In situ U-Pb dating of carbonates is very common in the fields of mining and petroleum geology. However, carbonate minerals generally have low U, high common Pb, multiple generations, and uneven elemental distribution, often resulting in relatively low dating precision. Hence, the success rate in U-Pb dating of carbonates by the traditional spot analysis method is generally low. This paper, through combining a mapping method for U-Pb dating with a proprietary visualization and analysis software, ChronoVA, conducted a comparison of the data obtained by both the spot analysis and the mapping method for 3carbonate standards and 2 unknown natural geological samples. We successfully developed a U-Pb dating method for carbonate rocks via LA-SF-ICP-MS elemental mapping and discussed the advantages and limitations of this method. Results show that in comparison with the traditional spot analysis method, the mapping approach has the following advantages:(1) reducing the downhole fractionation effect;(2) simplifying the analytical processes;(3) the elemental imaging data can help to identify multigeneration and mineral inclusions, ensuring the obtained carbonate U-Pb age having an interpretable geological meaning;(4) a large amount of mapping data can significantly improve the accuracy of the dating results. Despite these advantages, in carbonate samples with extremely high common Pb content and high Pb/U ratio, it might be difficult to obtain reliable ages even via the mapping method. In addition, it was understood that the carbonate standard WC-1, which is the most commonly used at present, could be inhomogeneous, and on occasion does not satisfy the SK model in spot analysis.

Traditional surveying and mapping had been extensively used worldwide for understanding heritage and archaeological features in location-based studies, research analysis, documentation, and quantitative interpretations. Mapping of heritage site locations, integrated with geomatics visualization tools, has evolved into an art of documentation that vividly portrays reality in the minds of readers. In the realm of modern technology, Geomatics has emerged as a challenging force, enabling visualization, analysis, documentation, digital restoration, and imaginative exploration through artificial intelligence, virtual reality and augmented reality tools. Even though, Sri Lanka has more than 250,000 archeological sites exist from the pre-historic era, detailed documentation has yet been done for a few archeology reserves only. The scope of this research focuses to design and develop a Heritage Geomatics Model (HGM) to facilitate the Cultural Heritage Information System (CHIS) that can be used at any country domain. research is conducted to classify and integrate heritage, archeology and geomatics parameters to elaborate an integrated model. Conceptual design and feature classification are extensively discussed with relational modeling of geomatics and archeology perspectives. Need of conceptualizing and maintenance of National Heritage Land Domain (NHLD) will also be elaborated with prospective system architecture. In summarizing, the main objective of this research is the integration of heritage and archeology invents with the geomatics parameters to formulate a modular approach as national endeavor. Visualizing of historical artifacts through modern geomatics tools LiDAR, Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Drone photography will be systematically formulated through the system. The research paper will benefit the researchers and archeology authorities to initiate a comprehensive Heritage Information System (HIS) integrated with the national land Information System aligned

Increasing global water shortages are accelerating the pace of membrane manufacturing, which generates many environmentally harmful *** challenges need a radical rethink of developing innovative membranes that can address freshwater production without generating environmentally harmful *** work utilized the synthesized ultra-long hydroxyapatite(UHA)by the solvothermal method using the green solvent oleic acid in preparing UHA-based forward osmosis *** membranes were developed using different loading ratios of graphene oxide(GO)by vacuum-assisted filtration *** prepared GO/UHA membranes were identified using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope,Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, and X-ray photoelectron *** contact angle and pore size distribution were determined for the obtained GO/UHA *** obtained hierarchical porous structure in the prepared membranes with interconnected channels results in a stable water flux with reverse salt *** best water flux rate of 42±2 L·m^(–2)·h^(–1)was achieved using the 50 mg GO/UHA membrane, which is 3.3 times higher than the pristine membrane, and a reverse salt flux of 67 g·m^(-2)·h^(–1).The obtained results showed a promising capability of a new generation of sustainable inorganic-based membranes that can be utilized in freshwater generation by energy-efficient techniques such as forward osmosis.
