The current network security situation of industrial control systems is becoming increasingly severe, and the ICS ATT&CK framework provides a unified knowledge base for attack tactics and techniques for industrial control system network security. This paper presents a RRDD model for network security risk assessment of ICS, which consists of four parts: Risk identification (R), Risk calculation (R), Defense strategy (D), and Defense measures (D). Risk identification is based on the ICS ATT&CK to analyze the network security risk assessment indicators of the ICS, to clarify the vulnerability of the industrial control system, the importance of assets, the threats faced and the existing mitigation measures. Risk calculation is based on the analysis results of risk assessment indicators, establishing a comparative judgment matrix to analyze the relative importance of each indicator, calculating the weight of each indicator, and calculating and grading the overall risk of ICS. Furthermore, the model adopts corresponding safety control strategies and measures based on the risk calculation results, and conducts closed-loop risk assessment and elimination. It can effectively evaluate and disposal the network security risks in ICS. © 2023 ACM.

APT attack investigation aims to provide the security investigators a causal subgraph of the whole causal graph, so that they can easily analyze attacks. However, existing methods either output subgraphs that miss critical attack steps, or are too large and thus challenging to utilize. To address these limitations, we propose a new APT attack investigation approach based on fine-grained sequence construction and learning. Specifically, our approach is built upon the ATLAS framework, and constructs more attack sequences with a finer granularity. It then learns the attack behavior patterns from these constructed sequences. During inference, when presented with an attack symptom, our approach first predicts attack-related nodes in the causal graph and then constructs the causal subgraph based on these nodes. To evaluate our method, we conduct experiments using a simulated environment and four real attacks. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach compared to the state-of-the-art method ATLAS. © 2023 IEEE.

With the large-scale deployment of loT devices, loT security faces huge threats from zero-day attacks, and there is an urgent need to conduct research on loT zero-day attack detection technologies. Aiming at the problem of lack of available samples for zero-day attack detection in loT, we propose a zero-day attack detection method based on generative zero-shot learning. Feature extraction is performed based on the LightGBM model, and then multi-layer perceptron is used to generate attribute vectors. We generate pseudo feature space of data category based on conditional variational autoencoders to train zero-day attack detectors. To comply with real attack detection scenarios, we adopt the generalized zero-shot learning method to conduct verification on the UNSW-NB15 data set. Experiment results show that the precision, recall and Fl of most attack types are above 90%. The average accuracy of our method in detecting zero-day attacks is 93.6%, which is much higher than the baseline method and achieve great detection results.

As a new energy-supply service solution to address massive, distributed energy access to the power system, a virtual power plant has higher transmission reliability and real-time communication requirements. To achieve collaborative optimisation, distributed load and energy resources must be aggregated using new information and communication technology. This study analyses underlying communication technologies for virtual power plant interaction from the perspective of standardisation, efficiency, reliability, and security, summarises the application of blockchain, cloud-edge collaboration, machine learning, and other new information and communication technologies in virtual power plant energy trading, interaction, and scheduling, and proposes ideas for addressing shortcomings in interaction. To improve virtual power plant interaction, performance parameter mapping between communication and business technology, and multilevel virtual power plant interaction technology are proposed. © 2022 The Authors. System logs provide rich information about the current system's state. To make use of system logs, various existing work extracts a causal graph from the log events, and then applies graph-based machine learning algorithms to detect the anomalous behaviors. One limitation of these work is that they treat the graph in a static way, neglecting the dynamic nature of anomalous behaviors. In this paper, we propose to detect anomalous behaviors based on system logs using dynamic graph modeling. Our method consists of several key steps, including negative sampling which helps to balance the dataset, edge encoding which encodes the spatial information for each behavior, and sequence modeling which further models the temporal information. Experimental evaluations on real datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. © 2023 IEEE.

The number and types of network access devices and functions in the cloud computing and big data environments are continuously increasing, so the ability to actively expand network services is needed to ensure that the security and privacy protection needs of network practices are met on a continuous basis. The traditional physical isolation network security protection architecture is facing challenges in new technology scenarios such as big data and mobile Internet, and urgently needs to be changed. Based on this, this paper proposes a 5G-based zero-trust network security platform to better adapt and serve the dynamic network application environment. The security architecture and model are firstly studied to provide security principles of the proposed platform. The implementation scheme of proposed platform is then further analyzed where security algorithms are suggested. The results show that the proposed platform demonstrates better performance in identity, program, configuration and behavior detection. 5G network has attracted much attention from the vertical industry since its commercial use. Compared with previous generations of mobile communication technologies, 5G bandwidth, delay and other communication KPI indicators have been greatly improved. 5G network has three typical application scenarios of large bandwidth, low delay and wide connection. In the power grid scenario, it can meet the needs of various power grid business access. As the key technology to realize 5G, multi-access edge computing (MEC) plays an important role in high-speed and low delay wireless data transmission network and has made indelible contributions to improving end-to-end service quality. In view of today’s increasingly complex network security environment and changing attack means, security attacks against MEC systems and applications have become endless. In order to deal with large-scale and various attacks, this paper studies the micro application security reinforcement and independent application security reinforcement technology deployed in edge computing facilities in the environment of 5G power network, proposes the security reinforcement model of MEC, and strengthens the source code of edge computing facilities based on the so file confusion technology of OLLVM, so as to ensure the safe and stable operation of MEC. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
