he successful demonstration of their location tracking alert system for fishermen, Satellites will employ Amazon Web Services (AWS). Using cloud-based computing technology, the activities and whereabouts of fishermen are monitored in real time through this system. The ACS sat will send a vast amount of information in short always-shrinking cycle and store data very efficiently, only the location data for live updates on every moves by the fishermen. Here using this project we are stressing on the need to analyze data and push alerts according protocols, for timely raise alarm which definitely saves Fishermen life. The aim is to develop a Real Time Location Tracking and Monitoring GIS Application, which can trace the fishermen real-time location in marine activities. Analyze location information with the best edge of the sword such as cloud computing and AI /ML. The GIS App will have a simple user interface along with extensive monitoring abilities. Building a GIS App to aid marine safety by improving the tracking and monitoring of fishing operations using cloud technology. In the end, with these benchmarks in tow this could mark a step change and benchmark for maritime operations;as we finally get, safety and productivity combined. © 2024 IEEE.

Machine translation focuses mainly on high-resource languages (HRLs), while low-resource languages (LRLs) like Taiwanese Hokkien are relatively under-explored. The study aims to address this gap by developing a dual translation model between Taiwanese Hokkien and both Traditional Mandarin Chinese and English. We employ a pre-trained LLaMA 2-7B model specialized in Traditional Mandarin Chinese to leverage the orthographic similarities between Taiwanese Hokkien Han and Traditional Mandarin Chinese. Our comprehensive experiments involve translation tasks across various writing systems of Taiwanese Hokkien as well as between Taiwanese Hokkien and other HRLs. We find that the use of a limited monolingual corpus still further improves the model's Taiwanese Hokkien capabilities. We then utilize our translation model to standardize all Taiwanese Hokkien writing systems into Hokkien Han, resulting in further performance improvements. Additionally, we introduce an evaluation method incorporating back-translation and GPT-4 to ensure reliable translation quality assessment even for LRLs. The study contributes to narrowing the resource gap for Taiwanese Hokkien and empirically investigates the advantages and limitations of pre-training and fine-tuning based on LLaMA 2. © 2024 ELRA Language Resource Association: CC BY-NC 4.0.

Copy-move forgeries often exploit homogeneous regions in images with large-scale attacks to either highlight or conceal target objects. These manipulations are simple to execute but challenging to notice. Forgery detection techniques like Copy-Move Forgery Detection (CMFD) cannot detect these forged documents because they are unable to identify a sufficient number of effective keypoints in homogeneous areas, leading to inaccurate and inefficient results. SURF stands for Speeded-Up Robust Features and is used in this paper along with A-KAZE and Scale-Invariant Feature Transforms. According to our experiment, A-KAZE offers superior detection performance under diverse attacks, especially when it comes to large-scale attacks targeting homogeneous regions. A-KAZE is found to be more accurate than SIFT, SURF, and A-KAZE when applied to the NB-CASIA dataset, achieving detection accuracies of 89.2%, 93.9% and 98.98%.) © 2024 IEEE.

Learning to assemble geometric shapes into a larger target structure is a pivotal task in various practical applications. In this work, we tackle this problem by establishing local correspondences between point clouds of part shapes in both coarse- and fine-levels. To this end, we introduce Proxy Match Transform (PMT), an approximate high-order feature transform layer that enables reliable matching between mating surfaces of parts while incurring low costs in memory and compute. Building upon PMT, we introduce a new framework, dubbed Proxy Match TransformeR (PMTR), for the geometric assembly task. We evaluate the proposed PMTR on the large-scale 3D geometric shape assembly benchmark dataset of Breaking Bad and demonstrate its superior performance and efficiency compared to state-of-the-art methods. Place recognition serves as a fundamental component in tasks like loop closure detection and relocalization for mobile robots. Polar coordinate representations, such as Scan Context, which align with the data structure of range sensors, have become the most common data structure for point cloud descriptors in place recognition. While polar representations demonstrate the rotation invariance, they remain susceptible to translation variations. In this study, we introduce a novel approach: shifting the viewpoint of the original point cloud to construct the unified Scan Context, thereby mitigating translation variance. Our key concept focuses on identifying a stable, unified viewpoint for a given place and then pre-translating the point cloud accordingly. This naturally results in a descriptor devoid of translation variance. Importantly, within a given place, the viewpoint unification process tends to relocate the viewpoint to a similar position, irrespective of the original sensor perspective. In other words, the unified Scan Context becomes more closely associated with the place's structural characteristics than the physical location of the sensor. We validate our method through a series of comprehensive experiments encompassing synthetic scenarios and real-world datasets, showcasing its robustness in effectively handling translation variations. © 2024 IEEE.

Coffee beans are one of the high-value commodities in Indonesia, but the sorting method for the quality of coffee beans still uses visual methods and sieves with mechanical machines. This study aims to provide an alternative to classifying coffee beans using Deep Learning algorithms, such as the ResNet-18 and MobileNetV2. The dataset used is USK-COFFEE which consists of two classes, the normal coffee bean class, and the defect coffee bean class. The models were trained using the balanced and imbalanced datasets, meaning that two scenarios were performed. From the results of this study, the accuracy value for the ResNet-18 model was 91.50% when trained on the balanced dataset and 90.87% on the imbalanced dataset. It outperformed the MobileNetV2 architecture, which only achieved 0.8125 and 0.8112 accuracy scores when trained on the balanced and imbalanced datasets, respectively. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.

Liver ischemia and reperfusion injury (IRI) is a vascular complication that can lead to hepatic functional impairment. IRI is relevant in liver transplantation and during liver surgery performed with intermittent vascular inflow occlusion. Detecting intraoperative liver oxygenation impairment and ischemia could help prevent IRI, which is challenging partially due to the multiple hepatic vascular inflows. We propose a robot-assisted wide-area photoacoustic (PA) imaging system to monitor the liver oxygenation level intraoperatively. PA imaging has been widely used for oxygenation detection in preclinical research. We used a robotic arm to actuate the 2D PA probe and scan across the liver surface. An accurate volumetric tomography can be reconstructed via registering 2D images to the recorded robot trajectory. An ex vivo porcine liver sample was scanned using the proposed system. The result suggested that the robot-assisted wide-area PA tomography has the potential to be incorporated into clinical practice to evaluate liver SO2 intraoperatively. © 2023 IEEE.

Since 2019, the world has suffered from the outbreak of the "Coronavirus Disease (COVID)-19 pandemic. This study used the principle of Ultraviolet (UV)-C disinfection to produce a mobile high-power UV-C sterilizer. It focused on combining intelligent control systems, human sensors, and Internet of Things (IoT) systems to carry out disinfection tasks in unmanned indoor spaces. Because of its mobile nature, the sterilizer could be moved at any time in various learning, research, and activity rooms for disinfection. In addition to manually controlling the sterilizer, a Wi-Fi or Narrowband (NB)-IoT-enabled remote control was provided to start the disinfection process. In order to prevent ultraviolet light from harming the human body, sensors were employed self-acting to detect the presence of people and turn off the ultraviolet light when people were detected in the area. At the same time, a camera on the sterilizer would capture an image and notify the relevant personnel through a LINE notification, to prevent the human body from being exposed to ultraviolet light, causing harm to the teachers and students on campus. During operation, voice broadcast reminders and a status indicator could provide information about the operation status. After disinfection, users could view the disinfection process through a mobile device application or a webpage, which would automatically notify relevant personnel of the disinfection status through a LINE notification. In this way, the disinfection progress could be updated at anytime, anywhere and the current disinfection status in the classroom could be displayed in real-time, allowing teachers and students on campus to carry out teaching and learning in a safe and secure environment. © The Author(s).

The impacts incurred by floods regularly affect the planets population, inflicting social and economic problems. Optimal control strategies based on reservoir management may aid in controlling floods and mitigating the resulting damage. To this end, an accurate dynamic representation of water systems is needed. In practice, flood control strategies rely on hydrological forecasting models obtained fromconceptual or data-drivenmethods. Encouraged by recent works, this research proposes a novel surrogate model for water flow in a river channel based on physics-informed neural networks (PINNs). This approach achieved promising results regarding the assimilation of real-data measurements and the parameter identification of differential equations that govern the underlying dynamics. This article investigates PINN performance in a simulated environment built directly from a configuration of the Saint-Venant equations. The objective is to create a suitable model with high prediction accuracy and scientifically consistent behavior for use in real-Time applications. The experiments revealed promising results for hydrological modeling and presented alternatives to solve the main challenges found in conventional methods while assisting in synthesizing real-world representations. Impact Statement-The research seeks to contribute to the hydrological modeling area with a surrogate model based on physicsinformed neural networks (PINNs) to water flow in a watershed. In practice, thesemodels use conceptual or *** models to reach the precision provided by themethodology use large numbers of physical parameters. These parameters can demand deep knowledge about the environment and are possibly hard to identify in a complex basin. Diagnosability is an important parameter to measure the fault tolerance of a multiprocessor system. If we only care about the state of a node, instead of doing the global diagnosis, Hsu and Tan proposed the idea of local diagnosis. Chiang and Tan provided an extended star structure to diagnose a node under comparison model. In this work, we evaluate the local diagnosability better by proposing a tree structure around this node. We provide the corresponding algorithm to diagnose the node. Simulation results are presented for different failure probability of a node in the tree and different percentage of faulty nodes in the tree, showing the performance of our algorithm. © 2024 Institute of Information science.
