Designing efficient algorithms to compute a Nash Equilibrium (NE) in multiplayer games is still an open challenge. In this paper, we focus on computing an NE that optimizes a given objective function. Finding an optimal NE in multiplayer games can be formulated as a mixed-integer bilinear program by introducing auxiliary variables to represent bilinear terms, leading to a huge number of bilinear terms, making it hard to solve. To overcome this challenge, we propose a novel algorithm called CRM based on a novel mixed-integer bilinear program with correlation plans for some subsets of players, which uses Correlation plans with their Relations to strictly reduce the feasible solution space after the convex relaxation of bilinear terms while Minimizing the number of correlation plans to significantly reduce the number of bilinear terms. Experimental results show that our algorithm can be several orders of magnitude faster than the state-of-the-art baseline. © 2023 International Foundation for Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems (***). Sign language (SL) is a mode of communication that, in most cases, relies on visual perception exclusively and uses the visual-gestural modality. The advent of machine learning techniques has expanded the range of potential applications, not only in industry but also in addressing societal needs. Previous research has already demonstrated encouraging outcomes in developing sign language recognition systems that are both quite accurate and resilient. Nevertheless, the effectiveness and use of algorithms are impacted not only by their accessibility but also, at times to a greater extent, by the presence of substantial quantities of pertinent data. At the start of the local sign language corpus collection in 2015, there was a notable deficit of local Kazakh-Russian Sign Language data available for computer vision and machine-learning tasks. There were already corpora of another lexically close language, Russian Sign Language, but they were aimed at and tailored for lingustic research. We initiated the procedure by collecting data appropriate for machine-learning purposes. The subsets have been incorporated into the principal corpus and will be subject to future enhancements and refinements. This paper provides an overview of the collected components of the Kazakh-Russian Sign Language Corpus and the resulting outcomes derived from them. © 2024 ELRA Language Resources Association: CC BY-NC 4.0.

Automatic Speaker Identification (ASI) is so crucial for security. Current ASI systems perform well in quiet and clean surroundings. However, in noisy situations, the robustness of an ASI system against additive noise and interference is a crucial factor. An investigation of the impact of interference on ASI system performance is presented in this paper, which introduces algorithms for achieving high ASI system performance. The objective is to resist the interference of various forms. This paper presents two models for the ASI task in the presence of interference. The first one depends on Normalized Pitch Frequency (NPF) and Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCCs) as extracted features and Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) as a classifier. In this model, we investigate the utilization of a Discrete Transform (DT), such as Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT), Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) and Discrete Sine Transform (DST), to increase the robustness of extracted features against different types of degradation through exploiting the sub-band decomposition characteristics of DWT and the energy compaction property of DCT and DST. This is achieved by extracting features directly from contaminated speech signals in addition to features extracted from discrete transformed signals to create hybrid feature vectors. The enhancement techniques, such as Spectral Subtraction (SS), Winer Filter, and adaptive Wiener filter, are used in a preprocessing stage to eliminate the effect of the interference on the ASI system. In the second model, we investigate the utilization of Deep Learning (DL) based on a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) with speech signal spectrograms and their Radon transforms to increase the robustness of the ASI system against interference effects. In this work, we present a novel risk-aware decentralized Control Barrier Function (CBF)-based controller for multi-agent systems. The proposed decentralized controller is composed based on pairwise agent responsibility shares (a percentage), calculated from the risk evaluation of each individual agent faces in a multi-agent interaction environment. With our proposed CBF-inspired risk evaluation framework, the responsibility portions between pairwise agents are dynamically updated based on the relative risk they face. Our method allows agents with lower risk to enjoy a higher level of freedom in terms of a wider action space, and the agents exposed to higher risk are constrained more tightly on action spaces, and are therefore forced to proceed with caution. This paper introduces an innovative optimal control approach to achieve output tracking while incorporating H2-performance specifications in a specific class of nonlinear dynamics modeled by the Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model (TSFM). The primary innovation lies in extending partial eigenstructure assignment to TSFM-based nonlinear systems within the framework of sliding mode control (SMC). We propose a two-step methodology for designing optimal sliding surface gains. Initially, optimal state feedback gains are computed for each rule consequence containing a linear subsystem, adhering to predetermined eigenvalues and satisfying H2-performance criteria. Subsequently, using a convex combination, the overall state feedback gain is calculated and utilized to design sliding matrix gains. The sliding matrix gains are then determined by strategically combining previously calculated state-feedback gains in a convex optimization problem. We reframe the output tracking strategy as a stabilization problem using a virtual control input and reformulate the optimization task concerning tracking state errors. This process yields state feedback gains, sliding gains, and the formulation of the virtual control input. The effectiveness of our approach is verified through comprehensive simulations, emphasizing its capability in addressing output tracking challenges within nonlinear systems. © 2013 IEEE.

YouTube tutorials are very popular among young people. They have become an important pillar in informal education, thus contributing to the rapid acquisition of skills and knowledge. Under these circumstances, we were interested in analysing the YouTube videos comments, knowing that the platform has a continuous increase in popularity, which is also due to the opportunities of sharing them. Sleep is the natural state of relaxation for human being. Sleep quality is an essential yet frequently neglected aspect of sleep in general. Sleep quality is essential because it allows the body to restore itself and prepare for the next day. The standard method for evaluating sleep quality was subjective evaluation. Actigraphy devices, which can measure the sleep cycle, are now widely available. This study developed a method using Fuzzy Logic and an actigraphy device to measure and classify sleep quality. The fuzzy logic method was developed in several stages, which are determining the sleep quality measurement parameters, constructing the fuzzy set for each input variable, and developing the fuzzy rules. To evaluate the proposed fuzzy model, five individuals were invited to participate in the experiment and required to complete the PSQI subjective sleep questionnaire. The evaluation result shows that our proposed Fuzzy model achieves lower error compared to the existing method. © 2023 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.

This paper proposes a new topology of a high-temperature superconducting linear flux switching motor (HTS-LFSM). The electromagnetic characteristics of this novel HTS-LFSM, including flux density, back-EMF, thrust force, and ripple, are analyzed. Key topology parameters of the HTS-LFSM are optimized, and its performance is compared with that of the traditional LFSPM. The comparison shows that the proposed HTS-LFSM can generate higher thrust force and smaller thrust ripple. The results indicate that the proposed machine offers more performance advantages for modern traffic. © 2023 IEEE.
