Fungi are one of the most diverse groups of organisms with an estimated number of species in the range of 2–3 *** higher-level ranking of fungi has been discussed in the framework of molecular phylogenetics since Hibbett et al.,and the definition and the higher ranks(e.g.,phyla)of the‘true fungi’have been revised in several subsequent *** accumulation of novel genomic data and the advancements in phylogenetics now facilitate a robust and precise foundation for the higher-level classification within the *** study provides an updated classification of the kingdom Fungi,drawing upon a comprehensive phylogenomic analysis of Holomycota,with which we outline well-supported nodes of the fungal tree and explore more contentious *** accept 19 phyla of Fungi,***,Ascomycota,Basidiobolomycota,Basidiomycota,Blastocladiomycota,Calcarisporiellomycota,Chytridiomycota,Entomophthoromycota,Entorrhizomycota,Glomeromycota,Kickxellomycota,Monoblepharomycota,Mortierellomycota,Mucoromycota,Neocallimastigomycota,Olpidiomycota,Rozellomycota,Sanchytriomycota,and *** the phylogenies,Caulochytriomycota resides in Chytridiomycota;thus,the former is regarded as a synonym of the latter,while Caulochytriomycetes is viewed as a class in *** provide a description of each phylum followed by its classes.A new subphylum,Sanchytriomycotina Karpov is introduced as the only subphylum in *** subclass Pneumocystomycetidae Kirk et *** Pneumocystomycetes,Ascomycota is invalid and thus *** of fossil fungi in phyla and classes are also discussed,providing examples.

Farmers’ response on introduction of soybean cultivation technology under teak shade

The Indonesian government makes a serious effort to increase national soybean supply by stimulating the intensification and expansion of the planting area. The area of state-owned enterprise forest is one of the potential lands for planting soybean. The components of soybean cultivation under the shade of teak of Iletri include the application of bio-fertilizer, organic and compound NPK fertilizers, certified superior varieties, planting spacing arrangement, drainage channels, pests preventive control, and weeding. The study aimed to find out the response of farmers to the introduction of soybean cultivation technology. The result indicated that soybean productivity varied and was strongly influenced by water availability during the growth period. The difference in planting time caused the varies of average soybean productivity. Soybean farming was able to provide benefit to farmers however the low income received caused the low interest of farmers in applying recommendation soybean cultivation techniques. Higher soybean productivity, higher selling price, and clearer market are still highly expected by farmers to encourage their interest. Therefore, the sustainability implementation of recommendation soybean farming, proper planting time, and more intensive assistance on an ongoing basis need to be done in achieving soybean production as much as the potential yield.

Yield stability of rice varieties in diverse locations is an important aspect in a varietal recommendation to ensure better economic benefits for farmers. Multi-location trials in different locations or seasons will identify consistently high-performing varieties. This study aimed to test the yield stability of selected promising lines previously developed by means of Marker-assisted Breeding. Field trials were conducted in three different types of swampland locations: Lampung, South Kalimantan and Riau. The experiments were carried out in a randomized complete block design with three replications. A total of 15 selected rice lines were evaluated. Seedlings were transplanted to 2 m × 5 m plots with 20 cm × 20 cm planting distance. Yield stability was estimated using various analyses that measure coefficient of variability (Cvi), coefficient of regression (bi), deviation parameter (δ2), coefficient determination (Ri2) and AMMI biplot. Combined analysis of variance showed that line effect (G), environmental effect (E), and G × E interaction were statistically significant different. Using CVi25% and bi<1 threshold followed by AMMI biplot analyses, four lines (line number 1, 4, 6 and 11) were classified as having broad stability. Five lines (line number 5, 12, 13, 14 and 15) showed less yield stability but had better adaptation in tidal swamp environment. The other two lines (line number 3 and 7) showed a greater yield in the coastal swamp area, suggesting their potential as adapted lines suitable to this swampy environment.

The correlation of housing estate area with regional infrastructure development in peri-urban region of metropolitan Bandung Raya

Housing estates development in the peri-urban area is often used as a solution to meet the needs of urban housing. In this case, the development of housing estates built by developers, are including housing units as well as the facilities and infrastructure. Based on this practice, then two opposite opinions emerge about the participation of developers in the development of housing infrastructure. The first opinion acknowledges that residential developers have assisted the government in providing settlement infrastructure. Meanwhile, the second opinion considers the infrastructure development undertaken by the residential developers has precisely caused inefficient regional infrastructure development. This study aims to examine the correlation between the development of housing estates and the development of regional infrastructure by using simple linear regression analyses, in order to prove whether there is a relationship between the two variables. This research was conducted at West Bandung Regency (Kabupaten Bandung Barat), one of the regency that located in peri-urban of Metropolitan Bandung Area. Two variables used in this study consist of the area of housing estates variable and the infrastructure development variable. The infrastructure development variable is represented by The IKG score (Geographic Difficulties Index). In this study, two different levels of the area were conducted to the examination, the village, and the subdistrict. The result of this examination shows that there is a weak correlation between the variables of the housing estates area and The IKG, even though its relationship is getting stronger when the test performed on a larger area. Based on this research, it can be said that the development of housing estates infrastructure in West Bandung Regency has a lack of significant effect on the regional infrastructure development.

Diverse Morphological Characteristics of Soybean (Glycine max L. Merill) Pods and Seeds Germplasm

Soybean production can be increased through the assembly of new superior varieties. In a plant gene assembly, it is necessary first to discover the characteristics of the parents. One way to find out these characteristics is to conduct a morphological study. The current study employed a randomized complete block design with three replications to 10 soybean lines. The longest young and mature pod was found in MLGG 0582. The thickest young pod was observed in MLGG 0583, while the widest was reported by MLGG 0617. MLGG 0276 had the thickest pod skin of all varieties. In mature plants, the widest and the thickest pods were found in MLGG 0582 and MLGG 0707, respectively. MLGG 0617 reported the longest, the widest, and the thickest seed. There was no positive correlation found among the characteristics of the young pods, except the thickness of the pods and the skin (0.816). However, in the mature plants, the characteristics of the pods were positively correlated with the characteristics of the seeds.

Morphological and Anatomical Characteristics of leaves of Ten Soybean (Glycine max L. Merill) Lines

The characterization of the leaf morphology and anatomy can be useful to determine the superiority of the plant. The purpose of this study was to observe and analyze the morphological and anatomical leaves characteristics of the 10 soybean lines. The experiment employed a randomized block design with three replications. The results showed that the highest scores of the leaf length, leaf width, leaf thickness, petiole length, and petiole diameter could be observed in Brg/Myp-3 line. The largest leaf ratio was reported by Anj/MLGG 0511-29, and the lowest scores in the leaf length, leaf width, petiole length, petiole diameter, and leaf ratio were found in MLGG 0892 line. Grb/Lwt-17 and Grb/Myp-25 had the thinnest leaves. Grb/Lwt-12 have the highest number of trichomes, both on the upper and lower surfaces of the leaf, while Grb/Myp-65 had the smallest number. Anj/MLGG 0511-20 and Brg/Myp-14 had the longest trichomes, while Grb/Lwt 17 had the shortest trichomes. The highest number of stomata was recorded in Grb/Lwt-17. The results of the correlation test showed some significant relationships between the leaf characteristics: the length of the leaf and the width of the leaf and the petiole diameter; the length of the upper trichome and the length of the lower trichome, and the width of the upper trichome and the number of the lower stomata.

Modified epidermal tissues on the leaf surfaces, such as trichomes and stomata, are very useful for plants because it helps prevent pest attacks and support photosynthesis. The characteristics of a plant can be determined based on an observation conducted on trichomes and stomata to improve the genetic potentials of the plant. This research aimed to discern the diversity of trichomes and stomata in 10 soybean lines and determine the correlation between the characters. This experimental study employed a randomized complete block design with three replications. The results showed that there were significant differences in all leaf anatomical characters including the number of trichomes and stomata, as well as the length and the width of the trichomes and stomata. Some observed characters were also correlated. Positive correlations were found between the number of stomata and the width of the trichomes, the width of the lower stomata and the length of the trichomes, and the width of the upper stomata and the width of the trichomes. On the other hand, a negative correlation was observed between the length of the stomata and the number of trichomes.

Numerous new taxa and classifications of Dothideomycetes have been published following the last monograph of families of Dothideomycetes in 2013.A recent publication by Honsanan et *** 2020 expanded information of families in Dothideo-mycetidae and Pleosporomycetidae with modern *** this paper,we provide a refined updated document on orders and families incertae sedis of *** family is provided with an updated description,notes,including figures to represent the morphology,a list of accepted genera,and economic and ecological *** also provide phylogenetic trees for each *** this study,31 orders which consist 50 families are assigned as orders incertae sedis in Dothideomycetes,and 41 families are treated as families incertae sedis due to lack of molecular or morphological *** new order,Catinellales,and four new families,Catinellaceae,Morenoinaceae Neobuelliellaceae and Thyrinulaceae are *** genera(Neobuelliella,Pseudomicrothyrium,Flagellostrigula,Swinscowia,Macroconstrictolumina,Pseudobogoriella,and Schummia)are *** new species(Acrospermum urticae,Bogoriella complexoluminata,Dothiorella ostryae,Dyfrolomyces distoseptatus,Macroconstrictolumina megalateralis,Patellaria microspora,and Pseu-domicrothyrium thailandicum)are introduced base on morphology and phylogeny,together with two new records/reports and five new collections from different *** new combinations are also provided in this paper.

Heavy metal concentrations in cocoa beans (Theobroma cacao L.) originating from east Luwu, South Sulawesi, Indonesia

Concentrations of some heavy metals (Pb, Cu, Cd, As and Hg) were assessed for cocoa beans (Theobroma cacao L) originating from east Luwu, South Sulawesi, Indonesia after five-day fermentation. Consisting of PB 123, BR 25, and MCC 02 cocoa clones, the spectrophotometric analysis showed that concentrations of Pb, Cd, As and Hg in the cocoa beans over the three clones was below the detection limits of 0.100; 0.050, 0.010 and 0.005 mg/kg. For Cu, they were 19.343; 10.391, and 18.594 mg/kg respectively, but still below the maximum critical levels, established by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). Concentrations of those five heavy metals in the bean shells were found to be parallel to those in the cocoa beans, except for Pb.
