Cratonic Strike-Slip Faults in the Southwest Ordos Basin(Central China)， and Their Influence on Hydrocarbon Accumulation

Cratonic strike-slip fault， despite its potentially significant influence on hydrocarbon accumulation， has attracted limited attention. This study investigates the geometry and kinematics of the cratonic strike-slip faults newly identified within the southwest Ordos Basin， Central China， based on 3D seismic reflection data. We recognized three dominant sets of faults with strike-slip nature trending respectively in NW， ENE， and N–S directions in the study area. These faults exhibit a stratified style characterized by distinct trends across various strata， with ENE-trending faults in the Mesozoic strata (Area A)， N-S-trending faults in the Paleozoic strata， and vertically discontinuous structures in the Mesozoic and Paleozoic strata (NW-trending Yudu fault zone and ENE-trending Yulinzi and Zaosheng fault zones). The contrasting kinematics of strike-slip faults observed in deep and shallow layers further confirm such fault stratification， suggesting isolated fault evolution within respective layers. The quantified fault parameters obtained from seismic reflection data， including length， width and displacement， suggest that these cratonic strike-slip faults in the Ordos Basin are immature. Comparisons with strike-slip faults in other cratonic basins and active tectonic settings suggest that the strike-slip faults within the Ordos Basin are representative of cratonic strike-slip faults， characterized by low maturity and a stratified faulting style， and they have special propagation mechanism (preferentially occurring in the shallow strata of the interior of the basin). Moreover， these fault characteristics have dual impacts on petroleum accumulation in the southwest Ordos Basin. The low faulty maturity makes the fault zone a special hydrocarbon reservoir (fault-fracture volume) in tight sandstone， while the stratified faulting style vertically separates the Mesozoic and Paleozoic petroleum systems in the southwest Ordos Basin. Working collaboratively in groups can positively impact performance and student engagement. Intelligent social agents can provide a source of personalized support for students, and their benefits likely extend to collaborative settings, but it is difficult to determine how these agents should interact with students. Reinforcement learning (RL) offers an opportunity for adapting the interactions between the social agent and the students to better support collaboration and learning. However, using RL in education with social agents typically involves training using real students. In this work, we train an RL agent in a high-quality simulated environment to learn how to improve students’ collaboration. Data was collected during a pilot study with dyads of students who worked together to tutor an intelligent teachable robot. We explore the process of building an environment from the data, training a policy, and the impact of the policy on different students, compared to various baselines. © 2022 Copyright is held by the author(s).

The classification of low permeability-tight reservoirs is the premise of development. The deep reservoir of Shahejie 3 member contains rich low permeability-tight reserves, but the strong heterogeneity and complex micro pore structure make the main controlling factors subjective and the classification boundaries unclear. Therefore, a new indicator considering the interaction between fluid and rock named Threshold Flow Zone Indicator(TFZI) is proposed, it can be used as the main sequence of correlation analysis to screen the main controlling factors, and the clustering algorithm is optimized combined with probability distribution to determine the classification boundaries. The sorting coefficient, main throat radius, movable fluid saturation and displacement pressure are screened as the representative parameters for the following four key aspects: rock composition, microstructure, flow capacity and the interaction between rock and fluid. Compared with the traditional probability distribution and clustering algorithm, the boundary of the optimized clustering algorithm proposed in this paper is more *** classification results are consistent with sedimentary facies, oil levels and oil production *** method provides an important basis for the development of low permeability-tight reservoirs.

Spices are defined as any aromatic condiment of plant origin used to alter the flavor and aroma of foods. Besides flavor and aroma, many spices have antioxidant activity, mainly related to the presence in cloves of phenolic compounds, such as flavonoids, terpenoids and eugenol. In turn, the most common uses of gum arabic are in the form of powder for addition to soft drink syrups, cuisine and baked goods, specifically to stabilize the texture of products, increase the viscosity of liquids and promote the leavening of baked products (e.g., cakes). Both eugenol, extracted from cloves, and gum arabic, extracted from the hardened sap of two species of the Acacia tree, are dietary constituents routinely consumed virtually throughout the world. Both of them are also widely used medicinally to inhibit oxidative stress and genotoxicity. The prevention arm of the study included groups: Ia, IIa, IIIa, Iva, V, VI, VII, VIII. Once a week for 20 weeks, the controls received saline s.c. while the experimental groups received DMH at 20 mg/kg s.c. During the same period and for an additional 9 weeks, the animals received either water, 10% GA, EUG, or 10% GA + EUG by gavage. The treatment arm of the study included groups Ib, IIb, IIIb e IVb, IX, X, XI, XII). Once a week for 20 weeks, the controls received saline s.c. while the experimental groups received DMH at 20 mg/kg s.c. During the subsequent 9 weeks, the animals received either water, 10% GA, EUG or 10% GA + EUG by gavage. The novelty of this study is the investigation of their use alone and together for the prevention and treatment of experimental colorectal carcinogenesis induced by dimethylhydrazine. Our results show that the combined use of 10% gum arabic and eugenol was effective, with antioxidant action in the colon, as well as reducing oxidative stress in all colon segments and preventing and treating genotoxicity in all colon segments. A novel roof tile thermoelectric generator(RT-TEG)was used to harvest electrical energy from a solar heat *** RT-TEG was fabricated and simulated by flat and curved thermoelectric modules consisting of p-n junctions of p-Sb_(2)Te_(3) and n-Bi_(2)Te_(3),with an Al_(2)O_(3) substrate at the top and bottom for heat absorption and heat *** RT-TEG was installed in a roof tile to act as a *** electrical voltage and power values of the curved thermoelectric modules were higher than those of the flat thermoelectric module by 0.44 V and 80 mW,at a temperature difference(ΔT)of 100 *** field tests,the RT-TEG produced a maximum electrical voltage of 33.70 mV and an electrical power of 46.24μW atΔT~7 K under a load resistance of 1Ωunder good sunshine at 13.00 *** energy conversion efficiency of RT-TEG was found to be 2.24×10^(−4).

Exploring paper-based flexible thermoelectric generators (TEGs) is gaining traction as an innovative approach to sustainable energy harvesting. This study evaluates the microstructure and electrical properties of Bi2Te3-Sb2Te3 TEGs fabricated using white paper substrates. We conducted a comprehensive analysis of the overall thermoelectric efficiency of the TEGs. We ensured consistency across samples by employing a uniform painting process to integrate thermoelectric material dispersion onto the white paper substrates. The experimental results demonstrate a clear correlation between white paper and the electrical performance of the TEGs, offering optimized performance due to improved electrical stability. Our findings suggest that selecting the appropriate white paper substrate is crucial for enhancing the efficiency of paper-based TEGs. This research contributes to developing high-performance, flexible thermoelectric devices and underscores the potential of tailored paper substrates in advancing sustainable energy technologies. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. Standardization helps improve supplier compatibility, interoperability, repeatability, security, and quality. The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has highlighted the need for global requirements regarding the interoperability of healthcare information. Currently, Taiwan still relies on the second edition of the Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) as the standard for exchanging medical data, which was formulated 17 years ago. There is currently no unified specification for medical data transformation or review mechanism in place. To address this issue, it is necessary to adopt the widely used international healthcare data exchange standard, Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR), established by Health Level Seven International (HL7). The aim of this research is to simplify the mapping of medical data and convert it into the international FHIR format, enabling rapid data transformation. Additionally, an interface will be designed to meet user habits and requirements. By utilizing common clinical data structures in Taiwan as an example, a mechanism for data conversion and verification will be developed to achieve fast health data exchange and enhance interoperability in the healthcare field. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

This article proposes an intelligent platform for monitoring students' steps on their way to school until they leave the school to their homes. This platform can identify students and notify those responsible and competent authorities in various situations of school life, such as: entering and leaving the school bus, entering and leaving school, entering the school cafeteria, etc. The first application aims to control access to the school bus through facial recognition. In the tests carried out, the recognition system achieved excellent results in all metrics. © 2023 IEEE.
