This work is dedicated to the issue of constructing secure information systems, which form the foundation of any industrial and technological platform within the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0). It addresses and solves the task of identifying weak elements in such systems at the design stage by leveraging accumulated data regarding vulnerabilities from the National Vulnerability Database (NVD). It reviews existing literature on the analysis of NVD content, highlighting a lack of suitable solutions. To tackle this issue, the paper proposes a method based on linguistic and statistical processing of vulnerability descriptions. This method includes several steps: downloading NVD vulnerabilities for each code, consolidating these vulnerabilities into a unified structure and preprocessing them, extracting descriptions and measures of their impact on information security threats (breaches of confidentiality, integrity, and availability), breaking down the descriptions into constituent elements of information systems and their post-processing, collecting statistics on word occurrence in descriptions and their impact on breaches, generating a top list of the most vulnerable elements, and saving the final results. A programmatic prototype implementation of the method (in Python) is described. An experiment is conducted to compile a Top-20 list of the most vulnerable elements of information systems, both in general and in terms of their impact on all three information security threats. The paper analyzes the four resulting lists, discusses the limitations of the conducted research and results, provides justifications, and indicates ways to overcome these limitations. © 2024 IEEE.

Agile development aims at rapidly developing software while embracing the continuous evolution of user requirements along the whole development *** stories are the primary means of requirements collection and elicitation in the agile development.A project can involve a large amount of user stories,which should be clustered into different groups based on their functionality’s similarity for systematic requirements analysis,effective mapping to developed features,and efficient ***,the current user story clustering is mainly conducted in a manual manner,which is time-consuming and subjective to human *** this paper,we propose a novel approach for clustering the user stories automatically on the basis of natural language ***,the sentence patterns of each component in a user story are first analysed and determined such that the critical structure in the representative tasks can be automatically extracted based on the user story *** similarity of user stories is calculated,which can be used to generate the connected graph as the basis of automatic user story *** evaluate the approach based on thirteen datasets,compared against ten baseline *** results show that our clustering approach has higher accuracy,recall rate and F1-score than these *** is demonstrated that the proposed approach can significantly improve the efficacy of user story clustering and thus enhance the overall performance of agile *** study also highlights promising research directions for more accurate requirements elicitation.

Genetic algorithms are widely used for solving optimization problems. As the search space of the problem is augmented, the probability of falling into local minima will be augmented as well. Previous works showed that the adjusted phase (i.e. required modification per generation), may enhance badly the optimality reaching. Moreover, the search for suitable probabilities on crossover and mutation results in huge computational complexity. Recent developments in quantum technology have shown that quantum computers can provide a dramatic advantage over classical computers. This paper will be oriented toward computer scientists interested in the quantum genetic algorithm (QGA). Therefore, we will present a discussion, of the pros, and cons of classical GA. We survey the 'state of the art' of the most known techniques for evolving evolutionary algorithms and quantum computing. We intend in this work to help researchers and application developers in gaining insights into the power of quantum computing mechanisms. This science can inherently treat the balance between exploration and exploitation of the search space. This property is due to the use of Q-bits. The orientation toward the best solution is due to the use of Q-gates. © 2023 IEEE.

This article aims to critically evaluate the current state of digitalization in SGs and SMRs and explore their implications for sustainable energy systems. Herein, we have compiled a table of information sources specifically focused on the integration of digitalization in Smart Grids (SG) and Small Modular Reactors (SMRs). The selected articles were chosen based on specific eligibility, inclusion, and exclusion criteria, ensuring their relevance and quality for our analysis. By conducting an in-depth review of the application of digital technologies in the context of SGs and SMRs, key trends, challenges, and opportunities are identified. The review encompasses various aspects, including advanced sensors, data analytics, optimization techniques, communication technologies, and cybersecurity considerations. The results highlight the potential of deep learning algorithms, data-enabled physics-informed machine learning, and digital twin technology in enhancing the safety, performance, and efficiency of SMRs. Moreover, digital technologies are found to contribute to improved grid management, increased renewable energy integration, and effective demand-side management. However, challenges related to data uncertainty, quality, security, and complexity need to be addressed. The article concludes by emphasizing the transformative potential of digitalization in shaping the future of energy systems and the importance of continued research and collaboration to overcome challenges and fully realize the benefits of digital technologies in the energy transition. © 2023 IEEE.

Given that airborne electronic equipment may have a variety of wiring methods and may encounter a set of systems using multiple power supplies, it is necessary to take some measures on the circuit to ensure the normal work of the power supply and the post-circuit. A portable aviation detection equipment power supply system is designed in this paper. The system supports simultaneous access of two power supplies to identify and judge the input power supply and switch between the battery and the external power supply, effectively avoiding the security risks caused by battery backflow current. The battery power is monitored in real-time through the battery power detection circuit and will be reminded when the battery power is too low. Since the circuit uses a MOS tube to control the switching of the power supply, there is almost no voltage drop loss. In addition, the EMC protection circuit is set up at the power supply side to further improve the safety and reliability of the system. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

WorkTeam: Constructing Workflows from Natural Language with Multi-Agents

Workflows play a crucial role in enhancing enterprise efficiency by orchestrating complex processes with multiple tools or components. However, hand-crafted workflow construction requires expert knowledge, presenting significant technical barriers. Recent advancements in Large Language Models (LLMs) have improved the generation of workflows from natural language instructions (aka NL2Workflow), yet existing single LLM agent-based methods face performance degradation on complex tasks due to the need for specialized knowledge and the strain of task-switching. To tackle these challenges, we propose WorkTeam, a multi-agent NL2Workflow framework comprising a supervisor, orchestrator, and filler agent, each with distinct roles that collaboratively enhance the conversion process. As there are currently no publicly available NL2Workflow benchmarks, we also introduce the HW-NL2Workflow dataset, which includes 3,695 real-world business samples for training and evaluation. Experimental results show that our approach significantly increases the success rate of workflow construction, providing a novel and effective solution for enterprise NL2Workflow services. Knitted fabric simulation seeks to create lifelike virtual representations of various knitted items like sweaters and socks using mathematical models and advanced simulation techniques. Significant advancements have been achieved in this area. Visual simulations of these fabrics now boast enhanced details, textures, and colors, closely resembling real-world counterparts. Additionally, physical simulations have improved the movement and deformation aspects of virtual knitted fabrics, enhancing their realism. However, challenges remain. One major concern is the computational demands of these simulations, which can hinder real-time interactions. Another issue is refining the accuracy of material models, especially when simulating diverse fibers and textures. This paper aims to review the current state of knitted fabric simulation and speculate on its future directions. © 2024 John Wiley & Sons Ltd.

Blockchain is the technology on which cryptocurrencies operate within the 6G Internet of Things. Due to its flexibility, it has received significant adoption in numerous applications as a possible distributed data management solution. Nonetheless, a significant obstacle that impedes blockchain's potential is its constrained scalability, which limits its capacity to facilitate applications requiring frequent transactions. Conversely, edge computing, an innovative technology, addresses the limitations of conventional cloud-based systems by decentralizing cloud functionalities and alleviating problems such as elevated latency and insufficient security. Nonetheless, edge computing presently encounters challenges related to decentralized governance and security. As a result, the integration of blockchain and edge computing within a cohesive framework offers substantial benefits, such as dependable network access and governance, decentralized storage, and computing at the peripheries. This integration effectively mitigates many security problems and guarantees data integrity in edge computing contexts. This article offers a comprehensive analysis of blockchain technology, its attributes, and its relevance in the context of 6G. Additionally, it investigates the amalgamation of blockchain and edge computing, analyzes diverse application cases, and addresses the related issues. Finally, the report delineates contemporary research trajectories and draws conclusions based on the findings. © 2024 IEEE.

Morocco’s exploration of nuclear energy aligns with climate goals and national energy ambitions, providing a low-carbon alternative to fossil fuels. Despite the adoption of renewable energies, Morocco still needs to enhance its energy resilience. This article explores Morocco’s preparedness in the case of considering the introduction of nuclear energy to support the energy mix and mitigate the issue of energy dependence. This study employs the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) milestones approach to analyze Morocco’s nuclear readiness and address existing literature gaps. By offering this analysis, the article aims to inform appropriate policy decisions regarding the potential introduction of nuclear energy. Results indicate the nation’s progression into Phase 1, advancing toward a nuclear program decision. Achieving milestone 3 and completing Phase 3 necessitate essential competencies and extensive infrastructure development.

Mobile edge computing (MEC) has been proposed to provide mobile devices with both satisfactory computing resources and latency. Key issues in MEC include task offloading and power allocation (TOPA), for which deep reinforcement learning (DRL) is becoming a popular methodology. However, most DRL-based TOPA approaches are typically developed in a certain environment, lacking the adaptability to unseen environments. Motivated by this, this paper proposes a Fast Environment-Adaptive TOPA (FEAT) approach that could adapt to unseen environments with little fine-tuning. Specifically, we first split MEC states into the internal state and environmental state. Then, based on these two types of states, we develop two main components of FEAT - a group of internal state-dependent TOPA meta-policies and an environmental state-embedded steerer. Meta-policies learn TOPA skills within the internal state space (allowing reusing meta-policies in different environments), while the steerer learns to choose appropriate meta-policies according to embedded environmental states. When encountering an unseen environment with the same internal state space, FEAT only needs to fine-tune the steerer using the newly embedded environmental state with few internal state explorations. Extensive experimental results on simulation and testbed demonstrate that FEAT outperforms the state-of-the-art by more than 16.4% in terms of fine-tuning speeds. © 2023 IEEE.
