Levy Flight Adopted Particle Swarm Optimization-based Resource Allocation Strategy in Fog Computing

The prevalence of the Internet of Things(Io T) is unsteady in the context of cloud computing, it is difficult to identify fog and cloud resource scheduling policies that will satisfy users' Qo S need. As a result, it increases the efficiency of resource usage and boosts user and resource supplier profit. This research intends to introduce a novel strategy for computing fog via emergencyoriented resource allotment, which aims and determines the effective process under different parameters. The modeling of a non-linear functionality that is subjected to an objective function and incorporates needs or factors like Service response rate, Execution efficiency, and Reboot rate allows for the resource allocation of cloud to fog computing in this work. Apart from this, the proposed system considers the resource allocation in emergency priority situations that must cope-up with the immediate resource allocation as well. Security in resource allocation is also taken into consideration with this strategy. Thus the multi-objective function considers 3 objectives such as Service response rate, Execution efficiency, and Reboot rate. All these strategies in resource allocation are fulfilled by Levy Flight adopted Particle Swarm Optimization(LF-PSO). The evaluation is performed to determine whether the developed strategy is superior to numerous traditional schemes. The cost function attained by the adopted technique is 120, which is 19.17%, 5%, and 2.5%greater than the conventional schemes like GWSO, EHO,and PSO, when the number of iterations is 50.

Analyze the impact of feature selection techniques in the early prediction of CKD

Background: Chronic renal disease, often known as Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), is an illness that causes a steady decline in kidney function. As per the World Health Organization survey, the incidence of CKD may increase from 10% to 13% by 2030. Because of the lack of symptoms in the initial phase, diagnosing CKD early on may be difficult. The key objective of this study is to develop a forecasting model for the early detection of chronic renal disease. Methods: In medical science, Machine Learning (ML) Techniques play a significant role in disease prediction despite numerous studies conducted to categorize CKD in patients using machine learning tools. Most researchers need to analyze the impact of feature selection techniques, yielding high-quality and reliable results. The efficiency of any Techniques/Algorithms depends on feature selection, feature extraction, and classifiers. In this work, the impact of feature selection is experimented with using the Exhaustive Feature Selection (EFS) method. For the early prediction of CKD, a comparative examination of machine learning classifiers, including Gradient Boost (GB), XGBoost, Decision Tree (DT), Random Forest (RF), and KNN (k-nearest neighbors), are utilized. Results: Two types of datasets, standard (New Model) & real-time data sets collected from the dialysis unit of a reputed hospital in Chennai, are used to carry out extensive experiment analysis. Various metrics, including Accuracy, Precision, Recall, and F1-score, are used to tabulate the results of experiments conducted to measure the performance of the proposed approach for various combinations of test and training data. Conclusion: CKD is an irreversible and silent disease;it might have a high impact on many people and begin to manifest themselves at an early age in life. User Task Priority Based Resource Allocation with Multi Class Task Scheduling Strategy and Load Balancing in Cloud Environment

An effective task scheduling method can accommodate user needs, boost resource usage, and boost cloud computing's overall efficiency. However, the unchanging task needs are generally the focus of grid computing's job scheduling, leading to low resource usage. Distributing the dynamic user tasks fairly among all cloud nodes is the goal of load balancing, a relatively new field of study. The primary difficulty with cloud computing is load balancing. By making better use of available resources, load balancing methods improve cloud performance. Load balancing primary goal is to lessen the burden on the environment by cutting down on energy use and carbon emissions. The most crucial characteristics that can both satisfy user needs and maximize resource utilization are used to determine the order of priorities. Existing systems often ignore user priority suggestions in favor of optimal scheduling to improve load balancing. Scheduling that takes into account user-guided priorities uses a data-driven strategy, which helps improve load balancing. Scheduling algorithms that take user priorities into account can optimize load distribution more effectively. The primary objective of this research is to provide a priority based randomized load balancing technique that assigns tasks to virtual machines in a random fashion based on criteria such as the number of users, the amount of time the task takes to run, the type of software being used, the cost of the software, and the amount of available resources. This method maximizes system performance by decreasing response time and resource consumption while increasing metrics like fault tolerance and scalability. This system for scheduling tasks not only accommodates user needs but also achieves excellent resource usage. Secure storage and exchange of health information has emerged as a focus of research in the area of medical technology. The healthcare sector has a high requirement for data security and privacy because most of the healthcare systems maintain data in a centralized manner, storing it all in a single location. Such systems have a significant probability of allowing an anonymous user to access and alter the data, which frequently results in data leakage problems and lack of transparency. In the proposed work, the blockchain technology is used which is a decentralized and distributed ledger that enhances the data security by storing the record on blocks and encryption algorithm to encrypt the data. Here patient is allowed to provide the access permission for the record. An advanced encryption standard (AES) and data encryption standard (DES) algorithm is used for encryption and its encryption time is compared and represented in graph. A novel composite machine learning model for the prediction of compressive strength of blended concrete

Blended cement, comprising clinker and supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs), such as fly ash, slag, and silica fume, forms blended concrete when combined with aggregates. This study introduced a novel ensemble approach, the LightGBM and ANN Fusion (LAF) model, to check the prediction of compressive strength in blended concrete using eight key input features, including cement content, slag, fly ash, water, and curing age, derived from 1030 samples. The LAF model synergistically combines predictions from LightGBM and ANN with the fusion weight (alpha) dynamically optimized using Support Vector Machine (SVM) analysis. This integration leverages the strengths of both models while mitigating their individual limitations. The LAF model exhibited superior performance, with an R² of 0.9514 during training and 0.8863 during testing, significantly surpassing standalone models such as LightGBM (R² = 0.9385) and ANN (R² = 0.9136). It achieved the lowest error rates, including an MSE of 15.7384 and RMSE of 3.9672 during training, underscoring its robust generalization capabilities. The novel utilization of SVM-tuned alpha for dynamic model adaptation reduces overfitting and enhances predictive accuracy compared to traditional ensemble and single models. Comparative analysis with existing ensemble techniques, including stacking and gradient-boosted ANN, further validated the superior accuracy and adaptability of the LAF model. This approach represents a significant advancement in predictive modeling, offering a scientifically sound and versatile framework for concrete strength prediction. Future research will refine the SVM tuning, expand the model’s application to other material properties, and explore real-time deployment, positioning the LAF model as a pioneering tool for smart construction materials. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Skin cancer is a pressing health concern responsible for numerous fatalities in today's world, often diagnosed in its advanced stages, making treatment planning and patient survival challenging. Medical image interpretation, such as MRI as well as CT scans, is crucial for skin cancer diagnosis, but the manual analysis is costly, time-consuming, and can be influenced by biases. DL (Deep learning), a cutting-edge technology, is gaining attention as it allows for the automatic evaluation and interpretation of medical images, reducing the need for human intervention. Deep learning approaches have demonstrated remarkable outcomes in various domains by automatically extracting intrinsic image features, excluding the need for manual feature extraction. This review delves into the application of DL approaches in the diagnosis & detection of cancer, with a particular focus on skin cancer. Detecting melanoma from samples of dermoscopic skin is a formidable task, but employing a machine vision tool, like a deep learning approach, can address some of these challenges. The study introduces an automated melanoma classifier on the basis of DCNN (Deep Convolutional Neural Network) to accurately differentiate malignant from benign melanoma. It also outlines the various deep learning models and steps involved in utilizing these models for skin cancer detection. Recent advancements in the skin cancer detection Deep Learning (DL) methods are explored and summarized, shedding light on the critical challenges that have been faced in accurately detecting the cancer of skin in its early stages. For this research, dermoscopic images from the International Skin Imaging Collaboration datastores (ISIC 2016, ISIC 2017, and ISIC 2020), containing diverse cancer samples, were obtained and evaluated based on metrics like precision, accuracy, specificity, recall, and F1-score. © 2024 IEEE.

Predicting stock market movements presents a formidable challenge due to the inherent nonlinearity and ever-changing nature of financial markets. In this research endeavor, we employ an innovative approach, harnessing the power of an evolutionary algorithm called barnacle mating optimization (BMO), to fine-tune the optimal parameters of a sophisticated neural network known as the Pi-Sigma neural network (PSNN). This intricate optimization process results in the development of a hybrid model, aptly named BMO-PSNN. We put BMO-PSNN to the test by utilizing it for predicting the closing prices of five widely tracked stock indices. In order to provide a comprehensive comparison, we also implement the traditional gradient descent (GD) optimization technique to train the PSNN network for the same predictive task. The performance evaluation is carried out using the average percentage error (APE) metric. Remarkably, the results conclusively demonstrate that BMO-PSNN outshines GD-PSNN in its ability to make more accurate predictions, underscoring the effectiveness of the evolutionary BMO algorithm in tackling the complexities of stock market forecasting. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.
