Document retrieval using clustering-based Aquila hash-Q optimization with query expansion based on pseudo relevance feedback

A document retrieval system helps users to retrieve the relevant documents corresponding to their query quickly and easily. In the real world, document retrieval is a difficult task due to high volumes of data, unstructured data, and different formats of data. Even though many research techniques are introduced, major problems like vocabulary mismatch and non-linear matching still need to be solved. In this work, the Aquila hash-q optimizer is the proposed matching technique with the clustering technique to retrieve the document in a time-efficient manner for the user query without collision. First, preprocessing is done by eliminating the stop words from the document, stemming, and grouping documents in a cluster into a single document using Hierarchical Density-based Sampling Spatial Cluster of Applications with Noise (HDBSSCAN) clustering. This clustering algorithm is powerful, robust to noise, and scalable and identifies clusters of documents that are related to each other. Additionally, the sampling technique used in this clustering algorithm increases the clustering speed by reducing the size of the document which improves the performance of document retrieval systems. Secondly, the queries are searched using the Aquila hash-q optimizer matching technique by which the relevant documents are retrieved. The Aquila hash-q optimization works by pre-computing a hash table of the terms in a document collection and then using this hash table to quickly identify the relevant documents from the given query. This can significantly improve the speed of document retrieval, especially for large document collections. Aquila hash-q optimization can improve the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of document retrieval systems. Seismic hazard assessment and significance of ground motion prediction equations: a deterministic approach

Earthquakes have the most dominating societal and economic impact on the built environment. The earthquakes in an intraplate region are infrequent but often damaging. The uncontrolled urban growth in cities due to population explosion and migration makes it necessary to assess seismic hazards in an active region. Seismic hazard modeling is a multidisciplinary science that aims to forecast earthquake occurrence and its resultant ground shaking. In the present study, past tectonic earthquake records were observed for the study area and peak ground acceleration was calculated using the deterministic seismic hazard (DSHA) approach. This study quantifies seismic hazard around the district headquarter in Durg of Chhattisgarh. A seismic investigation was performed in the seismic control region over a radius of 300 km. Then, the seismotectonic map was prepared by compiling the earthquake data from 1846 to 2022. The present research then applied a completeness test over the above-collected earthquake data. The seismic parameters a and b values were calculated, and a regional recurrence relationship has been developed. The well-known attenuation model for Peninsular India is considered for estimating the ground motion uniqueness at the bedrock level. The maximum Peak Ground Acceleration (PGA) values for Durg district headquarters and Tandula dam are obtained for 84 percentiles as 0.10172 and 0.08241 g. The results obtained in the present study will be useful for designing seismic-resistant structures in and around the Durg district headquarter. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Improved Cryptography System Using Modified Vigenère and Polybius Cipher

Cryptography is the science of protecting information by transforming it into a secure format. This process can be crucial to offer protection to extremely delicate and confidential records from criminal wrongdoings throughout transmission over the network. Hybrid Algorithms will be formed from the use of different types of ciphers. Ciphers act as an encapsulating system for messages. The earlier methods employ the use of both Vigenère cipher and Polybius square cipher in its encryption process. The ciphertext will first be operated on using Vigenère. A chosen key out of random will initiate the process. At the end of the process, the resulting ciphertext then becomes a message as input for the Polybius square cipher process. The proposed method uses both modified Polybius and Vigenère ciphers to increase the security levels of the cryptanalysis method. This method takes less time to process when compared to the old method. It will be difficult for the cryptanalyst to crack the cipher text. The traditional Vigenère cipher encrypts only the alphabetic plaintext with a 26 × 26 Vigenère table because it includes only 26 English alphabets A–Z. We extended the original Vigenère table into 36 × 36 which introduced digits (0–9). Similarly, we extended the original Polybius table from 5 × 5 to 6 × 6 Polybius table.

A hexagon-shaped fractal ultra-wideband (UWB) Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna is proposed in this paper for S (2 GHz to 4 GHz) and C (4 GHz to 8 GHz) band applications. The proposed design consists of two microstrip fed radiating elements of dimension 82 × 44 × 1.6 mm3. One rectangular stub and four resistance loaded stubs are introduced in the ground plane to reduce the mutual coupling between the radiators. These decoupling structures reduce the notches and enhance the isolation from −5 dB to −20 dB for the entire frequency range from 2.3 to 7.4 GHz. A graphical user interface (GUI) design of an application presents a user-friendly, elegant, concise, and attractive mechanism for interacting with visual components. Android is a powerful Linux-based mobile operating system, and these days android devices are becoming the most sought-after and widely used devices than other types of mobile devices in the mobile application market. Nowadays, android applications (herein as ‘android apps’) have also become popular in the educational sector because of their compatible, efficient, and effective interface to access the content. In android apps, graphical designs are built from GUI components which is an object with which mobile user interacts via various forms of input. This paper presents the basic structured GUI design of an educational android application. These days, the GUI design of any android is an increasingly important factor in deciding whether your app will be accepted by mobile users to achieve success in the market and it also builds a connection between users and applications. In addition, users have more expectations and demands for good quality GUI design. GUI design contains three phases: informational architecture, interaction, and visual design. The aim of this paper helps to explain how to create a basic GUI design of an educational android application by using an integrated development environment (Android Studio) and programming languages such as Extensible Markup Language (XML) with different graphical components such as visual layouts and widgets. To assess user experience, this study has carried the survey using a questionnaire set. Breast cancer in women is a significant public health concern worldwide, with many cases going undiagnosed until the advanced stages. Early detection is crucial for proper treatment and improved outcomes. There are some pre-trained models used by authors for the detection of breast tumor, but these models require extensive computation power due to their many layers and parameters. To address this issue, it is required to proposed convolutional neural network (CNN) model with fewer training parameters for classification of ultrasound images dataset to determine that a particular image is either benign or malignant. In this paper, CNN model is proposed with changes in some hyperparameters like the number of filters, filter size, batch normalization, learning rate, epoch, and batch size, to achieve better accuracy with less computational power. The proposed model was compared to other pre-trained models, including ResNet50, Efficient Net, and VGG16, using two databases (database A for training and validation data, and database B for testing data). Our proposed classifier outperformed than pre-trained classifiers in terms of accuracy. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Dynamic coke-mediated dry reforming of methane (DC-DRM) is an unsteady-state strategy to overcome the limitations of co-feed operation, including the fast deactivation of the catalysts and the loss of valuable H2 in the reverse water gas-shift reaction. This paper proves the feasibility of DC-DRM on Ni-based catalytic systems, identifying suitable metal oxides supports and evaluating the role of metallic promoters. A La-promoted Ni/ZrO2 catalyst exhibited excellent and stable catalytic performances at 800 °C approaching complete conversion of the CH4 and CO2 reactant pulses in the reaction loop, and separation of the H2 and CO product streams. Adding the redox functionality of reducible oxides (TiO2) in the catalyst support is demonstrated as a powerful tool to enable direct formation of syngas in the methane pulse with control on the H2/CO ratio. © 2023, The Authors. In this paper we present Artificial Intelligence (AI) and how it can be used within an organization. The energy efficiency of heat pumps is an important factor for the sustainability and electrification of domestic heating, especially for the most common air-to-water heat pumps, which are a competitive solution to conventional heating methods. However, novel solutions for cold and moderate climate zones must be developed considering environmentally friendly natural refrigerants such as hydrocarbons. One idea is to introduce a thermoelectric-aided sub-cooler into an air-to-water heat pump to improve the coefficient of performance. Therefore, this work aims to experimentally investigate a novel propane heat pump system with a prototype thermoelectric-aided sub-cooler for domestic heating. Energy analysis was performed to evaluate the energy impact of the sub-cooler in terms of ambient conditions from -10.0 ∘C to 5.0 ∘C, different water temperatures for heating applications in existing buildings from 45.0 ∘C to 55.0 ∘C and varying operating conditions of thermoelectric modules in the sub-cooler. The performance of the sub-cooler was evaluated. The results confirm that introducing a thermoelectric-aided sub-cooler can improve the heat pump performance by up to 6.0% and the heating capacity improvement by up to 17.0% for the low ambient temperature of -10.0 ∘C. Furthermore, an optimal direct current voltage below 3.0 V was found for every investigated operating condition to ensure the best system coefficient of performance. © 2025 The Author(s)

While existing literature often delves into specific applications or properties of MNPs, this review embarks on a distinctive journey, presenting a panoramic vista of both conventional and avant-garde applications. This comprehensive review begins with an exploration of the features of nanoparticles and their role in colloidal suspensions or solids. Subsequently, the focus shifts to the fascinating realm of plasmonic catalysis, where the interplay between light and matter is harnessed for sustainable solutions, including localized surface plasmon resonance and plasmon-driven photocatalysis. The discussion then transitions to MNPs’ catalytic prowess, elucidating their involvement in various chemical transformations, from environmental remediation to energy conversion. Finally, it is followed by a captivating segment in the field of biomedicine, where MNPs exhibit remarkable potential in combatting antibiotic resistance and facilitating precise drug delivery.
