To keep up with the dynamic nature of the modern classroom, teachers must have access to online learning platforms for professional development purposes. This investigation looks at how these platforms can be used to improve teachers' skills, make information sharing easier, and open doors to CPD opportunities. This study examines the relationship between online resources and methods to demonstrate how digital tools have an impact on teacher training and professional development by leveraging AI. It also draws attention to the fact that these platforms are helping with information-methodological support for teachers as well as the ongoing reforms in our nation. Incorporating empirical observations and case studies, the analysis demonstrates how effective online platforms are in fostering a collaborative and innovative environment for professional learning. Digital transformation has the potential to radically alter how teachers obtain professional development, and this study emphasizes that fact. This will enable teachers to effectively address the demands of modern classrooms.

At present, with the improvement of people's living standards, food borne pathogens, as one of the biggest threats to food safety, are widely valued by people. Therefore, it is urgent to create a fast and efficient method for detecting foodborne pathogens. This article discusses the establishment of a fast and non-destructive detection method for foodborne pathogenic bacteria using terahertz time-domain spectroscopy. In this study, the bacterial dry powder of Cronobacter sakazakii was mixed with polyethylene with different mass ratios (0 %, 1 %, 5 %, 10 %, 20 %, 30 %, 40 %, 50 %, 100 % w/w) to make tablet, the thickness of the tablet is 1~1.4 mm, and the diameter is 1.4 cm, and the mass is 0.18 g. Transmission spectrum was used for detection. By observed and analyzed the absorption spectra, the waveforms of three groups of repeated data showed consistency, and there were obvious characteristic absorption peaks at 1.28 and 1.78 THz. The accuracy of clustering software analysis results is 100 %, which shows that the method has good stability and specificity. The detection limit of Cronobacter sakazakii is 1%. We have successfully established a terahertz time-domain spectral detection method for foodborne pathogens. This method is rapid, stable and sensitive, and has a broad application prospect.

This study explores the potential ofAcacia Ataxacantha(Acacia) biomass as a low-cost and effective biosorbent for removing methylene blue dye (MB) and ciprofloxacin antibiotic (CIP) from water. The biosorbent was thoroughly characterized using FTIR, BET, SEM-EDX, XRD, and TGA-DTG, confirming the presence of key functional groups (−OH, −COOH). Optimal removal was achieved at room temperature, pH 7, and a biomass dosage of 2 g/L, with short equilibrium times of 30 min for MB and 5 min for CIP─faster than many conventional adsorbents. Isotherm analysis revealed that MB adsorption followed the Temkin model, whereas CIP conformed to the Langmuir model. The latter model showed maximum adsorption capacities of 133 mg/g for MB and 171 mg/g for CIP, which are comparable to or better than those of other biosorbents. The surface coverage at 25 °C was 36% for MB and 32% for CIP, indicating partial site utilization. Kinetic studies indicated that the adsorption process fits a pseudo-second-order model. Activation energy calculations yielded 34.5 kJ/mol for MB and −23.0 kJ/mol for CIP, indicating distinct adsorption mechanisms. Thermodynamic analysis confirmed that both adsorption processes were exothermic and spontaneous at 25 °C, with MB showing stronger interaction energy than CIP. A basic cost analysis estimated the production cost of 1 kg of Acacia biosorbent at 1.54 USD. Regeneration tests showed good reusability for up to four cycles for both MB and CIP. These results suggest that Acacia is a cost-effective and sustainable biosorbent for removing MB and CIP from water, offering a practical alternative to energy-intensive treatment methods.

This phenomenon was reproduced in 8% of 412 PMDT EEG from 4 databases. We designed the PaLOSindex (PaLOSi) to indicate this phenomenon by decomposing the cross-spectraatdifferent frequenciesinto the common principal component spaces. We found that the PaLOS biophysically implied a prominently dominant dipolein the source spacewhich wasimplausible for the resting EEG. And it may be practically resulted from *** with the 1966 normative EEG cross-spectra, theHBN and the PMDT EEG with PaLOS presented generally much higherelectrode pairwise coherences and highersimilarity of coherence-based network patterns, which went against the known frequency dependent characteristic of coherence networks. Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is a robust stochastic optimization algorithm for solving complex and constrained optimization problems. This paper aims to systematically investigate the influence of diverse random number distributions on the learning parameters of PSO and evaluate the algorithm's sensitivity based on these parameters. To this end, several exhaustive numerical experiments were conducted on several test functions, including asymmetric Sphere, Easom, and Csendes. Initially, appropriate random distributions were identified for the learning parameters and proceeded to compare these distributions using all potential combinations. The sensitivity of PSO to these parameters was evaluated using the mean best score, the relative proximity of the best particle to the theoretical optimum, and the average objective function evaluations. The most significant contribution of this research lies in the insights derived from the experimental data. The discovery was that highly skewed and long-tailed distributions such as Chi, Chi-square, Lomax, and Exponential often underperform. On the other hand, distributions that are bounded proportionally to the problem domain consistently surpass the performance of the standard uniform distribution. These findings significantly enhance the understanding of PSO algorithms and provide valuable guidelines for their practical deployment.

Sodium chloride (NaCl), a ubiquitous and chemically stable compound, has been considered inert under ambient conditions. Its typical B1 structure is highly isotropic without preferential direction, favoring the growth of a three-dimensional network of strong Na-Cl ionic bonds. Here, we employ first-principles structural searching and synchrotron X-ray diffraction to unravel an unexpected chemical reaction between NaCl and N2 to produce a hybrid salt-NaCl(N2)2, where N2 molecules break the isotropic NaCl structure into two-dimensional layers upon synthesis at 50 GPa. In contrast to the insulating properties of pristine NaCl, the electronic bandgap of the N2-stuffed NaCl narrowed to 1.8 eV, becoming an indirect bandgap semiconductor. Further compression to 130 GPa induced the polymerization of N atoms into zigzag N-chains. Our findings not only demonstrate the possibility of unusual N-chemistry under extreme conditions, but also suggest a feasible approach for the design of layered NaCl frameworks to modulate the polymerization of nitrogen. Exploring postselection-induced quantum phenomena with time-bidirectional state formalism

Here we present the time-bidirectional state formalism (TBSF) unifying in a general manner the standard quantum mechanical formalism with no postselection and the time-symmetrized two-state (density) vector formalism, which deals with postselected states. In the proposed approach, a quantum particle's state, called a time-bidirectional state, is equivalent to a joined state of two particles propagating in opposite time directions. For a general time-bidirectional state, we derive outcome probabilities of generalized measurements, as well as mean and weak values of Hermitian observables. We also show how the obtained expressions reduce to known ones in the special cases of no postselection and generalized two-state (density) vectors. Then we develop tomography protocols based on mutually unbiased bases and a symmetric informationally complete positive operator-valued measure, allowing experimental reconstruction of an unknown single-qubit time-bidirectional state. Finally, we employ the developed techniques for tracking of a qubit's time-reversal journey in a quantum teleportation protocol realized with a cloud-accessible noisy superconducting quantum processor. The obtained results justify an existence of a postselection-induced qubit's proper time arrow, which is different from the time arrow of a classical observer, and demonstrate capabilities of the TBSF for exploring quantum phenomena brought forth by a postselection in the presence of noise.

This study (June 2022–July 2023) investigates the atmospheric concentrations of carbonaceous species, including organic carbon (OC) and elemental carbon (EC), in PM2.5 in two major cities in Kazakhstan. Samples were collected from two sites in Almaty (Seifullin and KazNU) and one in Astana. The results showed that Almaty had significantly higher annual average concentrations of OC (10.8 and 10.5 μg/m3) and EC (1.68 and 1.87 μg/m3) compared to Astana (OC: 7.1 μg/m3, EC: 0.61 μg/m3). Both cities exhibited pronounced seasonal variations, with significantly elevated concentrations (1.5–3.4 times for OC, 2.1–4.8 times for EC) during the heating season compared to the non-heating season. This indicates a significant influence of coal and biomass combustion for heating on carbonaceous aerosol concentrations. Both cities’ OC/EC ratios varied widely (2.6–39.4), showing strong positive correlations (0.61–0.94) across all seasons except summer, suggesting a common primary emission source. Primary organic carbon dominated OC levels in winter (71–74%), whereas secondary organic carbon contributed significantly to OC concentrations in summer (43–50%). Higher OC-EC concentrations correlated with lower atmospheric visibility values. The OC-EC contributions to the total light extinction coefficient were estimated to be 15.3–15.9% for Almaty and 12.0% for Astana stations. © 2024 Elsevier Ltd

This paper refers to real-life data on energy consumption from three companies, connected to a medium voltage grid. The companies use single-, two-, or three-zone tariffs and the general characteristic of their activity is comparable. The input dataset contains hourly electricity consumption recorded from January 2020 to December 2020. The independent variables used for the study include weather, time-dependent factors, and aggregated energy factors. We perform the prediction of consumption using three methods: naive, multiple regression, and extreme gradient boosting regression. The performance of the methods is compared based on the MSE, RMSE, MAE, and MAPE metrics. The study shows that the scores achieved for the extreme gradient boosting method are higher than for the multiple regression. To gain the interpretability of the energy load forecasting and feature analysis the Shapley additive explanations method is used for the best model. As a result, a ranking of the most important factors is created. It shows the importance of aggregated energy factors and weather conditions while placing daylight and season at the bottom of the ranking.
