Point clouds have increasingly become the preferred representation for various visual and graphical applications. denoising diffusion probability models (ddPMs) have demonstrated remarkable applications in areas such as 3d point cloud generation. Furthermore, the ability to generate or reconstruct high-resolution, high-fidelity point clouds stands as a pivotal requirement within this domain. To this end, we propose a geometry aware diffusion model for 3d shape generation. Considering that the global latent shape space overlooks the inherent topology and fine-grained information within the 3d shape itself, we introduce a geometry latent space that operates in a cascaded relationship with the global shape latent space. This latent space combines the global shape latent with the geometry latent space. To generate high-quality point clouds, we conduct training on the geometry latent space, which yields superior results compared to training solely on the global shape latent space. Specifically, we represent the point cloud as a set of unordered point representations with positional embedding. We further employ a geometry aware attention block to model global geometric relationships and retaining local detail features, capturing the inductive bias of the 3d geometric structure of the point cloud. We conduct experiments across various ShapeNet benchmarks, and our approach has demonstrated substantial advancements in the generation of point clouds when compared to the baseline.

Bioprinting provides a new perspective to solve the problem of organ shortage. despite recent technological advances, insufficient printing resolution is still one of the reasons that restrain the development of bioprinting. Normally, the machine axes movement cannot be dependably used to predict material placement, and the printing path deviates from the predetermined designed reference trajectory in varying degrees. A computer vision-based method is proposed to correct the trajectory deviation and improve the printing accuracy. The image algorithm calculates the deviation between the printed trajectory and the reference trajectory to generate an error vector. Furthermore, the axes reference trajectory is modified according to the normal vector approach in the second printing to compensate for the deviation error, and the highest correction efficiency could be achieved 91%. More importantly, we found for the first time that the correction results are in a normal distribution instead of a random distribution. © 2022

A railroad technical operation station is an extensive and complex operation system and a variety of random disturbing factors further increase the complexity of its command and dispatching. To enhance the railroad technical operation stations' intelligence, and integration level, and enhance its dispatching management ability of complex operation plans, based on the ACP approach, this paper designs the parallel dispatching system (PdS) architecture, and describes its key technologies including the artificial dispatching system (AdS), computing experiments, parallel execution, etc. On the basis of the artificial dispatching system, computational experiments can optimize various types of technical operations and the overall operational process, to achieve parallel execution between the actual dispatching system and AdS. PdS can provide more efficient and intelligent command and dispatching solutions for railroad technical work stations, and promote the development of the railroad transportation industry in the direction of higher quality and efficiency. © 2023 IEEE.

Progress in additive manufacturing on new materials: A review

Recent efforts and advances in additive manufacturing(AM) on different types of new materials are presented and reviewed. Special attention is paid to the material design of cladding layers, the choice of feedstock materials, the metallurgical behavior and synthesis principle during the AM process, and the resulted microstructures and properties, as well as the relationship between these factors. Thereafter,the trend of development in the future is forecasted, including: Effects of the particles size and size distribution of powders; Approaches for producing fine microstructures; Opportunities for creating new materials by AM; Wide applications in reconditioning of damaged components; Challenges for deep understanding and applications of the AMed new materials. The idea of "develop materials" or "Create materials" by AM is highlighted, but a series of scientific, technological and engineering problems remain to be solved in future.

Magnesium(Mg)alloys that have both antibacterial and osteogenic properties are suitable candidates for orthopedic ***,the fabrication of ideal Mg implants suitable for bone repair remains challenging because it requires implants with interconnected pore structures and personalized geometric *** this study,we fabricated a porous 3d-printed Mg-Nd-Zn-Zr(denoted as JdBM)implant with suitable mechanical properties using selective laser melting *** 3d-printed JdBM implant exhibited cytocompatibility in MC3T3-E1 and RAW267.4 cells and excellent osteoinductivity in ***,the implant demonstrated excellent antibacterial ratios of 90.0% and 92.1% for methicillin-resistant ***(MRSA)and Escherichia coli,*** 3d-printed JdBM implant prevented MRSA-induced implant-related infection in a rabbit model and showed good in vivo biocompatibility based on the results of histological evaluation,blood tests,and Mg2+deposition *** addition,enhanced inflammatory response and TNF-α secretion were observed at the bone-implant interface of the 3d-printed JdBM implants during the early implantation *** high Mg^(2+)environment produced by the degradation of 3d-printed JdBM implants could promote M1 phenotype of macrophages(Tnf,iNOS,Ccl3,Ccl4,Ccl5,Cxcl10,and Cxcl2),and enhance the phagocytic ability of *** enhanced immunoregulatory effect generated by relatively fast Mg^(2+)release and implant degradation during the early implantation stage is a potential antibacterial mechanism of Mg-based *** findings indicate that 3d-printed porous JdBM implants,having both antibacterial property and osteoinductivity,hold potential for future orthopedic applications.

diabetic wound healing has become a serious healthcare *** high-glucose environment leads to persistent bacterial infection and mitochondrial dysfunction,resulting in chronic inflammation,abnormal vascular function,and tissue *** solve these issues,we developed a double-network hydrogel,constructed with pluronic F127 diacrylate(F127dA)and hyaluronic acid methacrylate(HAMA),and enhanced by SS31-loaded mesoporous polydopamine nanoparticles(MPdA NPs).As components,SS31,a mitochondria-targeted peptide,maintains mitochondrial function,reduces mitochondrial reactive oxygen species(ROS)and thus regulates macrophage polarization,as well as promoting cell proliferation and migration,while MPdA NPs not only scavenge ROS and exert an anti-bacterial effect by photothermal treatment under near-infrared light irradiation,but also control release of SS31 in response to *** F127dA/HAMA-MPdA@SS31(FH-M@S)hydrogel has characteristics of adhesion,superior biocompatibility and mechanical properties which can adapt to irregular wounds at different body sites and provide sustained release of MPdA@SS31(M@S)*** addition,in a diabetic rat full thickness skin defect model,the FH-M@S hydrogel promoted macrophage M2 polarization,collagen deposition,neovascularization and wound ***,the FH-M@S hydrogel exhibits promising therapeutic potential for skin regeneration.

Magnesium and its alloys have garnered significant attention as promising materials for bone tissue engineering, owing to their bone-like density and elastic modulus, favorable mechanical properties, biodegradability, biocompatibility, and diverse biological activities. However, rapid degradation, subcutaneous gas formation from H2 release, and osteolysis caused by elevated Mg concentrations have limited its widespread clinical application. In this study, Mg-3.0Gd-1Zn-0.4Zr (GZ31K) alloy with desirable uniform degradation and stress corrosion resistance under extruded and drawn condition was used as internal fixation implants for fracture healing, while the commercially available WE43 alloy was used as control. Results revealed that GZ31K alloy exhibited refined grain structure, nanoscale distributed stacking faults and superior corrosion resistance compared to WE43 alloy. A study is conducted on the LH5T-13.5M electric crane, focusing on the swing characteristics of the load during steel coil lifting operations and the displacement issue of the crane. Initially, the system model is formulated using the Lagrange dynamic equations, translating the practical challenges into a solvable mathematical framework and deriving the transfer function of interest. Subsequently, the development of three control strategies is elucidated, formulated on the basis of the established model: a conventional PId control system, a fuzzy PId control system, and an adaptive proportional factor fuzzy neural PId controller. These systems are simulated and validated using Simulink. A comparative experimental setup is employed to evaluate performance. The results show that when the step input signal is 1, the maximum absolute load swing Angle of the traditional PId, fuzzy PId and adaptive scale factor fuzzy neural PId controller are 0.185°, 0.054° and 0.049° respectively for the working condition 1 experiment. The percentage overshoot corresponding to the wheelbarrow is 37.1%, 40.0%, and 30.5%, respectively. The findings indicate that the introduced fuzzy neural PId controller, equipped with an adaptive scaling factor, exhibits superior stability and effectiveness in maintaining the crane's operation within the optimal range of parameters.

Inconel 718/CuCrZr multi-metallic materials with good bonding were prepared by laser powder bed melting technology. The effects of process parameters on the interface characteristics of Inconel 718/CuCrZr multi-metal materials prepared by laser powder bed melting technology were studied. Through the optimization of process parameters, the defect-free interface bonding between Inconel 718 and CuCrZr transition zone is realized. In addition, the microstructure characteristics, element distribution, microhardness and tensile properties of CuCrZr and Inconel 718 multi-metal materials were studied, and the melting behavior, interface characteristics and formation mechanism of multi-metal materials were discussed. The experimental results show that the linear energy density (LEd) range of 45.34-58.28 J/mm is suitable for the formation of Inconel 718/CuCrZr multi-metal materials. The formation of the interface characteristics is mainly attributed to the combined effect of Marangoni convection and atomic diffusion, which promotes the uniform mixing of Ni and Cu elements, helps to form a stable diffusion layer at the interface, and realizes the natural transition between the two metal interfaces, indicating that there is a good metallurgical bonding at the interface of Inconel 718/CuCrZr multi-metal materials. At the same time, the equiaxed grain structure and grain refinement were observed in the diffusion zone, which was also reflected in the longitudinal section hardness distribution of the bimetallic interface. The tensile test results show that the specimen exhibits different deformation mechanisms in the transverse and longitudinal directions. In the transverse direction, the fracture occurs in the CuCrZr region, indicating that the interface is well bonded. In the longitudinal direction, brittle fracture occurred at the interface.
