A subscription movie streaming service from the United States, Netflix, has been present in Indonesia since 2016 and provides a wide variety of films without showing any single advertisements that can be viewed from anywhere, as long as there is access to the internet. Despite these advantages, many users have complained through the Google Play Store's comments column. Some of the common complaints include frequent buffering and connectivity issues, dissatisfaction with the limited selection of Indonesian movies, lack of subtitles for specific languages, or pricing concerns have also been raised. In this study developed two combined scenario methods using the InSet and SentiStrength_id dictionary to obtain better performance and compare them against independent InSet and SentiStrength_id. This study collected users' comments for the Netflix app in the Google Play Store as a dataset using web scraping techniques through the Google Collaboration tool. The dataset contains 3250 rows spanning the period from January 22, 2024, through June 6, 2024. To ensure proper processing of the text, data cleaning, lowercasing, normalization, tokenization, stemming, and stopwords removal are conducted. The results show that most user opinions are negative. The InSet dictionary has an accuracy of 92%, SentiStrength_id 78%, Combined scenario 1 is 87%, and scenario 2 reaches the highest among others which is 92.52%.

Efficient Object Rearrangement via Multi-view Fusion

The prospect of assistive robots aiding in object organization has always been compelling. In an image-goal setting, the robot rearranges the current scene to match the single image captured from the goal scene. The key to an image-goal rearrangement system is estimating the desired placement pose of each object based on the single goal image and observations from the current scene. In order to establish sufficient associations for accurate estimation, the system should observe an object from a viewpoint similar to that in the goal image. Existing image-goal rearrangement systems, due to their reliance on a fixed viewpoint for perception, often require redundant manipulations to randomly adjust an object’s pose for a better perspective. Addressing this inefficiency, we introduce a novel object rearrangement system that employs multi-view fusion. By observing the current scene from multiple viewpoints before manipulating objects, our approach can estimate a more accurate pose without redundant manipulation times. A standard visual localization pipeline at the object level is developed to capitalize on the advantages of multi-view observations. Simulation results demonstrate that the efficiency of our system outperforms existing single-view systems. The effectiveness of our system is further validated in a physical experiment. Modular Self-Lock Origami: design, modeling, and simulation to improve the performance of a rotational joint

Origami structures have been widely explored in robotics due to their many potential advantages. Origami robots can be very compact, as well as cheap and efficient to produce. In particular, they can be constructed in a flat format using modern manufacturing techniques. Rotational motion is essential for robotics, and a variety of origami rotational joints have been proposed in the literature. However, few of these are even approximately flat-foldable. One potential enabler of flat origami rotational joints is the inclusion of lightweight pneumatic pouches which actuate the origami’s folds;however, pouch actuators only enable a relatively small amount of rotational displacement. The previously proposed Four-Vertex Origami is a flat-foldable structure which provides an angular multiplier for a pouch actuator, but suffers from a degenerate state. This paper presents a novel rigid origami, the Self-Lock Origami, which eliminates this degeneracy by slightly relaxing the assumption of flat-foldability. This joint is analysed in terms of a trade-off between the angular multiplier and the mechanical advantage. Furthermore, the Self-Lock Origami is a modular joint which can be connected to similar or different joints to produce complex movements for various applications;three different manipulator designs are introduced as a proof of concept. Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine Learning (ML) are recent trends in huge data management. Traditionally, data management was carried out by humans where big data collection, analysis and acquisition were solely done by humans. However, IoT and ML have enabled machines rather than humans to collect big data, analyse them and develop a new business model. It has shown huge success in industry 4.0;however, during the management of big data, large-scale companies encountered certain issues. These include, lack of effective training leads to less accuracy in data management, security issues during cloud computing and security issues in blockchain as well. Therefore, this study has explained the ways to improve big data management through ML and to enhance the security of blockchain. A primary survey was carried out with 50 respondents who provided their responses to certain questions related to big data management solutions and blockchain security. Findings showed that providing training to the workers and using guidelines/policies in blockchain can increase the data management accuracy and can improve the security in cloud computing, respectively. © 2022 IEEE.

We investigated the effect of copper ion concentration in zinc-copper dual-ion electrolytes to suppress dendrites and extend the cycle life of zinc ion capacitors. The devices were characterized in terms of changes in microstructure and cycling stability. The nuclei size was decreased in the optimal copper ion concentration to promote lateral deposition and avoid vertical dendrites. The device exhibited stable cycling performance with a capacitance retention of 95% after 10,000 redox cycles, compared to the device with single zinc ion electrolyte which short circuited at around 1,250 redox cycles.

We present the Wildland-fire Infrared Thermal (WIT-UAS) dataset for long-wave infrared sensing of crew and vehicle assets amidst prescribed wildland fire environments. While such a dataset is crucial for safety monitoring in wildland fire applications, to the authors' awareness, no such dataset focusing on assets near fire is publicly available. Presumably, this is due to the barrier to entry of collaborating with fire management personnel. We present two related data subsets: WIT-UAS-ROS consists of full ROS bag files containing sensor and robot data of UAS flight over the fire, and WIT-UAS-Image contains hand-labeled long-wave infrared (LWIR) images extracted from WIT-UAS-ROS. Our dataset is the first to focus on asset detection in a wildland fire environment. We show that thermal detection models trained without fire data frequently detect false positives by classifying fire as people. By adding our dataset to training, we show that the false positive rate is reduced significantly. Yet asset detection in wildland fire environments is still significantly more challenging than detection in urban environments, due to dense obscuring trees, greater heat variation, and overbearing thermal signal of the fire. We publicize this dataset to encourage the community to study more advanced models to tackle this challenging environment. This paper examines several widespread assumptions about artificial intelligence, particularly machine learning, that are often taken as factual premises in discussions on the future of patent law in the wake of 'artificial ingenuity'. The objective is to draw a more realistic and nuanced picture of the human-computer interaction in solving technical problems than where 'intelligent' systems autonomously yield inventions. A detailed technical perspective is presented for each assumption, followed by a discussion of pertinent uncertainties for patent law. Overall, it is argued that implications of machine learning for the patent system in its core tenets appear far less revolutionary than is often posited. © 2022 Published by OUP and CH Beck on behalf of GRUR e.V.

In this work we present a technique to select the best robot for accomplishing a task assuming that the map of the environment is known in advance. To do so, capabilities of the robots are listed and the environments where they can be used are mapped. There are five robots that included for doing the tasks. They are the robotic lizard, half-humanoid, robotic snake, biped and quadruped. Each of these robots are capable of performing certain activities and also they have their own limitations. The process of considering the robot performances and acting based on their limitations is the focus of this work. The wavefront algorithm is used to find the nature of terrain. Based on the terrain a suitable robot is selected from the list of five robots by the wavefront algorithm. Using this robot the mission is accomplished. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. The voice patterns of gender and age have been used as speaker's identity and implied into sectors such as smart cards, healthcare, banking, and other security access controls. However, age, illness, and ambient noise factors exist challenging issues of voice changes in speech recognition systems to be resolved. This paper presents experiment results of observing those issues, and its goal was obtaining the elements of voice features to secure the speaker's identity. Mel-frequency Cepstral Coefficient (MFCC) was used to conduct observations on spectral centroid and bandwidth, it has effectively performed capturing features of individual speech signal. The experiment was conducted with data split into three groups: under 13, range 13 to 19, and above 19 years old for both male and female. The results showed that both gender under 13 have centroid voices reached to 98%, age of 13 to 19 remain with centroid reached 98% of bandwidth for male and passing over 100% for female, then above 19 for both genders speak lower with centroid 50% of bandwidth, and male above age of 19 remains to keep centroid about 50% and female changes to 95%. MFCC fits to expose the speech spectrum for the purpose of an analysis frame on specific local spectral properties of voices, and the finding is to form a security line or an individual profiling adoption.

Voice synthesizers still present several challenges in the speech of mathematical content, as spoken mathematics has quite peculiar rules. In the synthesized speech, pauses help blind and visually impaired students identify the limits of mathematical operators and subexpressions. However, most studies on pauses define them uniformly or use simple punctuation marks to force the synthesizer to introduce pauses in certain parts of the expression. Speech is a dynamic process and pauses in expressions also need to be dynamic to make the synthetic speech of expressions more natural, as this can help in memorizing this type of content. This work proposed a dynamic model of pauses for mathematical expressions. Collected math expressions spoken by teachers were used to create the model. These expressions were useful for identifying patterns and creating a linear regression model. Blind and visually impaired students evaluated the model. Some improvements were observed when we compared the synthesized mathematical expressions with the model and Audiomath, the parameter tool used in this study. © 2022 ACM.
