffoli gate is also *** shows that our protocol can not only correctly perform any delegated quantum computation,but also holds the characteristics of data blindness and computation blindness.

In this paper, the caching concept is applied to the calculation of channel information for equalisation in a wireless communication system. The concept has been evaluated using a real-time time-reversal space-time block coding implementation, and in particular was applied to complex time varying channel estimates captured from this system. The evaluation was performed with channels under three distance conditions in an indoor, relatively scattering office environment at a carrier frequency of 2.45GHz. Since the time reversal system employed two transmitters spaced 50cm apart and a single receiver, there are two complex channels available for each capture instant Data rate was 2Mbits per second and operated at an oversampling ratio of 5:1. Various replacement policies were tested within the caching system for a range of cache sizes, and mean-squared error matching criteria, to produce results exploring the effectiveness of the system under the evaluation conditions. Results indicate that the method is particularly applicable where decode processing complexity is to be minimised for reasons of average power consumption, such in battery powered systems, or where non real-time decode processing is acceptable, such as in IP transport systems.

Most modern microprocessors have one or two levels of on-chip caches to make things run faster,but this is not always the *** of the time,these caches are made of static random access memory *** take up a lot of space on the chip and use a lot of electricity.A lot of the time,low power is more important than several *** is true for phones and *** memory design for single bit architecture consists of six transistors static random access memory cell,a circuit of write driver,and sense amplifiers(such as voltage differential sense amplifier,current differential sense amplifier,charge transfer differential sense amplifier,voltage latch sense amplifier,and current latch sense amplifier,all of which are compared on different resistance values in terms of a number of transistors,delay in sensing and consumption of *** conclusion arises that single bit six transistor static random access memory cell voltage differential sense amplifier architecture consumes 11.34μW of power which shows that power is reduced up to 83%,77.75%reduction in the case of the current differential sense amplifier,39.62%in case of charge transfer differential sense amplifier and 50%in case of voltage latch sense amplifier when compared to existing latch sense amplifier ***,power reduction techniques are applied over different blocks of cache memory architecture to optimize *** single-bit six transistors static random access memory cell with forced tack technique and voltage differential sense amplifier with dual sleep technique consumes 8.078μW of power,i.e.,reduce 28%more power that makes single bit six transistor static random access memory cell with forced tack technique and voltage differential sense amplifier with dual sleep technique more energy efficient.

Informal specifications are commonly adopted for requirements engineering(RE), especially for customer-oriented system development projects, but their validity with respect to the user's requirements is usually difficult to perform. The common reason for the difficulty is that the specifications are often misinterpreted by the stakeholders due to the ambiguity of the natural language. This paper describes a procedure in transforming the informal specification into specification visual specification. The transformation procedure is developed based on the extended version of software visualization taxonomy. The underlying software visualization specification principle is called Requirement engineering(specification) for Human Factor validation(REsHFv). The framework is devoted to human factor involvement in validating the informal specification using software visualization as interaction medium.
