One of the state-of-the-art direction of arrival (DOA) estimation techniques is formulated as a classification problem using deep learning. However, it inherently suffers from quantization errors during the classification formulation. This weakness is further amplified in two-dimensional (2D) sound source localization (SSL). To address this limitation in 2D SSL, this paper aims to develop a quantization-error-free training objective, named Unbiased Label Distribution (ULD), along with a corresponding decoding scheme for the predicted distribution. The key idea is to use multiple adjacent classes jointly to eliminate quantization error. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm significantly breaks the quantization error limit when the classification model achieves high accuracy. It also demonstrates strong robustness in low signal-to-noise ratio, high reverberation, and far-field environments.

Besides being clean, the Bali system must also be reliable to ensure the quality of electricity supply to support tourism growth. To address these challenges, a comprehensive plan is needed for generation expansion planning (GEP) in the Bali system, considering both clean energy and the adequacy of the electricity supply. Therefore, this research analyzes and investigates GEP scenarios that could accelerate the achievement of a clean and reliable Bali system. Several scenarios were developed to achieve the research objectives, such as BAU, Bali islanded, and Bali islanded with NRE target. The results show that the Bali system remains reliable even if the Java-Bali interconnection is disconnected. This is because the relocated Grati GT PP came online in 2023. Achieving a clean Bali system requires the support of gas and all renewable energy potential in Bali. Utilizing gas and renewable energy potential reduces CO 2 emissions by 12% for the Bali islanded scenario and 17% for the Bali islanded NRE target scenario. However, this reduction in CO 2 emissions is accompanied by an increase in LCOE of 20% for the Bali islanded scenario and 24% for the Bali islanded NRE target scenario.

With the advancement of technology and the spread of multi-core systems, the need for parallelization arises and the interest in programming models is growing. At the same time, new distributed computing models have been proposed, being in fierce competition to obtain the highest possible performance. The Drop Computing Paradigm proposes the idea of decentralized computing over ad-hoc opportunistic networks of mobile and Edge devices. In this respect, the Drop Computing model does not only aim to achieve a minimum turnaround time but also to optimize other characteristics related to mobile devices, such as limited resources and opportunistic communication. Therefore, it is necessary to define a new programming model called DroMPI that intends to extend the capabilities of current parallel and distributed programming models, based on the Drop Computing paradigm. Therefore, the solution aims to develop a library that takes advantage of hardware capabilities in the interest of the Drop Computing paradigm and also provides programmers with a high-level programming interface. The library’s features will be based on the Message Passing Interface (MPI) standard, which will be responsible for inter-node parallelization. The name of the library, DroMPI, is an acronym for Drop Computing and MPI. The implementation of the model will be responsible for the management of communication between nodes and for providing an Application Programming Interface (API) for the development of parallel applications in the Drop Computing paradigm.

This paper takes a coaxial rotor Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) as the research object, the problem of controlling the position and orientation of this UAV is solved. The nonlinear mathematical model of the coaxial rotor UAV is novelty present and a hierarchical controller is adopted to solve this problem. The controller includes the attitude controller of inner loop and the position controller of outer loop, which are both adopting backstepping control technique to track the reference position. Numerical simulations present that the coaxial rotor UAV can perfectly track the predefined trajectory, which demonstrates the good performance of the designed control strategy. © 2022 IEEE.

Spinel cobalt oxide(Co_(3)O_(4)),consisting of tetrahedral Co^(2+)(CoTd)and octahedral Co^(3+)(CoOh),is considered as promising earth-abundant electrocatalyst for chlorine evolution reaction(CER).Identifying the catalytic contribution of geometric Co site in the electrocatalytic CER plays a pivotal role to precisely modulate electronic configuration of active Co sites to boost ***,combining density functional theory calculations and experiment results assisted with operando analysis,we found that the Co_(Oh) site acts as the main active site for CER in spinel Co_(3)O_(4),which shows better Cl^(-)adsorption and more moderate intermediate adsorption toward CER than CoTd site,and does not undergo redox transition under CER condition at applied *** by above findings,the oxygen vacancies were further introduced into the Co_(3)O_(4) to precisely manipulate the electronic configuration of Co_(Oh) to boost Cl^(-)adsorption and optimize the reaction path of CER and thus to enhance the intrinsic CER activity *** work figures out the importance of geometric configuration dependent CER activity,shedding light on the rational design of advanced electrocatalysts from geometric configuration optimization at the atomic level.

In order to improve the efficiency of metal-induced lateral crystallization (MILC) using Ni, it is important to understand the fundamental mechanisms. In this study, the NiSi 2 /amorphous Si (a-Si) interface is appropriately modeled and the atom transfer behavior during the MILC process was explored by first-principles calculations. It is found that the overall picture of MILC mechanism can be effectively comprehended through three fundamental processes: (1) the formation of Ni vacancies at the a-Si interface, (2) the diffusion of Ni vacancies within the bulk NiSi2, and (3) the reconstruction of the c-Si interface. The trends under stress, observed in experiments, are explained by applying this mechanism to the MILC process.

In the realm of healthcare, the integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has revolutionized patient monitoring, allowing for real-time data collection and analysis. This abstract introduces a novel approach to patient monitoring utilizing a hybrid Long Short-Term Memory-Recurrent Neural Network (LSTM-RNN) architecture combined with Lion Optimization for enhanced feature selection. The proposed system aims to predict and monitor patient health conditions, particularly focusing on cardiac health. By harnessing IoT devices for continuous data acquisition, vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation levels are collected in real-time. The hybrid LSTM-RNN model is employed to analyze this data, leveraging its ability to capture temporal dependencies and patterns in sequential data. Furthermore, Lion Optimization, inspired by the hunting behavior of lions, is utilized for feature selection to enhance the predictive accuracy of the model. This optimization technique intelligently selects the most relevant features from the collected data, thereby improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the predictive model. The combination of IoT-based patient monitoring, hybrid LSTM-RNN architecture, and Lion Optimization offers a accuracy of 99.99 %, precision of $\mathbf{9 7 \%}$, recall of $\mathbf{9 6 . 0 6 \%}$, and f1 measure of $\mathbf{9 6 . 5 3 \%}$. By providing early detection and prediction of health issues, this approach facilitates timely interventions and personalized treatment plans, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes and quality of life.

In gas-fired radiant tube heaters, the combustible gas is burned in the tube, and the generated heat is radiated to the heater. This method avoids the release of hazardous gases which harm the internal environment of the heater. Effectively storing and reusing heat energy has considerable economic and environmental benefits. To achieve these goals, a heat exchanger can be installed at the front end of the radiant tube to preheat fresh air with the enthalpy of the flue gas. However, most radiant tubes have low surface temperature uniformity. Thus, we designed double-P-type radiant tubes to increase the temperature uniformity by incorporating flame tubes. ANSYS/FLUENT was used to construct models for numerical simulations and identify the difference between the highest and lowest temperatures of the straight tube section. Six designs were investigated including 1) a baseline radiant tube and radiant tubes with 2) heat conduction bars on the straight tube section, 3) heat conduction bars on both the straight tube and branch tube sections, 4) flame tubes on the straight tube section, 5) both heat conduction bars and flame tubes on the straight tube section, and 6) both heat conduction bars and flame tubes on both the straight and branch tube sections. The radiant tube stress and deformation were simulated to identify the design with the lowest temperature difference and the effect of the temperature difference on radiant tube strain. The simulation results revealed that adding flame tubes significantly decreased the inner-wall temperature difference and was more effective than other designs. In addition, adding heat conduction bars in the outer wall effectively reduced the high-temperature zones of the tube wall. The results can be used as a reference for optimizing gas-fired radiant tubes.
